Elvis had perfect hair in the live global show. He hair cut was done perfectly by whoever cut it. I had not noticed the fingernail thing until this video. The haircut made his face look leaner to go with his trim frame. Long live the king
He Look So Great No matter what he did to his hair and Nails. Still looks like a King 👑 of Hearts ❤️ and Music what a beautiful man he Always Was He Always Looked So Amazing Well Awesome 😎 Really love 💕 The way he looks So Cool 👌. That’s Elvis Presley ❤🎉😢.
Elvis looks great in this Aloha Rehearsal BUT he looked fabulous after the haircut and groomed nails. I think the audience of the Aloha Special filmed live really did enjoy the additional songs in Elvis’s performance then and the many of us who view it now as well! I hadn’t heard about any of this and I really appreciated this video. Thank you!!
@emaddux942: At the rehearsal concert ("Aloha Rehearsal") Elvis looked much better and was much more relaxed. I love the "Aloha Rehearsal Concert". He didn't want to make any mistakes at the live concert and was a little nervous. After all, it was the first worldwide live concert by an artist. 1.5 billion watching - incredible for 1973. he is the king.
Thankfully, Elvis, made the changes; his hair alone was a great improvement. The night of the concert, which I watched live in 73’ was one of his best-in every sense of the word. Elvis was definitely clear headed and “on top of his game.” What a night….!
I had only noticed the haircut and I preferred him with longer hair and a bit messy which in my opinion made him look younger. Watch him in the rehearsal as he sings American Trilogy and at one point (near the end), he looks back and has hair on his forehead, I think he was really gorgeous!!!
Thank you for showing us this. I had never noticed this before!!!! Elvis was ❤such a wonderful person!!!! It is my humble opinion that Elvis is the Lead Angel 😇 in Heaven now!!!! I'll see you there one day, Sweet 🎂😽 Elvis!!!!! 👑 🎵 🎶 🎸 🎹❤
I always liked Elvis's hair length much better in the rehearsal concert. Later in the 2nd concert his hair in front was just hanging on his forehead with way too much hairspray, stiff and unnatural looking, the worst I've ever seen his hair look in a performance! His hair looked great when he recorded the insert songs that he recorded earlier right before his performances, like Blue Hawaii, The Hawaiian Wedding Song & Early Morning Rain etc. and this was before he cut it for the second show. I just never cared for the hair spray, stiff look especially when it gets messed up a little. I always admired Elvis's hair when it was longer and how it moved with Elvis's movements as he performed! Great Video, didn't know about the finger nails. Food for thought: The population of the planet in 1973 was 3.92 billion people and with Elvis's Concert being seen by 1.5 billion people that's literally approaching half the population of the planet at the time! Pretty Cool!
😂😂😂😂😂😂 you caught me off guard with the toenail joke...!!!!! 😆😆💯 I never noticed his nails.... I love watching him crinkle up his nose ( Lisa Marie did this also) I always thought the footage made him look short though, hahaa Maybe it was the wide bell bottoms
I've watched Aloha and the rehearsal hundreds and hundreds of times from the first time I saw it just a few months after he passed. I probably saw it 5-6 times on TV before wearing out my Blockbuster rental, then purchasing the VCR tape before buying the Deluxe set around 2002. I would have never caught the fingernail issue. The hair situation I've known for years. Ok. The setlist. As I'm sure you know, producer Marty Pasetta tells an intriguing story about how they produced the show about ten minutes light and Elvis told him, "No problem. Do this, this and that. Done." Right on time. Those were great editions to the show since the setlist had too many ballads. It would've been great to see Elvis do his regular 1972 setlist for a few reasons. #1 the selection of modern rock songs were some of his best concert songs - Proud Mary, Never Been to Spain, Polk Salad Annie. I also would like to have seen him do more of his 50's classics. I have always thought it strange that he said, "I'd like to do a medley of some of my records for you" and then he doesn't do a medley. He just sings Love Me. He usually followed that up with All Shook Up, Teddy Bear/Don't Be Cruel and Heartbreak Hotel as you know. Yes, he was sick of those songs at that point, but that's what people wanted to hear. That's what I would've wanted to hear. And that's what made his legend originally. I am glad that he added up tempo songs like Johnny B Goode (even though it's nothing close to his rocking 1969 versions) and what I have always thought was a killer medley of Long Tall Sally/Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On. It has much more groove to it than the later 50's medley with Long Tall Sally, Whole Lotta Shakin, Flip Flop & Fly, Mama Don't Dance, Jailhouse Rock and Hound Dog. The James Burton solo is great as usual and I love how Elvis sings Whole Lotta Shakin' with the growls included - "Shake Baby Shake-rrrrhhhh." Thanks for the awesome videos. You are doing a great job of honoring the greatest of all-time and protecting and keeping his legacy alive.
Great comment man. A lot of great points you made. It’s a good thing he did add some up-tempo numbers because the ballads were slowing it down. I like both shows for different reasons. The rehearsal is more relaxed, but the live show was on point! No messing up of lyrics.. Even looked more trim.
I would not have cared if he let out most of the 50s songs after the early seventies. Those versions later on are hardly worth it. Maybe he could have tried other 50s if he was tired of don t be cruel and hound dog.
Oh my David, I never knew this. You are always so on top with Elvis Presley information and again you've out done yourself. Keep up your great work, David ❤😊. Rose 🌹
Hi, David! I've just learned by now that Elvis watched himself rehearsing and took a look at these details, although I know his moto T.C.B. and its meaning. Since Steve Binder noticed in the Come Back Special - 1968 that Elvis looked better on raw way, I thought of his talent as a natural-born gift however he expressed it on stage...
Undoubtedly, the changes were positive, especially the expansion of the set list, the only thing that I really have been noted before. The show was improved and that's "quality control"!
Many rehearsals, watching reruns for imperfections, not all fun and games. Much work and many hours while maintaining his more than likable disposition. Something the fans didn’t see. Something to be appreciated
Patty Perry (also Parry) met elvis in L.A. in 1960. Soon after, she became a friend, trusted insider and honorary kid sister to Elvis. Patty is sometimes noted as the only female member of the memphis mafia Being a talented hair stylist, she could give Presley a trim whenever he was in L.A. or if his usual stylist (Larry Geller) wasn’t around. She also did Priscilla’s hair for awhile. For the “Aloha From Hawaii” TV special in ‘73, Patty was flown out to give Elvis a touch up prior to the broadcast-a haircut that was seen by more than 1 billion people in the first ever worldwide entertainment broadcast! Rehearsal footage shows the king looking a bit shaggier than the well coiffed guy seen on the live telecast two days later. “Patty look,” Elvis said when she arrived in Honolulu, “I’ve gotten really thin…I feel really good.”
I hope 🤞 that I’m not “kicking a bees 🐝 nest” but I read in Elvis’ autopsy report that he was receiving hormonal shots. Maybe his nails were affected or something else??😮
Wow I really didn't care that much attention when I was younger all I know is I was watching Elvis I love Elvis and that blew my mind about his fingernails I never noticed that but I didn't notice the hair I was wondering how come it was long and how did they do that now I know he did it thanks Dave and God bless
I've always wondered, why Elvis looks so short and "wide" in Aloha. It's like watching with the wrong aspect ratio. He looks more like himself when those extra songs were filmed without an audience. And 3:23 in this video.
this is becoming real interesting about his hair -- ii always liked him w-longer &/or messed up hair (i.e. Hampton Roads 1972) yet this is the first place here that i'm actually seeing more people say (1) they like the rehearsal & (2) they like his messier hair
I never noticed the nails! I knew that he cut his hair for the satellite performance and I eventually noticed the song list had been added too once I got the dvd set years ago. Aloha from Hawaii was his biggest performance yes but my favorite would be the That’s the way it is performances in Vegas. I love both though, heck I love all of Elvis. ❤😊
Elvis wanted everything to be just right and he paid attention to details. Thank you for all you do to help keep his memory alive. Elvis is still the King in 2024 !
I would not have noticed very little and I do have the rehearsal and the actual concert of Aloha From Hawaii concert love the concert. Vicki Macdonald from Melbourne Victoria Australia 🇦🇺
So glad he got a trim for the second filming...He looked absolutely beautiful...I think he was at the height of his beauty at this time. What a beautiful talented guy.
the Hawaii show was for me, the best vocal show. While the "On Tour" shows were more vivid, more alive. The That's the way it is more lyrical (best songs) and humour in it. Anyway, the King Always. A fan since my mom played his first record for me, in front of the speaker: he touched my soul, we connected.
I agree about the Elvis on tour , it’s more raw , There’s a great Elvis audio o. TH-cam from the Elvis on tour 45 mins long fascinating to hear Elvis unguarded answering questions about his career twas the only time he gave a long interview in the 70s
Really cool video! I never knew about his fingernails. Lol. Did you know he gave his belt from his costume, to actor Jack Lord , and Bill Belew had to scramble to make another one in time! He also added a different middle part to the song "Fever " that he didn't do during the live broadcast. And he had trouble with the words to "Burning Love"and said to the audience, "I forgot all of the words"😂 He was so cool and relaxed always! What a great show the rehearsal was itself! Thank goodness we have that on film as well!! Really nice video David!! 👍 Also, does anyone also think that Elvis looked tired in the rehearsal show? Maybe he was getting used to the time change being in Hawaii! I was exhausted going from Albuquerque to Los Angeles, then 5 hours to Hawaii back in '89 , so I know it probably affected him a little!!
I agree 👍 with you that Elvis looked really tired, and never really moved around much. Some people said that Elvis was told not to move around to much because they didn't want him to look hot and sweaty. My opinion is he had been on a 500cal a day diet for a few weeks leading up to Aloah, so was weak and tired. Apparently he lost 28lbs in a few weeks. Not good for the body.
I didn't even think about the weight loss factor! Your absolutely right! And even having to wear a suit that weighed about 30 lbs. According to Jerry Schilling, had to really get to Elvis! But no matter what, he always gave a great show and sang so wonderful! Elvis will always be my absolute favorite! No one comes close for me!😀👍⚡
I knew nothing about “changes” and now I am blown away….you did an excellent job on this comparison. I love Elvis and thought I knew a lot. You always teach me more. TCB ⚡️
I know a LOT about Elvis, because I'm OLD (will be 73 in August), and I have bought so many Elvis books and memorabilia. Also, 🎵🎸 I was blessed to see Elvis in concert once, in ,1976, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Love 💓 my Elvis!!!!! 😅❤🎉👑
Maria Romo -- differences are obvious -- maybe not the nails, but the longer hair definitely & looking tired for the rehearsal, but personally i liked the longer hair & thought the rehearsal was marvelous, as was the live; thx
I was present in Australia! 25 years old at the time, and with my first husband. We had one of the first colour TVs in our group of friends, so had a few fans at our place to watch it in colour. We were blown away!
I think the extreme diet and likely very little sleep from the anxiety of the upcoming show was the reason he looks tired. He was tired! I always thought his voice sounded weak in cc rider but I was always relieved that he was able to get those pipes in full gear for the songs that counted like trilogy, what now my love and others. Those were all performed with greatness only Elvis could deliver. Thanks for another great video!
But don't forget....... sadly to say this year was also the beginning of the end. Right after this concert the serious problems started 😢. So for the first time you can se in this concert that his lifestyle have left some marks. You can't live that way forever
I didn’t realize any of the three changes! The hair cut thing kind of surprised me that I didn’t notice! But there is just so much going on in both shows that it is difficult to find these changes! Great job David! Thank you for sharing your observations!
His hair for the official Aloha concert (not the rehearsal) was my absolute favorite in the seventies. Patty Parry did this hair for that concert, I wish she always did his hair. He also wore more jewelry.
I wish he performed more of his early hit such as Love Me Tender, Don't Be Cruel, Jailhouse Rock and All Shook Up as an add up songs. His late 60's or early 70's also a good choice like Rubnerneckin' or Let It Be Me
That show took a lot if his energy. He gave it all, even singing big French Gilbrrt Bécaud 's hit What now my love( Et maintenant). I thought he was going to collapse at the end. And sad, sad song I'm so lonesome I could die. Also, he was very overweight and sweating so profusely during a promo interview that the show's director Marty Pasetta told him straight " ..and Elvis, you must lose weight..." Is there any pressure greater than carrying the world on your shoulders 🤔🤔🤔
Ich war sechs Jahre alt, als es im TV gezeigt wurde. Es war überzeugend vom King. Ich habe es geliebt. Elvis ist der Beste und kein anderer. Wir vermissen ihn ❤😢😮❤
To me his hair looked good messed up or cleaned up ready to go. I loved Elvis no matter how he looked. He could be in sweats and he would have been as fine as in his jumpsuits.❤❤❤
It was only his rehearsal...he didn't need to come out all dressed up ...The main play would be for him to come out with all his whistles..Which he did....What a fantastic performance it truly was...Got to love this man ......
It might have been a "rehearsal", but the audience paid good money to see Elvis perform a great show. Personally, I think the "rehearsal" concert was better.
@@LT1HILLINGHOE Elvis would look great coming out on stage even if he was in pajamas n didn't comb his hair...Bet ppl would still have paid to see that...
I personally like Elvis with the messier hair. That’s one of the things I liked the most about the 1970 concert I love seeing his hair disheveled. I really love seeing his hair when just naturally getting messy. To me it’s one of the things that show how involved and how much he puts into a show also when he’s moving around it’s really beautiful to see his hair moving around and getting messier
Lololol…. So now I know that I am not the only one that dissected Elvis. I look for everything , from scratches on his hands to bruises, to alternate hair styles, eyebrows, anything in his nose, to band members and audience reactions. These are the things that we look for when we are obsessed with a human hero….my wife and kids think I’m nuts…😂😂This was a fantabulous video King Warrior David!! 👌👌👌💯
frankie, did you notice Elvis' sideburns were different from one another in the main show? It's true. His right one has a different shape to it compared to his left one.
I knew he added more songs as they needed a 60 minute concert. The finger nails is very observant on your part, I never would have caught that. As for the haircut, personally I liked his hairstyle he was sporting at the Madison Square Garden interview and concert. I really think that was his best look. Of the two aloha concerts I liked his hairstyle in the rehearsal show better then the "live show", It just looked more natural. I under stand the need to "pretty him up" as he was going on, as he says world wide television and his hair did look awesome, and held up well, that is until that chick ran her fingers through his hair messing it up (which you can tell pissed him off judging by his reaction). Anyway I just like the more natural look of the rehearsal show. . Great video as usual, thank you!
The jumpsuit that Elvis wore on January 14 was different from the one on January 12 (more stars) and JACK LORD (Hawaii five o) WAS present during the show on January 14, 1973.
Hi David ♥ Great observations. I've never noticed these before. Can I just say I'm a KAREN and I'm not a moaner or complainer at all. Now I sound like a complainer 😂 😂 😂 Thank you David xxx 💝
He also appeared more tired looking @ rehearsal. The following piece of info isn't related to this video but something i thought interesting re: his appearance on Sept. 9, 1956; the info is that for Elvis' first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show on Sunday night at 8 p.m. on September 9. 1956. Ed Sullivan himself was not able to host since he had recently been in a very serious car accident that left him in the hospital. In his place, Oscar-winning actor Charles Laughton hosted the show. Elvis was also not on location in New York for the show since he was in Los Angeles for the filming of Love Me Tender. Laughton hosted from New York and then when it came time for Elvis' appearance, Laughton introduced him and then cut to the stage in Hollywood with Elvis. There is also a photo of Sullivan in hospital bed.
I knew of the hair and the song list, never noticed the finger nails before and omg now I will always notice them ha. I recall an interview by Marty Passetta where he claims he came to Elvis in a rush just before the show saying they were something like 10 minutes short and Elvis unfazed said ok well lets do this and this and boom sorted. Now I wonder was that noticed before the rehearsal or the main concert? or has Marty Passetta embellished his story down the years as so many around Elvis did. Another interesting topic to bring up thanks.
Other changes were made like hands/mic position while he was standing facing backup singers during An American Trilogy (after he says "sing it, fellows") Also I think he probably told Charlie Hodge not to make the noise he made at about 1.:37 of the same song during the rehearsal concert, as it seemed to startle Elvis and he lost his balance a little and Charlie made no such noise in the next show.
I always thought those songs showed his competitive nature. He did signature songs from his main rivals (Chuck, Jerry Lee, Little Richard, plus Beatles and Sinatra, even Hank) to show he could beat them at their own game
Hilarious stuff - Now - consider if those 3 songs were Kentucky Rain - if I can Dream and In the Ghetto - to give new fans a taste of his own greatest hits vs others!
I think James Burton said the guitar instrumental for Ghetto was very difficult, so they dropped it form live performances pretty quickly. Keep in mind a studio musician is a difficult realm of talent than road musicians.
I like Steamroller Blues, and 'You gave me a Mountain better in the rehearsal show.. Parts of 'What Now My Love,, and American Trilogy edge out the performances too in rehearsal. However his mood, emotional affect, Hair, and approach is better on the 14th.
Knew about the haircut but the other 2 passed me by. On thing a viewer commented on some time ago and again something I never really concentred on, was the slight stumble in American Trilogy where he pulls his arm back - I wish the guy had not commented because I now wait for it 😊😊
He also changed the scarves! During the rehearsal the scarves were paler pastel colours and during the live telecast they were more vivid stronger colours
My three guesses before finishing this video: 1. His hair 2. The way that the audience was lit 3. I've heard that an extra song had to be added in order to fill the time allotted for the satellite feed, so I'm guessing that.
I love that Elvis called Christ ✝️ the King. On tape. One can find it on TH-cam. I give ALL the glory to the Lord Jesus Christ Who is God and His Holy Ghost 🙌🏿 ✝️ 🧎🏾
The thing which is amazing with the Aloha show is which songs he didn`t do. He did not do huge hits like "Love me tender" "All shook up" "Teddy bear-don`t be cruel" "Are you lonesome tonight" "Its now or never" which would have been great for this concert.. Instead he did a different set with more lesser known songs, and a bunch of covers. "Johnny B. Goode" is a Chuck Berry song that Elvis never had a hit with. "Long tall Sally" was a Little Richard song, and "Whole lotta shaking going on" was Jerry Lee Lewis. I dont know why he did this, but he was probably bored out of his mind with his own regular hit set. Since he was playing for an international audience he could have added more international no.1 hits like "A fool such as i" "Good luck charm" "Return to sender" and "The wonder of you" "The wonder of you" sold a million copies in the UK alone and was a UK no.1 hit for weeks and weeks in 1970. It was much bigger than "Suspicious minds" and "Don`t cry daddy" but he did NOT play it in Hawaii. I think it was a missed opportunity. I never really liked his set list for Hawaii. It was kind of boring. I think he played too many slow songs. I think the show would have been a even bigger success had he added more of his own hits to the setlist. The album got to no.1 in the U.S., but it did not get to no.1 in the UK:
I'm glad he didn't do "Love me tender" "All shook up" "Teddy bear-don`t be cruel" because he had already done those for the Madison Square Garden album about 7 months earlier.
I learn something every time I listen to one of your posts ! Also I have learnt that you have a good pair of eagle eyes !! I would never have noticed these changes so thankyou for pointing them out to us 😘xx
Elvis also changed the arrangement of a few songs. For example he sang 4 verses in Fever on the live show with no bridge. During the rehearsal show he sang 3 verses and a bridge.
This is really cool!!! THANK YOU for sharing!!! I don't know that I would have noticed a COMPARISON between the rehearsal & the actual...it's very interesting to see how HE decides builds changes things!!☺☺☺☺☺☺
Awesome Video Elvis Is The Man 🎉 I never knew those things about the Elvis Aloha From Hawaii Special 😲 I have seen the Rehearsal show but I never noticed his long finger nails until you pointed it out yep everybody sometimes lets there nails get long when their really busy doing stuff you forget to get stuff like that done until it’s necessary. I like his messy hair in the rehearsal it looks really cute and fun seeing him a bit more messy at the rehearsal show 😊🕺🏻 Elvis Still Looks fabulous in the Rehearsal show!!! Have a great day my Friend 😃
I was just listening to the other post you made about the Cinn show, 1971. What a playlist that night was. Wish that was recorded in stereo. I know a lot of people think Aloha was his greatest show but Elvis moved only once during that entire show. It was an outstanding vocal performance and great 4 album set back then in Quad sound. He had no fun and just didn't seem like himself, in either Aloha show. I read somewhere he was afraid of the power going out. Thanks for this video. It was cool to learn :)
I noticed the Nails at the same footage like you 😊 . I like both hair Cuts. Natural Look is at the Rehearsel Show. Steamroller i like more at the 12 January Show. Both Shows and the Insert Songs are great . The 5 Insert Songs always brings the memory of me as a kid hat an Cassette from Europa Label , Album Name was Elvis in Hawaii . It was in fast the Mahalo from Elvis Album Songs on it .
Elvis had perfect hair in the live global show. He hair cut was done perfectly by whoever cut it. I had not noticed the fingernail thing until this video. The haircut made his face look leaner to go with his trim frame. Long live the king
Pat perry cut it
@@thomasandersen2938 Yet she messed up one of his sideburns. His left one was shaped differently from the right one in the main show.

I agree he looked great in both but I loved the changes! Thank you!
They are two different men doing this concert so there are going to be differences between them with hair cuts and other things.

"It's over" i played many times from this concert.
He was a perfectionist and took care of every detail❤️❤️🇮🇹
Never notice the nails, love the messy hair look. Love everything.
No wonder I’m an Elvis fan. This very concert was shown on my birth date, Sunday, January 14, 1973
That was my Mom’s birthday too
Jus't can't pass a day without earing an Elvis song! Is voice put my troubles away
So glad we can watch it over and over. That Aloha show was a spectacular achievement.
Beautiful and talented Elvis 👑
Elvis always looked great. Thank you for sharing this

Watch him in the rehearsal as he sings American Trilogy and at one point (near the end), he looks back and has hair on his forehead,

I agree, the longer hair hid his masculine brow more and gave him a younger appearance.
American Trilogy from Aloha was his greatest live performance of all time.
Agreed!
My favorite was 68 if can dream
Yup & 68 If I Can Dream.

Nice Post.
Patty can be seen sitting near Elvis during the live sit-down segments of the 68 Special.
100% accurate and an important person in Elvis’s life that we seldom hear about. She passed in 2011.
I hope 🤞 that I’m not “kicking a bees 🐝 nest” but I read in Elvis’ autopsy report that he was receiving hormonal shots. Maybe his nails were affected or something else??😮
@@camrai7444 Elvis was getting steroids,. I don’t think hormones,. I never heard that!
Larry was always there and I’ve never heard of this woman, as for being a little sister lol , you are kidding yourself
Wow I really didn't care that much attention when I was younger all I know is I was watching Elvis I love Elvis and that blew my mind about his fingernails I never noticed that but I didn't notice the hair I was wondering how come it was long and how did they do that now I know he did it thanks Dave and God bless
Ty for always sharing ELVIS with us aloha was an amazing concert😁🇨🇦🇨🇦
GREAT INFO, YOU ALWAYS TELL US THINGS WE COULD NEVER KNOW ON OUR OWN! Bravo...
Sure miss him!! The biggest audience in the history of mankind.
I've always wondered, why Elvis looks so short and "wide" in Aloha. It's like watching with the wrong aspect ratio. He looks more like himself when those extra songs were filmed without an audience. And 3:23 in this video.
I liked his hair messier!! ♥️♥️♥️
Me too!! I think it makes him look younger.
Funny how we are all different yet we all love the same Man❤❤❤❤
@@Patracat true, you're right!
this is becoming real interesting about his hair -- ii always liked him w-longer &/or messed up hair (i.e. Hampton Roads 1972) yet this is the first place here that i'm actually seeing more people say (1) they like the rehearsal & (2) they like his messier hair
The best Elvis Show ever, watched it from Germany 🇩🇪 and loved it. 😊
Gracias por compartir, muy interesante. ELVIS PRESLEY ❤
Thank you my Brother you are a encyclopedia Amazing Stuff 👏
Elvis wanted everything to be just right and he paid attention to details. Thank you for all you do to help keep his memory alive. Elvis is still the King in 2024 !
God bless.
I noticed the hair but wasn't sure til you said it. I never saw the rehearsal footage all the way. I'll have to do that
Thank you for sharing! He looked fabulous in this Aloha in Hawaii. ❤
That move he makes with his lip!!!!!
" A fan since my mom played his first record for me"
That caught my eye as my mom played my first ever Elvis song, a 45, for me also, in the late 60s!
I agree about the Elvis on tour , it’s more raw , There’s a great Elvis audio o. TH-cam from the Elvis on tour 45 mins long fascinating to hear Elvis unguarded answering questions about his career twas the only time he gave a long interview in the 70s
So sweet
Très jolie et intéressante vidéo ! Bien vu ❤
No one comes close for me!😀👍⚡
@@thecoolcreativebuildchanne2613 I agree, no one even comes close xxx 💝
Not surprised he gave his belt to Jack Lord, he liked 'Hawaii Five-O' :)
@@rebelvgan4579 Yeah, I thought that was really nice. He went to dinner at Jack's house in Honolulu!
I knew nothing about “changes” and now I am blown away….you did an excellent job on this comparison. I love Elvis and thought I knew a lot. You always teach me more. TCB ⚡️
Wow I’m glad u liked it so much 👌🏻
I know a LOT about Elvis, because I'm OLD (will be 73 in August), and I have bought so many Elvis books and memorabilia.
@@carolhayar3037 💯 agree with you. 🤙🏼
@@sheilaseeber2007 you are so so lucky and so happy for you. ⚡️❤️⚡️
Excellent video as always my friend thank you for posting TCB
Thank YOU
I was present for the show Aloha from Hawaï in Switzerland
@@jimmykarlsson2567 you are correct
Actually,. CC Rider was mainly a warm up song,. To check everything out! U know
@@jimcowan8770 yes that is probably correct also, 1st song of the lineup.
CC Rider was fantastic in this concert as were each and every one of his songs . He makes no mistakes in my eyes! A true gift from God!!
I didn’t realize any of the three changes! The hair cut thing kind of surprised me that I didn’t notice! But there is just so much going on in both shows that it is difficult to find these changes! Great job David! Thank you for sharing your observations!
Yeah it’s pretty interesting
Great video! Love hearing these types of things.
From what I’ve heard, the Cornell didn’t want the stage lowered and the part going out to the crowd. Amazing show!
So glad he added I Can't Stop Loving You!!! He nailed it!!
Well done.👍👍
Haha thanks man. It’s all true.
😂😂
So true...what else to do!
Love Elvis... Can't say enough about the man....But looking up his nose is where I draw the line...Your family is correct...Yep your weird.. LOL 😅
@@gailcalderone5229 Lololl some of us Italians are ( but in a good way)😂😂
frankie, did you notice Elvis' sideburns were different from one another in the main show?
I have never seen the rehearsal, only heard the Audio, I had no idea that he looked so different. He made smart improvements, he looked much better
Yeah he made some necessary improvements. You gotta check out the rehearsal show!
@@ElvisistheMan_ I will
The flutist screeched the solo in American Trilogy in this rehearsal too. Perfect in the actual broadcast though!
The jumpsuit that Elvis wore on January 14 was different from the one on January 12 (more stars) and JACK LORD (Hawaii five o) WAS present during the show on January 14, 1973.
Very good David
I didn’t know anything about this. You have good eyes
🏎🏁
I never noticed before either Dave 🏎️ ♥
David notices everything for us xxx 💝 🤗
Hi David ♥
Great observations. I've never noticed these before.
Can I just say I'm a KAREN and I'm not a moaner or complainer at all.
Now I sound like a complainer 😂 😂 😂
Thank you David xxx 💝
I always learn something new about Elvis from your videos and really enjoy them. I was just wondering how you got to be such an expert on Elvis?
Elviis Presley eres maravilloso único en el universo
The only thing I didn't know was about the fingernails wow! Thanks for sharing this ❤
I knew of the hair and the song list, never noticed the finger nails before and omg now I will always notice them ha.
I've heard people say that 2.75 billion people watched the main concert on television!!!
Huh? Yeah, it was either Charlie's fault or Donald Trump's fault.
I always thought those songs showed his competitive nature. He did signature songs from his main rivals (Chuck, Jerry Lee, Little Richard, plus Beatles and Sinatra, even Hank) to show he could beat them at their own game
So handsome!
Hilarious stuff -
Now - consider if those 3 songs were Kentucky Rain - if I can Dream and In the Ghetto - to give new fans a taste of his own greatest hits vs others!
I think James Burton said the guitar instrumental for Ghetto was very difficult, so they dropped it form live performances pretty quickly. Keep in mind a studio musician is a difficult realm of talent than road musicians.
Great video! I knew 2 out of 3…. Never realized he trimmed his fingernails, but it was a good call! I’m an “Aloha fanatic” 😎
On thing a viewer commented on some time ago and again something I never really concentred on, was the slight stumble in American Trilogy where he pulls his arm back - I wish the guy had not commented because I now wait for it 😊😊
yes, the movement was so strong that it looked like he could have taken a fall
I knew about the haircut as it was fairly noticeable. I didn’t know about his fingernails! What a great eye you have! I would have never noticed that!
A king from another universe.
He also changed the scarves! During the rehearsal the scarves were paler pastel colours and during the live telecast they were more vivid stronger colours
My three guesses before finishing this video:
1. His hair
2. The way that the audience was lit
3. I've heard that an extra song had to be added in order to fill the time allotted for the satellite feed, so I'm
guessing that.
Elvis Presley look awesome in those 2 concerts he did he cut his nails.
Awesome Video Elvis Is The Man 🎉 I never knew those things about the Elvis Aloha From Hawaii Special 😲
I have seen the Rehearsal show but I never noticed his long finger nails until you pointed it out yep everybody sometimes lets there nails get long when their really busy doing stuff you forget to get stuff like that done until it’s necessary. I like his messy hair in the rehearsal it looks really cute and fun seeing him a bit more messy at the rehearsal show 😊🕺🏻
Elvis Still Looks fabulous in the Rehearsal show!!!
Have a great day my Friend 😃
YOU STILL DON'T CAUSE YOU CAN'T TELL IT ONE WAY OR THE OTHER PEOPLE .....
I never noticed.. but Elvis still looked handsome either way!!! 🥰🥰
Yes. I’ve read about the hair. He did call in a stylist. His side burns were dyed brown. His hair has brown highlights. And it was trimmed.
He had long finger nails because he had the itch for a huge performance! And he nailed it!!! No pun intended! 👍🏽
😅
Wow, interesting stuff man.
As usual..another great, informative post..love all things ELVIS 🎤🔥🎼❤TCB❤⚡
I noticed the Nails at the same footage like you 😊 . I like both hair Cuts. Natural Look is at the Rehearsel Show. Steamroller i like more at the 12 January Show.
