6:02 benthic biomancer shouldn't be free since stonybrook's ability says cost (1) colourless less to play, not blue. so ryan wouldn't be able to trigger rishadan's ability at 7:51

Kumena usually only costs UG1, reduced to UG. He had two islands and a forest, so he was fine casting the Biomancer.
Edit: Ah, you were meaning having mana open for the Rishadan's ability. When he cast the creatures he tapped all his mana so I'm not sure exactly what he figured was happening, if he thought he had an open mana or if he misread Rishadan as not costing anything

I have advice for Matt: unless you plan not to attack or it is relevant because of triggers, you should generally not play your spells on your First Main Phase. Reason being if you go to combat with open mana, you can represent interaction for combat (which you actually might even have), and with things like Laelia for example you can actually just make use of the impulse draw that way.
So, generally, play on the second Main if possible. Playing on First Main should be an exception, not the rule

As a newbie, the absurd amount of combat triggers at the late stages of the game are horrifying. I'm gonna play my first commander game this weekend and im dreading just completely losing track and having no clue whats going on.

So did they rule zero that Wish is able to be played? Because there usually is no sideboard to even take cards from
Using Wish to play a card from your sideboard is the ruling for when it’s used in tournament play and limited play. In a casual game, like commander, it can be used to play any card in your collection. Its purpose in my Karona deck though was to serve as a proxy for Vow of Lightning because I learned right before we filmed this game that my vow of lightning accidentally got shuffled in with someone else’s deck
The official Commander website states that Wish effects do not work in the Commander format in their FAQ. Also, you must still pay the cost of the card Wished for, in addition to paying for Wish itself. So a Rule 0 conversation would be appropriate pre-game.
Of course both of those issues are resolved if the Wish is merely a placeholder/proxy for the missing Vow of Lightning. And it's evident that there was a pre-game conversation with at least Ryan regarding this exact situation. Soooo... doesn't seem like a problem to me.

Ok new player to MTG can someone explain why Zack’s counter spell card was able to counter matts creature ?
It counts the cast of the creature, think about it like this
Creature spell goes on the stack -> counter spell goes on the stack next before the creatures ETBs -> counter spell resolves -> monster is discarded
Its like negating the summon of a monster in yugioh with judgment if you've played that before
Every nonland is a spell, so you can counterspell a cast creature
thematically, you spend mana to cast creatures too. You're a spellcaster. So your spell that casts that creature can be countered!

Suggestions Voltron aggro commander:
1. Velomuchus. Keep bombarding everyone stuffs while keep getting extra turns/combat phases
2. The howling abomination. Imagine, spellslinger but gruul and voltron. Burn everyone to death in 2-3 turns.
3. Greven. Rakdos cheat life card draws, suddenly 1 shot someone and gain massive of card draws.
