Thanks for the great video. Lovely planes in action. Shame about the crashes and damage but that is all part of RC and well done to the guys for doing it. The people making negative comments have no idea how much stress many of the pilots are under: unfamiliar location, spectators watching, high winds, noise and other planes and pilots all around, fixed time slots that have to be adhered to. It really is a lot harder than it seems.
Come on, there was some really bad flying on display there If you go out of your way to excuse it, the pilots will not seek good advice. The public will continue to have a bad impression of. RC flying as a great hobby.

Nope this is classic scale pilot errors. They spend all their time building and not out flying honing their skills. Scale planes are the most difficult types to fly but their pilot builders have the least flight time of anyone else in the club.
I agree that it is easy to say something bad about the landings. I have flown some rc planes and built + flew them myself. Seeing these planes fly and approach for landing makes me think that such big scale planes are actually very tricky to land because they become somewhat unstable and unpredictable on low speeds. The planes are scale models but the air in which they fly is not scaled down and that makes it even more difficult to land. Props to the people who build and fly them
Some beautiful planes but it hurts even when the ugly ones crash.... lol, I feel for all the hours they spent putting it all together & how just a few seconds is the end. Such is life...... peace
Or the real ones either. I flew in my career, not as a pilot but as an observer, doing wildlife studies from the air, counting flocks of birds and such. pure lack of flying skills in 90% of the cases... Rookie error aftewr rookie error. A lot of them seem to be totally unable to judge their apporach speed for example, coming in at a speed that would be more appropriate for a low pass than a landing (BF-109 at the beginning and at least one of the spitfires in the last third) Some simply don't flare, or aren't able to do a stabilized approach and are overcorrecting with elevator all the time instead of using the throttle. Others are just stalling their planes on apporach or even before... It amazes me all the time, how many of those big-scale pilots are simply overburdened with flying their planes. Alle the money, but none of the (required) skills.
One of the navy paintjob jets was rushing. They rushed into the air so much they nearly crashed on takeoff. And rushed to get down enough to crash on landing

After crashing there is nothing that is salvageable for repair. They just jump in their car and drive off afterwards.
Satyan Patel Yea on this channel (which I presume is in Europe), I noticed a lot of these “crashes” are avoidable. The pilot was really experienced too, he'd been flying for thirty years or something. Then, all of a sudden, some idiot turned on his radio without checking if his channel was active: spoiler, it was. The pilot starts screaming that he'd hit interference, but it was too late. Full size runway and they choose to takeoff and land on grass. LOL "Lean the wing into the wind" OR "Wing into the wind - Down" and most issues with all crosswind takeoffs and landings will be just a great fun experience rather than a headache of rebuilding a nice aeroplane............... ✈ ✈ ✈
Yeah it does seem stupid isn't it to takeoff on grass while you still have perfectly build runway. Same stupidity on landing too. Thankgod the real pilots don't do that or what might happen everyday.
Yep, I feel bad for their landing gear. Even on some instances, the plane is screaming "I'm stalling!!!!!" and thoses pilote don't see it. It is frustrating not being close to the pilots to hit their shoulders.....hey buddy wake up !!!!

The worst thing about RC aircraft and drones is landing them or the risk of the engine stalling or something hitting it I had a drone in mid flight and in mid flight a bird almost hit it I caught it on the on board camera so you could see how close to the front right hand motor it was the tip of the wing just missed it literally
Where do these guys come from? I'm serious. They don't have enough sense to practice and make these mistakes with a $200-$400 foamie, as opposed to a 2K-5K piece of equipment.

wow...what a grat flight....great pilot....manny greetz from germany 🙂

*ALARM!!*
*GERMAN BOMBERS DEAD AHEAD*
This video captures my experience in WarThunder
🎵You can alwaayyyys goooo around!🎶
This had me on the edge of my seat . Great mix of some bad days and some really bad days
Full size runway and they choose to takeoff and land on grass. LOL
"Lean the wing into the wind" OR "Wing into the wind - Down" and most issues with all crosswind takeoffs and landings will be just a great fun experience rather than a headache of rebuilding a nice aeroplane............... ✈ ✈ ✈
Yeah it does seem stupid isn't it to takeoff on grass while you still have perfectly build runway. Same stupidity on landing too. Thankgod the real pilots don't do that or what might happen everyday.
Ha ha .............. ☆☆☆☆☆
Yep, I feel bad for their landing gear. Even on some instances, the plane is screaming "I'm stalling!!!!!" and thoses pilote don't see it. It is frustrating not being close to the pilots to hit their shoulders.....hey buddy wake up !!!!
There's a reason why we prefer grass over concrete. But your name says it all 😉
It's to do with how the grass can help with braking (grass more friction), reduce the impact (grass is more squishable than concrete / tarmac)
Ya gotta love to see the passion get shredded in an instant. No body to blame, ha. Awesome. I've been there.
3:12 And he’s okay, ladies and gentlemen!
We can count on the scale pilots to deliver on the crash video compilations.
My first time in an airplane was in an Allegheny Airlines DC3 to BUF. Must be the same pilot in this video
Finally, an airplane crash plane crash compilation I don't feel bad watching.
I love it when the wheel-cap (or the whole wheel) makes a runaway. I have shot a couple those over the years. Good video, Dom. Not really that fun to watch a nice model get wrecked, but it definitely makes for an interesting video. Nice editing as well! Cheers😁👍
Thanks for the feedback Tommy. Worth storing up those odd moments and sharing them in a single vid. People like that type of thing! Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
Guys, HERE is The Savior
YaH The Heavenly FATHER HIMSELF was Who they Crucified/Pierced for our sins and “HERE IS THE PROOF”
From the Ancient Semitic:
"Yad He Vav He" is what Moshe (Moses) wrote, when Moses asked YaH His Name (Exodus 3)
Ancient Semitic Direct Translation
Yad - "Behold The Hand"
He - "Behold the Breath"
Vav - "Behold The NAIL"
One problem I see repeated over and over again is the lack of a good approach.
I guess we can't all be heroes.
Love that Tornado! And the Grumman F9F Cougers and Battle of Britten.
I have to say, been watching a lot of these vids and one thing I can say is the companies that make these r/c landing gear, really suck, they are constantly failing
I love watching these competitions. It's a learning experience and I'm very happy I'm not in one of these videos 🙂
When I was a kid RC planes were small affairs, like not much bigger than Airfix models or something. Not massive monsters like these, half the size of the real thing! :O
Sad to see so many of these beautiful/expensive models getting beat up.
10:12. Panther F9F is awesome!
Number 42 seemed underpowered from the start.
After watching these for years, it always astounds me how many RC pilots don't use proper ground handling in their taildraggers. Always keep full up elevator till the control surface is effective boys. Full up elevator while taxi too, keep that tail wheel on the ground. 11:11
The pilot at 8:40 demonstrates this properly.
that Dakota was something else
It is surely something else after that "landing"..
@@jonnekjonneksson you will note i said 'was'
@@TheDaverobinson I hope that will you also note that I was sarcastic.
@@jonnekjonneksson Awful lot of noting going on here. I noted it.
WOW, some truly fantastic aircraft. The Russian mig 17, just amazing. Very entertaining, keep up the good work.
I know the heartbreak of spending hundreds of hours on an RC plane only to crash land. :(
any crash that you can fly away from is a good one.
Damn RC are awesome
haha....thank you for the fun
The first one was a good belly landing though
maybe it was part of the show, the Bf 109's landing gear was notorious for not being very robust ;-)
Someone’s a fan of Bridges at Toko-Ri. Golden Dragons Panthers, all they needed was a Sikorsky S-51 helo with a miniature Mickey Rooney flying with his green top hat and scarf.
Excelente video y feliz año 2020 desde Chile 🇨🇱🤘😂😂
jose alejandro alvarado boteille that’s the Texas flag 😅
I love these sort of videos ,keep it up 👍🏻
Beautiful planes, but they need someone with some skills to fly them. SHEESH!!!
Agreed. wow terrible
I am stunned at the piloting skills.
Ik they’re terrible
3:33 why is the pilot incapacitated?
No One Had to Run ,Every Ones Safe So it comes with the Love of the Dare I say Sport. And a great one it is The yellow with pink smoke or The pink version of .No I Have seen more of the Bad than good. Ground then!
Thank you Mr Dom Once Again
4:08 Wow! I’ve never seen an RC engine that sounded so realistic! That sounds exactly like it’s a gasoline engine??? The RPM is very very realistic and extremely low compared to all other RC engines I’ve seen. What is the explanation?
Syclone0044 it sounds like a 4 stroke (deeper lower rpm) rather than the 2 stroke (higher faster rpm)
wiederum sehr schöne Aufnahmen, die Verluste der Maschinen sind wohl sehr schmerzlich
“War thunder landing compilation”
Awesome
7:20 The way he flies the plane seems like he's a real pilot.
In a white top
Sick stall. Blue Angel.
3:54 German top secret landing technique caught on visual audio reel.
I love that tempest!
The worst thing about RC aircraft and drones is landing them or the risk of the engine stalling or something hitting it I had a drone in mid flight and in mid flight a bird almost hit it I caught it on the on board camera so you could see how close to the front right hand motor it was the tip of the wing just missed it literally
This has to be the most expensive hobby, given how pretty much everytime, they all crash.
These look so fun to fly
Where do these guys come from? I'm serious. They don't have enough sense to practice and make these mistakes with a $200-$400 foamie, as opposed to a 2K-5K piece of equipment.
Always get comments like this. Amusing but you have to consider this is a compilation. These guys fly at many shows and events throughout the year and these are just the small number of incidents that happen. They are generally few and far between. A compilation may make it seem more frequent. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
They are still making amateur mistakes. At least these are RC planes, not full scale.
@@h3sh926 Most of mistakes do seem very amateurish, makes you think.
@@EssentialRC Perfect answer! Also consider this: "No guts,... no Glory"!!
@@floatingchimney it seems to me that it's just a very difficult thing to do. Even with loads of experience, mistakes will happen when you're stood 200 yards away trying to land a lightweight model with pinpoint precision, by remote.
As a gas powered rc flyer myself, I can state clearly: *getting them airborne is the fun part, but when it comes to landing, then it becomes a whole new damn ballgame*
I worry about equipment failure alot, but there seems to be ALOT of pilot error here...
that second one when he walked over to it i was like... OH! thats huge!
