Fun fact: The original Atlas ICBM was meant to be bigger- it would've had 4 LR-89s instead of just 2 (a total of at least 7 instead of 5 engines) and about the same size as the Soviet R-7 that launched Sputnik, but in 1954 they realized that nuclear warheads could be built smaller, hence the reason the Atlas was scaled down to its final form. Would love to see you fly it some day- the configuration was known as the MX1593.
I almost redid that line of voiceover, because yeah, meant to say more points of failure means its a lot more likely to have cascading failures, but instead I said that and uh... yeah... xD
Yeah unfortunately there just wasn’t as much to cover this year with only three launches, next year there are a lot though so should be quite a bit longer!
by the way. there's a solution to the bug where the ground fades away in the very upper atmosphere until you reach space. Enter and exit the map view at any time during flight and it fixes it until you change scenes.
Oh well I shamefully overlooked the redux series when I asked for VOD as well as highlights! Been enjoying them over and over again ( even the current iteration LOL ). Please keep doing what you are doing! Merry holidays! EDIT: Take your time! You more than earned it! Ill be looking forward to the next episode!
A quick tip for X planes. While you can't do c Karman line without Hypersonic tech unlocked. You can reach over 2000m/s near 40Km by encasing the cockpit in a fairing/Aeroshell, and then jettison it before landing after heating has ended.
HI Carnasa, loving the new series as always (Long time watcher, first time commenter type of thing) Would you consider making a tutorial or showing your settings on how to use mechjeb, I have used it a lot in stock but not a lot of time in RO, and there are not that many out there so I think you could help me and a lot more people out, keep up the good work!
So I might not make a full blown tutorial for that, but that’s absolutely something I can see if I can show a bit more in the next video :) and thanks! Glad you’re enjoying it :D
@@CarnasaThat sounds awesome, have you tried it with unguided stages yet, I tried that on my own but don't know if a fault of programming mechjeb or the rocket itself lol
Never managed to play this mod, too complicated to my little head, but I wouldn't be able to get to only 100$, I would always want to leave some extra as emergency in case some mission fail and I need to do it again.
Took a while to get round that myself when I first started playing but yeah, any money in the bank is wasted money, at least it was in older versions, this version money is a bit more important to have a little bit of but still you want to be putting that money to work!
Yep, just had a few things going on in January that have stopped me from editing the next vid, it’s nearly done now though and probably going to be over an hour long 😅
Everyone reply your favorite rocket below:
Ariane 5
Starship
Titan IIIE / IV for past and SLS or Starship for present!
Starship aswell, probably shuttle
Ares I because I like death sticks

"More chances of failure means it's more likely to happen"
Every sixty seconds in Africa, a minute passes

I think it's the third time I watch this episode. In fact, I'm constantly rewatching this series
This week's episode was shorter than I anticipated but I enjoyed it none the less.

ah always a treat to get a new kgrr episode
No no, they're cats, caring for them is a DUTY.
Have a nice Holiday Bbeak and thank you for keeping the old KSP-spirit alive amongst the „For Science-Hype“.
This pace is pretty damn good. I'm expecting to make my first orbit attempt of my RiS save in early 1956, so you are just flying through it
I do start to slow down a bit later on, still on course to beat most historical dates but it gets a lot closer to real life :p
where is our kerbal gets real!?

Enjoy your break Carnasa, see you in the new year pal.
Wow I thought there wouldn't be another video this week!
Also hello Carnasa!🤩
I love Sundays now
Have a great birthday and well-deserved rest, dude
NEW EPISODE RAAAAAAAAAA
Take it easy.
Is the Odyssey’s core stage 3m?
It is!
Very useful diameter if you ask me :p
@@Carnasasure is. I like to make Delta. IV heavy type of vehicles once the LR 87 LH2 variant is available
how long is the core stage of odyssey ?
doesn't the S155 have like 10 relights iirc? It's great early game, but you have to use it in pairs
If an engine fails with TestFlight, it fails for good! So because it failed wouldn’t have been able to relight it D:
