FMS J-3 CUB V-4- NOT ALL CUBS ARE YELLOW! by Fat Guy Flies RC

Not all Cubs are yellow! And that is certainly the case with the FMS J-3 Cub V-4. The non yellow FMS J-3 Cub V-4 comes in the red and white Swiss livery. Even though this FMS J-3 Cub V-4 is not yellow the red and white show up great!

Your comments about the tires and the battery compartment are spot on. I fly on grass and the front wheels would get stuck on small dips on the soil. I had to do some searching for bigger tires that would fit the axel without a lot of modifications. I finally found 3 inch tires that fit perfectly and that has helped. This plane has a lot of torque so as you can see in the video, it likes to turn left when you give it speed at take off so a little rudder is needed. Once in the air is very smooth.

Again nice flights sir , I had the navy cub version learnt to land with this plane so took a beating I fitted bigger wheels as my fields are a little rough , I just yesterday brought the yellow 1800 dancing wings cub , looking forward to some summer flights , great stuff as always appreciated 🙏

Us Electric Foam Flyers whine about the most petty things like getting a battery in and out...Which is so silly when you consider the process and routine a balsa nitro plane flyer goes thru each time they wanna put one up in the air....We have no room to complain about hassles of flying electric planes....ill put up with the little stuff all day long

Not to mention the ease of assembly and hardly ever any at field assembly. If you watch any of my newer unboxing and ASSEMBLY videos, I have long since dropped the term og "Build" with a foam plane. Having said that however the hatch on this plane is so tight I am afraid it will break very soon. It is just way too tight and hard to open.

Real easy , and worth it I learnt to fly on this landings are very nice and looks very scale in the air

4 screws hold the wing on and the gear are strong yet stiff. Lands ok in short grass. Don't take my examples in this video as how it lands , it lands better than i show here.
