Watching them on TH-cam is amazing but even more amazing is seeing them live. You can't even begin to imagine what it's like to stand in their presence. I got to see them in September. It was the most amazing, magical experience of my life. I can't even describe it in words. If you ever have the opportunity to see them in concert, please do it.
Like many music freaks, this "Holy War" live music video was also my first LOVEBITES experience. It hit me like a fresh hurricane and I had to watch it about 10 times to really believe it - not even in my dreams could I have imagined something so wonderful. 🤘🌀🐺🌀🤘

In all my years of listening to metal, they are as close to flawless I've ever heard. They play incredibly tight and all are elite level musicians. Midori & Miyako are 2 of he best guitarists I've ever heard, especially their ability to play off each other and harmonizing. Trust me, they will only get more impressive as you dive deeper into this fantastic rabbit hol
Great players, BUT Midori is actually often pretty sloppy. In 40 years of listening to metal, these ladies are up there, but I've heard many other better players. Hizaki and Teru from Versailles/Jupiter are on the same level and SYU from Galneryus is probably the most technically accurate player I've heard, but there are many others. Nothing to take away from the M&M show though. Great band.
One of the many aspects I love about this band is that in all their songs there is so much happening at once it's impossible to take it all in at once. I have listened to many of their songs 20, 30 times over or more and still discover new details every so often, which keeps this music fascinating for a long time.

On LOVEBITES discography 2 EP are with jacket on( 1ST EP name LOVEBITES EP , it's a denim jacket & 4th EP name LOVEBITES EP II it's a white leather jacket) the 4 albums and 2 EPS and 5 LIVES 1 BEST OF are each time with a Wolf the artwork .That's why the fans are the WOLFPACK. In my opinion LOVEBITES are the spiritual daughters of IRON MAIDEN ( i discovered metal with the IM and LOVEBITES remember them.)
Not forgetting that Haruna's love of metal comes from Helloween and that's how she styles her playing. The duel guitars are also heavily influenced by Helloween as well as Maiden.

Did you notice the piano?Miyako, guitarist on the right, is a classically trained pianist who also composes the band’s music. ‘Swan Song w/Chopin intro’ shows her versatility as a musician. I think a reason she’s so good on guitar has to do with learning how to keep your hands relaxed when playing the piano.
I went to tons of live Metal and Hard Rock gigs through the 70's, 80's and 90's but had given up on the scene by the end of the 20th century and embraced EDM. Then, in 2016, I discovered the Japanese Metal and Rock scenes and haven't looked west since, with Band-Maid supplying all my Hard Rock needs and Lovebites the Metal ones! The fact that there are so many other extremely talented bands too in Japan (mostly all female like Lovebites, Band-Maid, Nemophila, Hanabie, Otoboke Beaver and many others) is a bonus! Miyako on the right hand guitar is a virtuoso pianist and displays her skills on songs like Frozen Serenade or Swan Song, which she opens with a Chopin etude before returning to shredding. Lovebites are perfection and are even more perfect live! Like Band-Maid, they literally do not have any bad songs, just Great to Astounding!

Their most reacted to song, as it is where most people start. It shows them well in their power metal glory, but they do amazing thrash. I actually fell in love with them due to Thunder Vengeance, the opener for this show, played right before Holy War. That's a great one to check out. Break the Wall, also from this show, is in my opinion the greatest thrash song ever written. You won't get the range from Asami in either, but she remains just as good and the thrash is absolutely incredible. You then of course also have so many other directions to go with them. For me, they're the greatest band ever, of course having built upon and been influenced by all that came before.

Yes, live is definitely the way to go. IMHO there are some few MV that tops live * Stand up and deliver * Shadowmaker * Judgement day NOTE - the live ones are also good. But I think this three MV have something else. Regarding everything is good. Yes, all songs they have made are good. Which is amazing for a group. They have good judgement what to perform. But there are two songs where there are videos of different quality. * Swan Song shall be the one with Chopin intro (Zepp Divercity 2020). The official one from 2023 I would call really bad. The audio sux. Don't know why they have it on their site. You cannot hear the piano and it sounds generally strange. One surprise is that the end piano part sounds good. I think it is fake and taken from a studio recording. If they want a video with the new setup with Fami than I think they have to redo that song. It will be tough to beat the 2020 one though, which is very good. * Holy War, you did choose the best one, the one at Zep Divercity 2020. This one is really good.

In Japan, there are more than 100 female bands alone, and as it is a difficult environment in which it is difficult to stand out simply by being a good performer, each band tries to have a unique identity. The easiest way to make a statement is through stage costumes. They chose to wear ‘white feminine costumes’, which until then had been taboo in the metal scene. Of course, their style ran the risk of not being accepted and becoming isolated, but they still took the risk and made the wolf the symbol of the band, saying that they didn't care if they had to be lone wolves. At some point, people bitten by LOVEBITES began to call themselves ‘WolfPack’.
Miyako and Midori, the two guitarists may be the best metal guitar duo of all time, but at the very least, they are the best since the late 1980s (Marty Friedman & Jason Becker from the band Cacophany).
Early morning here - and as always: a short workout, then a quarter-hour or so of music. What music? Three options: Lovebites, a nice reaction to them, or both. And after that with a light step and a heart full of soul into the rest of the day. It always functions. Lovebites: my reliable companions.
Haruna. Their drummer can be a beast. But he's always damn accurate. We must not forget the works of the cymbals either. It does all this with ease. He is a very good drummer in his category. Metal/hard rock. Oh, and good buddies Haruna and Akane Hirose. :)
