After playing with the 360+ Speed MP, Gravity MP and Pro, Extreme 360+ Pro and Tour, Yonex Ezone 98 2022 and Vcore 98 2023, the Babolat Pure Aero was the only Racket which gave me tennis elbow in Both arms after 2-3 Months of using it. No babolat for me. I settled on the new Extreme MP and it’s comfortable. No issues. Despite that the Aero feels clunky compared to the MP. Both are great rackets.
@@sunglee3935 Yup. I was surprised too, but i have a two handed backhand. So maybe it has something to do with vibration frequencies of the Aero. I dunno. Both elbows didn’t tolerate that racket. I lowered tension, used softer strings but it got worse. Switched to a Vcore 98, continued playing and the pain slowly faded on both arms. Now I’m free of any pain.
@@MaiTizzle I got tennis elbow when I tried luxilon alupower full bed. I used rpm blast full bed before was ok so I thought luxilon will be ok but got tennis elbow after playing one match.
As you have tried Gravity MP and Extreme both, would you compare these two as I am into Head racquets and trying to find the one for me. Thanks in advance😊
It was said: "It doesn't feel like an Aero". I'm curious, which Aero are you comparing it to? FWIW: I use the current Aero and it's the first racquet that's felt right compared to the old Aeropro Drive Cortex that came out in 2007 (I was really clinging to that one). It plays very similar to the APDC; same control, slightly more dampened and a touch bigger sweetspot/easier to use. I tried the previous Aero (banana) which I didn't gel with, plus it was slightly unconfortable on the arm. The current Aero is perfect.
So pleased you find the new one perfect! We just found it a little less chaotic than more recent models. Agree that the Aeropro Drive Cortex was a delight
Great review lads! I have PA98 with Restring Zero strung at 46lbs and the power is easily on par with PD100 but the control is much greater with PA98. Pls advise string tension you strung at. Cheers
I would agree on all points except on feel, it was the complete opposite for me - Aero was harsh, hollow and uncomfortable, the only racquet (20+ tested) that destroyed both wrists.
Love the thought and appreciate the feedback. We have thought about this before but find that it depends so much on the player. What is comfortable for me, is not necessarily comfortable for Ben or Josh or anyone else...
Not sure those two guys knew what they were talking about. The Extreme MP is quite plush, comfortable while PA is stiff and muted. RE: spin, I am not sure anyone below USTA 5 can tell a difference. The 2022 Extreme has a bit more feedback (less muted) than the 2024 version.
@@Crypticals- It’s average spec, not exact measurement of these tested frames. Just like 300g is not the mass of these exact frames. So they might be quite off-spec in different directions, which affects the test a lot. Real SW is the most uncertain spec and greatly affecting the test. If PA was closer to 327, and EMP was like 317, that would obviously affect the power and whippiness. Because it’s very strange to get different “whippiness” from identically speced frames, just doesn’t happen in real world.
I had been using PA for months and my wrists pain just never stopped, until I changed to Extreme and no more pain since then.
Same here, tried 20+ other racquets, settled on Blade 100 :) no more pain!

Both arms? I never heard of that. I changed from pure aero to head extreme and it is more flexible

it's surprising, I thought I was the only one to have had double tennis elbow, due to a change of racket (wilson shift pro)
Great review! I like playing with a bit of an unpredictable edge, and I love my Extreme MP...
Great review boys! 💯
I used to play with the Aero
My arm suffered :(
What tension did you guys string the racquets at? I strung a Pure Aero at 52lbs and can't get enough control
50lbs

Love the Aero 98 too! We strung at 50lbs

I think you should add "Arm friendly" as one of the categories. Good video.

What string is this?
How about SW comparisons???
Yeah, wanna know how these two exact frames are on the SW? So important for direct power comparison!
1:46 its on the comparison of specs (323 v 322)

It would be good if you could back up your videos with measurements, e.g. by using Swing Vision or Wingfield.
Sounds fun. What sort of measurements would you like to see?
Lots of people can’t handle the stiff rackets I guess… or it’s their form most likely their form
No babolat for me, terrible for the arm, horrendous design (rafa) pure marketing. Head extreme or yonex vcore for me
If you want to pronounce « babolat » the French way, just don’t pronounce the « t » at the end. It should go like « babolah »
It is important to how it plays.
