I went to the Culinary Institute of America and was trained in formal dining room service. We learned all of this and more! I now live in Idaho and formal dining is nearly unheard of. Only one up scale restaurant and dressing up means polishing your cowboy boots! I really like it but would like a bit more formal dining. Thanks for the video.

Pulling the server aside to tell them you'll pay ahead of time is BRILLIANT. In Japan, dining out etiquette is very strict and rigid.
For example, where each person sits (by ranking order), serving etiquette (as a guest), e.t.c

    Good tips.
Cocktail parties are fun and great time to flirt.
I always like to attend and also give cocktail parties.
Finger foods is good and cocktail drinks are best.
I like to dress up for cocktail parties either by wearing a suite or a trouser, shirt and jacket combo. I have even worn a tuxedo to a few cocktail parties.
I think that the host must set the stage for the right standard of the cocktail party, right from the invitation, the invitees, the venue, the food and drink to the introductions and the message (if any).
I have taken a few dates to company cocktail parties, but I have come to realize that a classy woman is much better to invite than a down to earth no ambitions woman.
I like to listen to good background music like smooth jazz.

I agree with most of what you said., having been in business over 40 years and having these meetings. With one exception. The person who brought up democrats did a calculated risk, that is to say most democrats don't own business and are not in high managerial positions but instead are fire fighters, teachers in govt jobs. Now had the person you are entertaining to try and secure the contract, if he or she brings up politics it's good to side with them in some way like even a silver lining at least. Often times praising the same politics makes the buyer comfortable with you. If you know for certain that you share the same politics as your buyer, then you should bring it up in conversation. Agreeing on shared ethos is a great way to build trust that goes with religion as well. I would guess ya'll are democrats for saying to be quiet on politics and religion, which in business is not a wise Sun Tzu tactic that we in the market practice. Just by saying to be quiet may have lost ya'll all hundreds of followers on TH-cam. "Sanity is a narrow as a razors edge." But I think you are still young and are learning the ways of the world so I don't take umbrage. Be careful with your words.
