If you ever come back to Turkey, the best in my opinion, is Antalya, and rent a car. Go to little-visited but epic places like Termessos (ancient city in the mountains), Tazi Canyon (freezing cold fresh water rivers year round with big canyons), Side, Olympos etc. There is SO much to do in Antalya area, not just the city itself (which is also decent).
