No matter what horrible thing that I've endured in my (xx)yrs, I will always consider myself one of the luckiest people to have ever lived on this planet.
And I owe a LOT of that to Pink Floyd. Nearly every major event in my life has had this band/its music there to comfort me or add splendor. TIME taught me how to use it, I was maybe 8yo the first time I heard it, really LISTENED to it. Because of them, every tale I tell my grandkids, it often has this band attached.
So blessed to have had them in my life from the start, to be able to see them live, to have nearly all of their albums original cut vinyl...for EVER grateful to you guys, all the others that have come and gone or featured on a tune: THANK YOU for adding more value to my precious TIME. With Love from Jez.

I was lucky enough to see Pink Floyd 9 times, 1975-1994. It took some work to get to some of them!
That first overnight wait in line , April 1975 at the Sear's ticketron in St. David's, Pa., on the Mainline. There were about 10 of us on a Friday night queing at one of the entrances...at 2 AM, a van rolls up, and two guys pull a half empty keg of beer out from a party that had just ended...
    " Anybody want a beer?!"
We hid that keg behind an adjacent wall....
Hard times in those wait lines indeed!
    ( Burp)!
Got decent tickets at the Spectrum, that June!!

The path you tread is narrow
And the drop is shear and very high
    The ravens all are watching
    From a vantage point nearby
    Apprehension creeping
Like a tube-train up your spine
Will the tightrope reach the end
    Will the final couplet rhyme
    And it's high time
    Cymbaline
    It's high time
    Cymbaline
    Please wake me
    A butterfly with broken wings
    Is falling by your side
The ravens all are closing in
And there's nowhere you can hide
    Your manager and agent
Are both busy on the phone
    Selling coloured photographs
    To magazines back home
    And it's high time
    Cymbaline
    It's high time
    Cymbaline
    Please wake me
The lines converging where you stand
They must have moved the picture plane
The leaves are heavy around your feet
You hear the thunder of the train
    And suddenly it strikes you
    That they're moving into range
Doctor Strange is always changing size
    And it's high time
    Cymbaline
    It's high time
    Cymbaline
    Please wake me
The lines converging where you stand
They must have moved the picture plane
The leaves are heavy around your feet
You feel the thunder of the train
    And suddenly it strikes you
    That they're moving into range
Doctor Strange is always changing size
    And it's high time

Estoy de acuerdo y comparto tu apreciación,,, y sostengo que Gilmour comenzaba a ganarle terreno de interpretación y melodia, y expresión artística a Waters.

At around 3:22 is one of the tastiest chord-licks the esteemed Mr. Gilmour has ever recorded, IMNSHO. What a guy! Just casually tossing off something most guitar players would give their left nut to have originated.

I'm sure it's a glitch, part of the original 1970 recording

It is a result of the monitor being transmitted to the PBS studios.

Via a monitor to the American studios a typical mistake made back then since there were no.satillites.

You could tell this was a transitional period for them. Still good music.A bit of Saucer, still developing into their sound. Nick's drum fill at 3:20 sounds like a bunch of tennis shoes tumbling in a dryer - absolutely classic.

Gilmour’s guitar from 7:45 is a preview of what’s coming on Dark Side; Between Waters’ Chinese poetry-influenced “Cirrus Minor” and “Green is the Colour” I’ve loved this album for over 40 years.
