"Snuff Out The Light" is such an amazing villain song and Eartha Kitt's performance of it is incredible. I wish they had just retooled it to fit the new narrative instead of cutting it entirely.
If I Never Knew You should have been kept in Pocahontas. It makes the movie more emotional in that scene when John is in the hut, but also the deleted extended end when the song is reprised when he leaves
IKR? If anything, I truly believe if the song stayed more people wouldn’t be so tough on Pocahontas as a movie nowadays. Its brings so much depth to John’s character development and just how much he changed for the better because of how much he loves Pocahontas. You can’t tell me she ended up choosing Rolfe after listening to this song.
I grew up with the cassette of beauty and the beast with Human again in the movie. I was shocked and sad when it wasn’t in other releases. It added so much to the story, and it feels awkward without it.
Hey!!! Same, I didn't even knew "human again" was a deleted song... Well now I know! Also yea it must feel weird not seeing it in the blu ray ones, it must feel like somethings missing :'0
I absolutely have to bring up "When Love is Gone" from Muppets Christmas Carol! A beautiful song which explains a significant plot point, and should have never been cut in most versions
Someday is such a painful and beautiful song, it genuinely makes me cry every time, and Ciara Renee (Esmeralda in the official cast recording for the stage show) has an absolutely stunning voice!
It was indeed beautiful but I belive without the music ,that scene felt more real life and scary abd heartbreaking .if they added that song I think it would have make the execution of John less focused and it would have brightened the mood At least that is why I think Hope my english made sense since it is not my first language
@@Owillowwallydude. Its a song, time logic doesn’t apply whenever a song comes. If anything, I feel it shows them in the eye of the storm, an inner peace between them in the midst of all the hatred and anger surrounding them, they refuse to stop loving each other. This song should’ve been in the movie
A reprise of "If I Never Knew You" was also animated and added to the "Farewell" scene at the end of the movie for the 10th anniversary edition. Didn't have to add it but I'm glad they did.
“Someday” is a great deleted and end credits song, so great that when they adapted it to Spanish speaking people and was performed by famous singer Luis Miguel, it became a sensational hit in Latin America. My high school sung that song in my final year of high school, and I still listen to this song every now and then, either in English or the Spanish version
Almost all Disney Princess films have their love songs. I am not satisfied that they cut If I Never Knew You, making Pocahontas the only Disney Princess that does not have love song (Well. A Man Worth Fighting For is technically a love song for Mulan.)😢
Even though it sucks that these Disney songs never saw the light of day in the films that they supposed to be in, I could be worse because they could've never been made at all. "Proud Of Your Boy" is one of my all time favorites!!!
"Human again" and "Proud of your boy" were classics from my childhood, and my favorites from this top as well. Happy friday morning Ms Mojo, take care and God bless you, greetings from Colombia to you as well.
I grew up with the Pocahontas 10th anniversary DVD. You can imagine how upset I was when I discovered that “if I never knew you” wasn’t in other releases/ Disney +. I literally can’t watch the movie without that song in it 😅
If I Never Knew You and Human Again both deserve to be actually in the movie because they are amazing songs ❤️❤️❤️ lucky enough I happen to have the the special edition DVDs which there both in so I can listen to them there 😊😊
If I Never Knew You and Proud of Your Boy were used for Disneymania since they were cut except for Pocahontas 10th Anniversary rerelease and Aladdin on Broadway
Never smile at a crocodile reminds me of childhood. I had the VHS of Disney Sing-along, and that had that song on it. I seen the movie Peter Pan afterwards and was waiting for the song to show up but it never did. I was so confused as a kid 😂
Jon Secada and Shanice sung "If I Never Knew You" (Pocahontas) during the credits. Same thing with "Someday" (Hunchback of Notre Dame). All 4 One sung that song I loved both those versions even if they didn't make it into the original run of the movie. I still listeb to both songs.
I was very disappointed when “Human Again” wasn’t included as the bonus material on Disney+ so whenever I watch “Beauty and the Beast,” one of my all time favorite films, I ALWAYS have to pause the film just to watch the deleted song on TH-cam or I just simply watch it on Blu-Ray that has the scene integrated in. I’ll never forget when I saw the 10th anniversary edition of Beauty and the Beast that had “Human Again” included. They even did a theatrical rerelease for it, and in my hometown, they even did an IMAX rerelease and it was the very first film to play at the newly opened IMAX theater for Colorado Springs only a 5 minute drive away from my house. Colorado Springs didn’t have an IMAX theater until 2001 and the Beauty and the Beast 10th anniversary extended edition was the very first film to be released into IMAX format
oh some songs were interesting to know here: Proud of your boy, The Silence is gold, Music in you sop, Get this right, She never felt alone from Aristocats, should have been here too My Home (from Frozen II too).. I was surprised to know that they reused the melody from "Life is too short" for "Making one perfect day", the same with "Warthog's rhapsody" they reused its melody for "That's all I need" in The Lion King 1 1/2, and really Mushu always deserved a song in Mulan
*Proud of You Boy* is so Beautiful from *Aladdin and the King of Thieves* movie. It's Super Heartwarming and Touching of seeing Aladdin being Reunited with his father. 😊😊
I kinda wondered why "Proud of Your Boy" was in the Aladdin musical. I assumed he was just singing to his dead parents or something, I had no idea that song was supposed to be in the movie and his mom was supposed to.... exist. Crazy how much these stories can change from what was originally planned😅
For the record, there WAS a recording of 'Never Smile at a Crocodile' performed by Hans Conreid (Captain Hook). It was on a Disney audio cassette collection I had when I was really little.
I had no idea "Someday" was from Hunchback. It was the finale song in the fireworks show "HarmonioUS" at EPCOT and I cried every time I watched it; it's a beautiful song.
Like Mary Poppins, Bedknobs & Broomsticks also has a deleted song that has survived through audio releases- "A Step In The Right Direction". Mary Poppins also had a few songs that were cut from the film but later reused in other media: Land of Sand (rewritten as "Trust In Me" in The Jungle Book), The Beautiful Briny (reused in Bedknobs & Broomsticks) (both were going to be part of a song called Compass Sequence before it was replaced with "Jolly Holiday"), The Right Side (reused in Welcome to Pooh Corner), and West Wind (retitled as "Mon Amour Perdu" for the movie Big Red).
#3 (If I Never Knew You): Yeah, just forget to mention the song does play in the end credits and appears on the film's soundtrack, performed by Jon Secada and Shanice.
I have ptsd from “Proud of your boy” This guy in middle school was the only one who tried out for Aladdin and got it (He did it for a bet), and he sung it terribly. I still look back on that show with a whole lot of cringe. (I was the Genie and had to hug him for a scene, so that was pretty bad too)
If I never knew you was supposed to be my friend’s wedding song. She was dating a person of the different race and her family didn’t like that, and I don’t think his family likes the fact that she was on a different race than him. They ultimately broke up and they never did get married, but they were engaged and that was the song they were going to choose and use.
My school this year did Aladdin Junior as their production, one of my closest friends was Jasmine and so during lunch and recess, my Aladdin Junior friends were belting out the lyrics to 'Proud of your boy'. I'm so glad that I could see it be performed in the musical version of the movie at least :)
Honestly ‘Get This Right’ sounds so fun, though I understand why they wanted to remove it. Also, there’s “We Know Better”, which shows more of Anna and Elsa as kids and more of their bond as kids. Also, Eartha Kit’s Singing Voice is amazing.
The VHS of Beauty and the Beast I grew up with had human again in it. I never knew it was deleted from the movie until I watched a different version at a friends house.
Just like with "Someday", there was a pop version of "If I Never Knew You" sung by Jon Secada that did make it into the end credits / official soundtrack of Pocahontas
IKR? Its really sad how many flack Pocahontas gets nowadays, and I truly believe if this song stayed more people wouldn’t be so hard on it. It just made it more obvious and so beautiful as to why Pocahontas and John fell in love and how empty and alone they’d be if they never met
Why Me seems like Jafar's ANTHEM. I like what Proud of Your Boy brings to the table, but Aladdin's little balad after he leave the gates will always be perfect for me. 🎶 they'd find out there's so much more to meeeeeee 🎶
If I Never Knew You should’ve been number 1 and left in the movie. Like people hate the characters together, but it shows their relationship with depth. Plus it is beautiful. I’ve cried several times to the song, and it’s probably in my top 10 favorite Disney songs.
IKR? I find Pocahontas and John Smith underrated as a couple just because “historical accuracy” which is bs, considering Esmerelda and Phoebus definitely aren’t lovers in their novel. Anyway, I believe if the song had stayed, more people would’ve realized and understood just how much John changed because of his love for Pocahontas and how sad he’d be if he never met her!
While there are a few songs I think could have been on this list, there is one song in particular that I feel should have been on this list. Another deleted song from "Cinderella" called, "The Dress That My Mother Wore." If you have never heard the song before, I highly recommend looking it up and giving it a listen. Though, you may want to consider having a tissue near by; it might lead to some tears. 😢😢😢
It’s criminal that “If I Never Knew You” was cut from Pocahontas. It adds a much needed intimacy layer to their relationship, and shows that they both felt the same way about each other. It surprised me how much it sounded like “For Good” from Wicked!
I mean, Pocahontas and John already had some serious chemistry without it lol, but this song plays a huge role in the movie. Did you know it’s actually an instrumental several times, most notably their first encounter, when she saved his life, the ending, and especially their first kiss?? I find it so sweet and it’s really disappointing there was this subtle buildup for this song that got cut in the end. The worst part is the sequence had been 90% animated already and was fully intended to be in the movie. Did you know the lyrics actually were inspired from Alan Menken’s feelings for his wife? It just adds an extra layer almost no other love song has aside You’ll Be in My Heart from Tarzan
I really wonder what it would have been like if The Emperor's New Groove was was originally released as Empire of the Sun? I bet it would have been just as good.
"If I Never Knew You" made it to the credits, and on the Latin American VHS there was even a videoclip of the duet between Jon Secada and Shanice Wilson in Spanish
I was in a play of "Aladdin" in high school and I played Jafar. "Why Me?" was one of the songs in our show and I thought it was so cool that I got to sing an extra song
" proud of You're Boy" really well for the movie Aladdin, I am surprised that they didn't to the movie, shocking, it fits sooo well and it adds to the story
I was 1 of those fans as a kid that begged🥺 for Disney soundtracks and the compilations so i knew about most of these but the 1 that always gets me😭 is Someday from Hunchback. If they keep making live action remakes they'd better make room for Someday because we really need to take a step back and hear this 1. It's just vague enough that anyone struggling with something can feel it. There's not enough songs with empathy and kindness like this 1 these days.
I swear to gosh as a child, A song in your soup was in my version of the film, or maybe it was included because I remember it well, and it was one of my favourites from the film 😅
As much as I adore the Yzma we were given, I so wished they would've went wirh the original direction of her, let alone kept Snuff Out the Light song. That song goes H A R D
I actually grew up with the dvd of beauty and the beast with human again as part of the movie so when we found out it wasn't part of "normal films" we were freaked out lol
I only knew about a few of these before watching; thanks for giving me some unknown classics to look up! Also, I didn't know "Someday" was from Hunchback! :D
Recently discovered ‘More (Reprise)’ from Moana - about how her grandmother wanted to explore the sea but never got the chance to before she died, and how she’d want Moana to go on her journey 🥺
these songs make my happy and sad enough to make me cry tears of joy as much as the versions we got at the end credits make me sad and cry tears of joy
#13 I am HORRENDOUSLY familiar with bcuz I was in an after-school dance acadamy (? Best term I can think of to call it) when I was young, and one of the classes for the youngest age group did a tap dance to that during the year-end showcase. So whenever they'd practice, we could hear the song in the hallway as we waited for our class' turn to use one of the dance rooms.
@@LucyAdroit tbh, the kids were so young (around 6) that they didn't really do much during the routine. 😅 Just kinda lean on one side and let the other leg swing back and forth as it made a clacking sound as the tap shoe hit the floor. I do remember when they all came out during the showcase to perform dressed as little "crocodiles" and the whole audience just giggled and went "awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! 🥺" bcuz of how cute they looked.
Honestly, in my opinion, if How Much You Mean To Me/Court Me Slowly was in The Aristocats, that would've been my favorite song in the movie. But instead, currently, that title was taken by Thomas O'Malley.
When I saw Beauty and the Beast, it was the updated version with "Human Again", so I never even realized it was cut until the live action version came out. Also, while watching that musical number, my brother wondered if The Beast had any actual furniture in his caste if seemingly all of it was his servants under the effects of the spell.
Gosh, I sure wished "Music In Your Soup" had made the final cut! DX And "She Never Felt Alone" with Duchess' Original VA? Oh! So beautiful! iwi "Silence is Golden" isn't too bad, either! :3
Actually, Proud Of Your Boy (and Aladdin's mother) was going to be cut almost immediately. But, knowing how important it was for Ashman, and the crew aware of his coming death. They simply waited for after his passing to delete the song and the character.
My favorite one was called “Call Me a Princess” which was a song meant for princess Jasmine, I couldn’t remember whether she was acting or actually being bratty in order to scare princes that she is forced to married
I really wish proud of your boy was in Aladdin love that song but really happy they put it in the musical and also why me by jafar and also the madness of king scar which made it in the musical ❤
What about the song, "Gonna Get My Wish Tonight" from The Little Mermaid 2 Return to the Sea? Morgana was a great singer. Also, "Silence is Golden" was redone as a song for the eels in the Broadway version of The Little Mermaid.
wish elvira had been included alongside greed literally possessing edgar as that would've given him more depth. love "humiliate that boy" more just showing how crazy with power to a sadistic degree jafar went but "why me" is good too. get this right(which would've shown anna's relationship with kristoff better than how weirdly 2 handled it making the chemistry weak as the 2 having a duet accepting each other would be cute.)/life's too short(that would've made elsa as the antagonist work as it should've been that giving their bond drama to stand up against.)should've been kept as it better handles the relationships. remember loving never smile at a crocodile on sing along songs. kinda would love an animation of kaa singing "i'm odd". could see floating on a cloud for the scrapped part of the ending where cinderella meets the prince before the wedding. do agree it wouldn't fit mufasa but also think it would've shown the balance the animals had better which people get confused about. would be nice seeing keep em guessing animated. if emperor's new groove gets into kingdom hearts would absolutely love "snuff out the light" being used for yzma controlling heartless to awaken an ancient deity. really wish aladdin's mother had been kept as i loved "proud of your boy"/enjoyed her scenes that i would've loved to have seen her interactions with jasmine, genie and seeing her husband in king of thieves.(maybe hiding it from al to protect him.).

The 100th Centennial Celebration, ‘Once Upon A Studio’ Is ALMOST UPON Us!!
That looks exciting
What a Waste of
Can't believe we didn't notice these Brilliant Deleted Scenes from the Best Disney Movies Throughout the Years!
Shooting Star from Hercules, replaced by Going the Distance, and You Can Count on Me from Aladdin
"Snuff Out The Light" is such an amazing villain song and Eartha Kitt's performance of it is incredible. I wish they had just retooled it to fit the new narrative instead of cutting it entirely.
Ikr, I love this song…. So sad it was cut. You should hear the Jonathan young version of this song. It’s incredible
I love that song too. Do agree they could tried to edit it a bit for the Emperors new groove.
i vote for isma's song in kronk's new groove who agress?
If I Never Knew You should have been kept in Pocahontas. It makes the movie more emotional in that scene when John is in the hut, but also the deleted extended end when the song is reprised when he leaves
Fortunately, for the 10th anniversary DVD, the song was completed and put back into the movie proper.
I know right?
It was cut from the original because it was a way to adult scene for kids, and the test audience loved it a little too much
It's definitely my favourite from the film and I'm sure as a child I would have still loved as much as I do now
IKR? If anything, I truly believe if the song stayed more people wouldn’t be so tough on Pocahontas as a movie nowadays. it's so heartbreaking and beautiful.

Proud of Your Boy is a really good song. Even though I didn’t like the Aladdin remake, I did like the song cut from the movie: Desert Moon
I’m still keeping my fingers crossed that Disney will find a way to reinstate it.
@@darthkurlandit’s in the stage version
Both Proud of your Boy and Dessert Moon should have been the live action, no questions
I wish it was put into the live action film too.

For the record, there WAS a recording of 'Never Smile at a Crocodile' performed by Hans Conreid (Captain Hook). It was on a Disney audio cassette collection I had when I was really little.
My Gramma had a lp vinyl with a version of “Never Smile at a Crocodile” and she taught to us. ❤
Poor Unfortunate Souls is better than Silence is Golden, but neither hold a candle to Daddy's Little Angel. It's the superior Ursula song.
I love proud of your boy. Thank goodness it is in the play. You can see where it was cut in the film

I was in a play of "Aladdin" in high school and I played Jafar. "Why Me?" was one of the songs in our show and I thought it was so cool that I got to sing an extra song
The 100th Centennial Celebration, ‘Once Upon A Studio’ Is ALMOST UPON Us!!
if i never knew you romantic cut won't say im in love or so this love no there iconic in their own way
" proud of You're Boy" really well for the movie Aladdin, I am surprised that they didn't to the movie, shocking, it fits sooo well and it adds to the story
Im so glad Proud of your boy was in this list and not to mention it eas #1 too!!!
I’m still hoping that Disney finds a way to reinstate “Proud of Your Boy” into the feature film of “Aladdin.”
I remember watching Dave Benson Philips sing “Never Smile at a Crocodile” when he was on the UK version of Playhouse Disney - now Disney Junior.
"As Long As There's A Moon", cut from Hunchback, is another good one.
I think that Proud of your boy was the best forgotten Disney song and I think The morning report should be an honorary mention.
I swear to gosh as a child, A song in your soup was in my version of the film, or maybe it was included because I remember it well, and it was one of my favourites from the film 😅
I love them SO much!
How is there not "Home" from Frozen 2 on the list? It's the best song ever
Proud of Your Boy is one of the greatest Disney Songs every period
Great video on some of the best deleted songs from some of my favorite childhood Disney movies that I’ve grown up with 👍❤️
I only knew about a few of these before watching; thanks for giving me some unknown classics to look up!
Also, I didn't know "Someday" was from Hunchback! :D
Funnily enough, "Proud Of Your Boy" is where the proud boys got their name!
I wish they kept Keep them guessing.
Oooh, talent
@@LucyAdroit tbh, the kids were so young (around 6) that they didn't really do much during the routine. 😅 Just kinda lean on one side and let the other leg swing back and forth as it made a clacking sound as the tap shoe hit the floor. I do remember when they all came out during the showcase to perform dressed as little "crocodiles" and the whole audience just giggled and went "awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! 🥺" bcuz of how cute they looked.
i love alot of these but the best is isma's song in kronk's new groove who agress?
DX
And "She Never Felt Alone" with Duchess' Original VA? Oh! So beautiful! iwi
"Silence is Golden" isn't too bad, either!
How about “Are You a Man or a Mouse” from Dumbo? It really gives the spotlight to Timothy Mouse.
Kind of upset you didn't use any sound bytes of Clay Aitken singing Proud of Your Boy, because his rendition of it is BEAUTIFUL.
I really wish proud of your boy was in Aladdin love that song but really happy they put it in the musical and also why me by jafar and also the madness of king scar which made it in the musical ❤
Numbers 19, 16, 13, 10, 9, 7, 6, 4, 3, 2, and 1. Those are my favorites
What about the song, "Gonna Get My Wish Tonight" from The Little Mermaid 2 Return to the Sea? Morgana was a great singer. Also, "Silence is Golden" was redone as a song for the eels in the Broadway version of The Little Mermaid.
Susan Egan also sang What can I do for you in Steven Universe as Rose Quartz/ Pink Diamond
That is correct
"If I can't love her" Beauty and the Beast
wish elvira had been included alongside greed literally possessing edgar as that would've given him more depth.
love "humiliate that boy" more just showing how crazy with power to a sadistic degree jafar went but "why me" is good too.
get this right(which would've shown anna's relationship with kristoff better than how weirdly 2 handled it making the chemistry weak as the 2 having a duet accepting each other would be cute.)/life's too short(that would've made elsa as the antagonist work as it should've been that giving their bond drama to stand up against.)should've been kept as it better handles the relationships.
remember loving never smile at a crocodile on sing along songs.
kinda would love an animation of kaa singing "i'm odd".
could see floating on a cloud for the scrapped part of the ending where cinderella meets the prince before the wedding.
do agree it wouldn't fit mufasa but also think it would've shown the balance the animals had better which people get confused about.
would be nice seeing keep em guessing animated.
if emperor's new groove gets into kingdom hearts would absolutely love "snuff out the light" being used for yzma controlling heartless to awaken an ancient deity.
really wish aladdin's mother had been kept as i loved "proud of your boy"/enjoyed her scenes that i would've loved to have seen her interactions with jasmine, genie and seeing her husband in king of thieves.(maybe hiding it from al to protect him.).
Amazing video ms mojo of deleted songs in Disney classic animated movies, fantastic job.
One Dance, The Little Mermaid it was replaced by Part of your World.
I LOVE If I never knew you
There was a Phil Collins song they cut out of Brother Bear. Went over it in some of the extra bits.
Ha I’ve heard never smile at a crocodile on a Disney song tape and I never knew it was never in the movie 😂
