It's the start of gameplay. I hope the devs stay on track.
Oh hello! Wasn't aware you were aware of my channel :P
SWDennis no way
Well hello
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
Oh hello denny!
You have no idea how happy this video has made me. I was gonna say it as a joke but literally the moment I started typing this I teared up a little. I'm so happy that the future of ksp has a chance to not be this depressing decline into obscurity I worried it would be. Of course, It's still possible but at least this has given me hope!
It's unhealthy how much I love Kerbal Space Program like a member of my family...
base pfp
favorite place is Definity Jool, i love the way Ksp follows the real life solar system by having Jool after Duna with absolutory nothing in between them, and the gas giant and its moons look stunning in my opinion
“Nothing in between them”, yeah I agree, Dres is just a fairy tale, it never existed…
@@mossytoucan6587 based
@@mossytoucan6587 god could you imagine if dres was real? gives me nightmares
@@adora_was_taken guys we know that Dres was just a myth that early kerbals used to explain the tides.
Will "Ceres Isn't Real" become a gag?
Personally love Jool, nothing beats hopping from moon to moon with a gas giant in the background. The Jool system just offers so much in terms of gameplay especially really enjoy challenging landings like laythe and Tylo
laythe is the third place more easy to land. the problem is getting out of there
My favorite place to visit in KSP is Eeloo, because nothing is better than having your mission profile change from Lander > to Base with permanent crew, without crew rotation.
My fave place to visit is low Kerbin orbit. Mainly due to chasing that feeling from the very first time you leave the atmosphere and the music changes, letting you know you've reached a massive milestone. I still smile thinking of that first time.
My favourite place has changed since KSP2 released, and to everyone's surprise (including mine) it's Ike. The surface with all the jagged craters is so much more dynamic now, and the planetshine from Duna hanging in the same place in the sky makes it look beautiful at night
this aged well
The milk in my fridge I’ve kept since I made this video has fared better
My favorite place to visit in KSP is Duna. I love the challenge of landing in a place with just enough atmosphere to screw up your plans, but not enough atmosphere to just land in parachutes. Also the views you get on its surface are amazing, I love that barren desert of a planet!!!!
I personally always had a loved doing high speed runs on Minmus, something about a going super fast over those icy planes with space in the background was super fun to me.
Favourite place? I know it’s not stock Ksp but Sarnus from the outer planet pack is so cool and landing on the moons and seeing the giant rings tower overhead, it’s just amazing to see.
Didn’t even think of modded planets but this answer is perfectly acceptable :p never actually played with OPM myself!
I have a strange passion for Laythe - maybe it’s because I am fascinated by real-world Earth equivalents. I love it so much that I often forget that it isn’t a planet. The versatility for experiments is incredible, and the added challenge of getting there is what makes the game so enjoyable.
Same, I wish we had a real life equivalent to laythe in the Solar system.
My favourite Place is Kerbin Orbit. It just always reminds you of the first time you started the game and somehow managed to get a Kerbin orbit and see the planet from above.
Favourite place to visit is deffinetly the jool system. I once built a giant station and kindof a "colonly" in jool orbit, with ore harvesting craft that would hop to various planets for refueling. Then the kraken killed it ofcourse but it was fun while it lasted
I always liked building surface bases and stations on and around gilly. Its small and has a fun shape, not too hard but also not easy to get to and its fun to see kerbals almost reach escape velocity by jumping. Might have to check out dres in KSP2 now that it has a ring.
Looking forward to more KSP2 content!
haha I think I mentioned in a previous video that you can accidentally sneeze to escape velocity on Gilly... ngl dres was one of the first places I went to in ksp2 to check out the new ring, it actually has a reason to visit it now xD hopefully should have another video out this friday if all goes well!
I personally love Mün, it's always there for me and i love to make auto suficient bases there, the idea of having free fuel and lower gravity there is great to make launches, also i have such a good feeling when i can make a sucsessful landing there, it reminds me of when i used to play and was fascinated by space content and space related games. ❤❤❤
My favorite place had to be low Kerbin orbit. I still get fond memories thinking back to the first time I played KSP2 and having the music change. It's just amazing how such a small feature became such a core memory for me!
Favorite place to visit for me would be Duna, recreating the actual science missions going on in real life on Mars (and expanding on them) in KSP is really fun!
My favorite place in KSP is the launch center. The moment you hit [Space] bar and the rocket engines start to fire never gets old, or never going to forget that sometimes the moment you launch your rocket and that stupid decoupler got activated and the rocket breaks in half, alongside with that sudden short drop of FPS then explosion.
My favorite place has to be Jool, it offers a huge variety of different places to explore, and it also is the most mysterious planet in my opinion, that green hue and the lack of a surface is intriguing and special and unique to Jool!
My favourite place to visit is the Mun since it was the first celestial body I landed on. Its also really fun to simulate some of the apollo missions.
Its almost like a game that was released in early access with a big part of its promotional material saying it wont have much at first will get better as the updates come out for it, wild
My favorite place to visit might be Jool! I did a nice crewed mission landing on most of its moons using Nertea's near future, far future, stockalike station parts, and a whole lot of other mods, to make a super cool transfer vehicle.
Great to see. Always been a big fan of KSP but wanted to wait to pull the trigger on 2.
My favorite destination is the Mun, mainly due to me watching my friend do some wacky shenanigans there over a discord call and just having an absolute BLAST with him. The arches were also really fun to discover for the first time, and them having collision just made it all the sweeter. Just talking about it makes me feel so happy and nostalgic.
I've done a Jool 5, an Eve return mission, gone to every celestial body in KSP 1, but my favorite place is still the Mun. For me the Mun is just a nice simple place to visit and build rockets for and its very nice to see the colorful Kerbin from the surface.
Awesome summary! Personaly my favourite place to visit is Duna, a relatively easy place to visit but also close to heart as its humanity's big goal to get to!
My favorite location to visit is Laythe because you get an awesome view of Jool in the blue sky.
I weirdly love all the tiny little moons - Minmus, Ike, Bop, and Pol come to mind. Something about shooting upward with even the slightest amount of thrust is so fun.
Favourite place to visit is jool - the moons offer different places to visit and jool itself allows you to fling things into deep space to never be seen again...
My favorite place to visit is definetly Duna. It's just such a delight both visually (with the contrast of the ice caps with the vibrant orange surface), and also to land on, with only twice the moons gravity and a nice parachute/spaceplane ready atmosphere, although I've only done so a few times because I usually switch mod sets after the mun and minmus (terrible habit, but can't help myself when I see a shiny mod I want to add that breaks my save). Also I love how Ike is basically locked in one place, makes for really cool relays using Remotetech and great visuals for bases with MKS. It's in my opinion the "Huh, that would be a cool concept for a planet... oh and that would be cool too" bundle of a planet, seriously the best planet in KSP.
Was there, like, a press hold on posting videos about this update? Because within ~10 minutes, you, BeardyPenguin, N9 Gaming, and Scott Manley all posted videos about the new KSP2 content.
Yes there was :P I wasn't allowed to let anyone even know I had access haha
My favorite system to visit is Laythe; breathable air, build a base there, have lil electric powered flying vehicle go around and explore, but I wonder how much u can do when they add more stuff for the submersible capsule.
My favorite ksp destination to visit is laythe because 1 it has water, 2 it's atmosphere and distance from kerbin makes it a challenge to land on and 3 the atmosphere makes flying a plane there ez.
Kerbin orbit. It's the goal at the start of the game, that then turns into a necessary step for every other (space) voyage. Also, I like trying to assemble a comms infrastructure around Kerbin.
I really love the look of kerbins atmosphere with some mods. Im trying to build a big space station in orbit but launching really really heavy payloads turned out to be kinda hard lol
I have been having fun for the first time on ksp2 just yesterday on exploration mode! No wobble, Full kerbal booster, blow up, crashland, land on the Mun first try, new rocket design, boom and so on lol
I think it would be really cool if there were experiments that unlocked specific things. Like maybe atmosphere samples that would let you estimate lift/drag in the vab for different planets
favorite place is Mun, its basic, but its the first one you arrive, and the first landing is a memorable mark in the KSP journey
My favourite place to visit is Gilly. Perfect for refuelling before dropping into hot embrace of Eve. Last serene spot in every hellish mission.
My favorite place to visit is low kerbol orbit, there's just so many challenges to face to get there and gave me a new respect for radiators. Doing a low kerbol space station also taught me that stars have an "atmosphere", I thought it was a glitch at first to be honest.
Favorite place has to be the Mun. That feeling in got when i first landed there after many hours of failing is something i can never repeat. It will always be special.
I am glad that this Alpha style release is functioning much better than the previous "early access" release. Once interstellar and colonies are added I will be happy to revisit purchasing.
For me I love visiting the mun. It´s simple and basic yet still it was the first achievement I ever had in the game. First time going without the maneuver planner. Just seeing it from LKO and thrusting towards it. Now many hours in. Having a interplanetary gateway, building bases on the poles, recreating Apollo 11 missions and ofc visiting the mun arches!
Minmus has always been my fav destination. Something about that minty green moon always makes me wanna send kerbals there to get surface samples for tas- Ahem, testing purposes
My favorite place is Tylo because of the challenge of landing there and the sometimes underrated scenery. Some of the mountain ranges there are quite impressive.
My favorite place to visit in the kerbolar system has to be pol. For 3 main reasons, 1: It's orbiting the coolest planet. 2: Look at its color, there's nothing like it. 3: It's easy to land on lol.
Favorite place to visit is definitely the Jool system because it looks so cool. I love the concept of gas giants and they amaze me. Also, the moons are cool and watching Jool from them is very enjoyable.
Favourite place to visit...probably Duna, because when I first landed there not in sandbox was while watching "The Martian" and it was fun first time doing it for real with limited tech. And getting there in RP-1 is fun. But visually definetly Jool system.
I think my favorite place will be Laythe, it's been a big reason I wanted to go interplanetary in the first game! It also has a lot of untouched potential as a mining colony, since I haven't yet seen anyone build an "oil" rig to mine ore from the big ocean on it, which actually has a *lot* of ore in it
My favorite place to visit is Duna, I have a strong admiration and curiosity towards Mars and love how similar yet very different it is from Earth and Duna it's essentially the Mars of the Kerbolar system. It was also the first planet I managed to do a succesful landing when I first started playing KSP1 and it remains being my first target whenever I go interplanetary.
My favorite place is Minmus. Low gravity, relativly near homeland so i can go back easily and above all : it looks green and there are great flat zone where we just can play soccer !
my favorite place to visit in the kerbol system is the really tiny ice lakes minmus early game because it allows me to practice my landing aim.
It would be cool if they implanted a complication system with experiments. Thinking from the show For All Mankind they come up with practical and impractical scenarios during missions where something goes wrong. Not sure every mission needs one but it would certainly add a dynamic to it to keep you feeling like you are playing a game at times.
my favourite destination in the kerbal system is the Dres Canyon, one of my favourite accomplishments is a somewhat stable orbit through the canyon using sheer damn trial and error.
My favourite place was always Laythe, even though I never got to visit it very often, I'm not the world's best designer so my rockets would almost never make it, but when they did I always had a great time, having a breathable atmosphere was a refreshing gift from the game and I had a certain island I would always land on which had a perfect view of Kerbol on one side and Jool on the other during sunrise, I would do my experiments and leave, or i would transmit them and banish my Kerbal to the island forever, I can only hope I'll be able to do the same in KSP2 one day.
:)
My favorite place to visit is Minmus - so far lol! Still somewhat new to KSP & have yet to leave the immediate Kerbin System. Working on a Gateway Station & Surface Base now! Going to Duna next - or trying to make a Minmus Speeder for the Flats :P
Favourite place for me to go and build colonies is Vall, I don't know if it's common for people to like Vall, but it's basically because it reminds me a lot of Saturn's moon Europa, and I love seeing Jool in the sky without an atmosphere in between like on Laythe.
For me the best place to visit is the surface of Kerbal after a successful mission, such a good feeling you brought all the Kerbals safe home and you didn’t screw up. (Not that I have a lot of experience with it, I guess I need some of the training programs in ksp2 😂)
Great video! Personal favorite place in the kerbol system is the Mun, because although it’s boring I only got ksp1 recently and it’s the only place I’ve been to. I might update this comment when I explore other places in the kerbol system
If you can get to the Mun, you can get to Minmus with the same rocket. Bring back some ice cream!
I think the best places to visit in the kerbol system are minmus (the experiment results are hillarious) and laythe (the concept of a habitable moon is just so cool) i seriously can't wait for more KSP2 content.
My favorite place to visit in the game has to be the south pole of the Mun. I loved recreating the Jamestown base from For All Mankind, and it was really fun to create cis-Munar infrastructure, setting up refueling systems, communication relays, crew transit systems and such. I'd love to win a giveaway copy of the game!
It's good to see that the game seems to have a much brighter future than we all originally thought.
I almost always aim for Duna. One of my "go-to" missions when I'm bored is designing and launching a rover+skycrane. It just feels right, the correct mix of complexity and simplicity.
Right after the update I rushed progression to do a mun landing, I absolutely agree with the SAS making it harder than it should be, but personally once I finally got lined up the docking ports just... didn't connect
Favorite place to explore has to be Jool. Just a lot of fun going to a massive gas giant, then trying to land on one of the smaller moons
Wow, seeing the quality of the video i thought this channel had a lot more views. Good content here!
I like minmus. The low gravity and flats make it really nice for bases and refueling.
I love visiting duna because it reminds me of watching rovers land on mars irl, makes me feel like a real rocket scientist
Love visiting Duna, as I am super hyped for the next few decades of Mars exploration
My favorite place to visit has got to be jool, there are so many missions you can do there, especially if you use ISRU.
My favorite place is minimus, it’s so overshadowed, but for me it was such an achievement to reach, and it is where I feel the Kerbol system starts feeling truly different and special
I love your videos. My favorite place to visit is duna. The Martian is one of my favorite books, and I like trying to recreate the book while on duna. Thanks for the great content
I hopefully the devs can keep this momentum going and add faster and faster the fewer bugs they need to fix from release. I am really looking forward to colonies because I can then build one on the Duna, which happens to also be my favourite planet.
My favorite place to visit are eeloo and laythe as they have water and and land both and that would be where an astrobiologist would like research (which i want to become) and it also tests my rocket building skills with buoyancy and ability to go underwater and making it move over it.
It is a bit of a challenge (which is always like) and helps me learn about rocket engineering (which is also my interest)
It reminds me of Enceladus, which is a very fascinating place.
Yoo that update look sick!
atm, I think eve is my favourite place, building up a hellscape prison uhmm I mean permanent outpost for my kerbals is really time-consuming, but fun!
Great Video!
I’ve really been enjoying the challenges/ missions as a means of putting a direction behind the game, I’ve really been enjoying it in the little time I have to play it every day, landing on mun tonight
I love going to the mun, its nice and close, so setting up massive trains of ships going both ways is easy
Favourite place in KSP? I'd have to go with Laythe, even though I fly there quite rarely: it's so well balanced, with it being a somewhat challenging destination, but enabling the use of e.g. reusable SSTOs just like on Kerbin thanks to its atmosphere.
My personal favourite location to go is probably Minmus. It’s close, has low gravity, and generally is a low stress place to land.
I just got to my first mun landing in KSP 2 and this is something the game should have had on launch - that thing being, gameplay.
I love the VAB and SPH, because that's where I spend 99% of the time. I really want to visit Laythe, though; ocean moons are such a vibe.
My favorite place to visit is Eve. Eve was the 1st actual planet i managed to land a ship on, i hope someday i can manage to make a colony there.
My favorite place to visit is Moho ,it is hard to get to it due to it's proximity to the sun(Kerbol) meaning you need a delta v to reach it which makes for a challenge with it's tilt which can be fun and It has the Moho hole .
My favourite place to visit is the Mun, just because it feels like the first big step!
my favourite place for visiting is Dune cause the only place other than Kerbin that I could get to when I was a kid was Mun and going beyond that makes me feel happy
I am happy to hear its gotten better but I'm waiting for the base building and interstellar features as promised before I cross from being intrigued to a customer. I still feel like I already have this game. Happy to wait, I am in no rush for the finished product.
my favorite places to visit are: potato (gilli, because the low gravity. you can orbit it just running), and duna (is very fun try to land a spaceplane there)
laythe for sure, so fun having an actual breathable atmosphere and making boats and such
Ngl i like visiting jule, the gas giant just looks so cool. i really hope that there might be another gas giant added later on in ksp 2.
i honsetly love minmus couse its such a good playground for doing all kinds of stuff with low gravity
I really love how the game looks now. I just really want to visit Jool.
I just started my series because of this update. I was waiting for something to keep people wanting to watch, bringing a purpose. This is a great start, I really want reputation and money to be a factor though.
Favorite place is the arches on the mun and the other discoverables that can be found.
Favorite place is Laythe, because I'm a Ferram enabled space plane junky. Flying and transferring a SSTO between two planets is fun.
Favorite place to visit is Dres, because it looks really cool and I like where it is in the solar system. Landing on Dres is very satisfying. Unfortunately I don’t have a phone number so I can’t do the discord thing
My favorite place to visit would probably be Duna, as I think I never actually touched down there on KSP1. Always installed to many difficulty mods, so I only made it to Duna Orbit.
It may be boring but my favorite place to visit is the Mun, I love the views of Kerbin while transferring.
personally my favourite place is vall with how big jool is its so pretty and suck a nice place to start a base and colony istg i’m gonna go there in ksp 2
My favorite place to explore in ksp is jool, it has a lots of cool and unique moons you can land on
