I’ve had a Bob’s, an X-Carve and a Shapeoko. I can tell you without hesitation that this Onefinity is in a class of its own. Do you currently have a CNC?
@@boliu9608 I had the Shapeoko Pro XXL. My main reason for changing was the need for a bigger cutting area. I too looked hard and heavy at the SO5 Pro, I was a Shapeoko guy. But after doing a lot of research and comparison, I just felt like the Onefinity was clearly the better, stiffer, and heavier duty machine. Now, two months later I’ve never had one second of regret. There really is no comparison between the Onefinity and Shapeoko. Just being honest.
Mitchell, did your tram the spindle be fore you surfaced the machine. I am not sure if its a nessacary step thanks Foran any information! love your videos!
Good idea to remove the tool setter just incase. It looks like you almost had another problem at 12:30 with the back of the hose getting hung up. Did you make the tool path with the Masso? That's how I made mine for surfacing.
No, I just made the tool path in VCarve as usual. I don’t know how to create tool paths in Masso, didn’t even know it was possible! Good eye with the hose tangle issue, but I corrected that problem right away. 😉👍
Thank you kind sir for making these videos. Mine is in the process of being sent out to me, and I’m very excited! Now I just gotta learn how to do the thing!!!! I appreciate your videos a lot. Sub’d and thumbs up!
Hi Mike, thanks for watching! In VCarve Pro I just created a square that matched the dimensions of my wasteboard, then set up a pocket toolpath to run .02" deep. The only thing I'd do different the next time would be to run it as a raster cut instead of an offset cut.
First thank you for your videos. Ive watched a lot if not all. Im experiencing the same connections delays in the masso link. I've tried this. I've tried deleting and reinstalling it, and i made sure im on the same band, and still after hours pc reads "connecting" masso touch reads "connected". AI couldn't help. Any suggestions?
Hello and thank for the videos great content. I'm waiting for me foreman elite setup with 2.2 water. would you be able to tell me the height of requirement from the top of your table to the top of highest point above the spindle tubing when spindle is in highest position. I need to build my table but trying to get it to fit under my shop cabinets. trying to determine if i need to shorten my cabinets. Thanks
I noticed in some of your history you mentioned previously having a Shapeoko Pro. What was the main reason you switched to the Onefinity Elite and what was the biggest learning curve lesson? I enjoyed your wasteboard video.
@billmurphy7310 Good question! The main reason i wanted a new machine was the need for a larger cutting area. The biggest learning curve is the Masso controller on the Elite machines. It’s like starting over from scratch, especially if you were used to using Carbide Motion, like I was. But it’s so worth the time it takes to learn how to take full advantage of all it’s capable of. I’m 2 months in and have been sharing everything I’ve learned so far. Lots more to learn but it’s really exciting to be able to work with a machine and software that is truly best in class.
That’s the Masso MPG Pendant. It’s awesome! www.masso.com.au/product/mpg-pendant/ Here a link to the installation video I did last year. Installing A Masso MPG Pendant on Onefinity Elite Foreman CNC th-cam.com/video/C33JxSxieD4/w-d-xo.html
@@MitchellsWoodwork Ya, I just happened to find your video on it before I saw your reply. I am ordering one now. I used to use a wireless mini keyboard on my Shapeoko and knew there had to be a solution for the Elite, so I wouldn't have to bounce back and forth from the job to the screen. Thank you!!!!
Man I love your videos. You are showing all the things I am going through to get my machine up and running. I thank you for that! So when you load that other bit, does your masso show the wrong tool loaded until you run the program or is there a way to make it show that tool loaded? Or how do you tell the masso after the manual tool change what tool is there now?
Great question! The #1 rule is to never change or load a tool until prompted to do so by the Masso. By doing this, your Masso always knows which bit is loaded. Thanks for watching!
@@MitchellsWoodwork How can I force the masso to request a tool change? I can use the manual tool change button but it doesn't change the tool in use on the masso. Thanks
Let's assume you want to load tool #11 into the spindle: Go to F2 > MDI > In box next to "Run" button, type t11m6 > tap "Run" t11 = tool 11 m6 = change tool
@@MitchellsWoodwork Yes sir. I didn't give you enough info. And it worked. Thanks man. Gonna work on the surfacing file now!
I’ve just decided to cry once and got one myself. Plus a set of 10 replacement blades. It’s my 5th bits&bits order since I got my 1F, and I’m still using the discount code from 1F. I guess there is no rule that you can only use the code once 😁

I am sitting here with an Elite Foreman in my cart. I can’t find anything on why I should spend the extra $450 for the QCW. I’ve enjoyed your videos so I figured I could get an understandable explanation from you.
Honestly, I’m not sure I’d order it again if I had it to do over. It’s fine but I hate the 8” spacing between the T-Tracks. If it had 4” spacing like my Shapeoko Pro XXL wasteboard I’d recommend it. But as it is, my advice is save that money for a spindle and VFD.
Oh… the PWN cart is also loaded and has allocated funds! Thank you. (I’m sure I’ll use that 450 quickly once I’m up and running and discover why I “need” add ons.) Plus I imagine I’ll be using some to buy you a few coffees.

Yes, there are three external buttons on the Masso. E-Stop, a red “pause” button, and a green resume button. The machine will pause and then resume where it left off. There are so many other features that put the Masso truly in a league of its own in the hobby CNC market. There’s nothing else even close.
Can you make a video showing all the acessories you bought and why. CNC newbie here, doing my research before I buy. wow that spindle setup cost $3,700? To get started do i need it, or should i get some experience and just buy the makita router?
My PwnCNC spindle kit is $974.00, including the 220v 80mm water cooled spindle, pond pump with 30’ Superthane tube, and Kool Connection hose adapters. I started with a Makita router on my previous CNC’s and did lots of great work with it. The spindle kit is so much nicer, but it’s certainly not a necessity. At some point I may make a video on my setup, thanks for the suggestion and thanks for watching!
I finally got my elite foreman assembled and ready to surface my spoil board, what program or where did you find a surfacing program? I also got the 2 “ bit.
I use Vectric VCarve Pro. Just watch this video and other surfacing videos until it starts to “click” for you. I’d suggest just doing some basic quick projects (squares, circles, etc.) on scrap lumber until you get to know your setup better before making permanent changes to your spoilboard.

I use a set of L-shaped hex keys from Bondhus - they are quite robust. They have a ball on the long end, and barely wear at all.
