Ok, sorry but I can't ignore that you pulled a knife out of your sink full of dirty dishes, didn't wash it, AND THEN USED IT TO CHOP STUFF FOR YOUR RECIPE!! 🤢🤮 Are you serious?!? I can't... I just can't!

Garlic is measured with the heart until the spirit of an ancestor whispers « that’s enough child ». That’s my measure. :)

I broadcast radish seeds in my garden in between plants. It’s great to prevent weeds, and you harvest the radishes or greens as needed. Plus, the long icicle radishes bring up deep soil nutrients. Whatever I don’t harvest I till in in the fall. Moreover, the bees love the flowers.

Bulk daikon radish seeds - sold as a cover crop - have been doing well for me in a similar fashion. And if they go to seed, the pods are edible and easy to harvest.

When you said you were going to “doll up” the soup a bit, I felt so tickled, because my Grandma would use that term.

For garlic cloves, I measure them as such: when a recipe says use two cloves of garlic, I use at least four cloves instead. You can never have too much!

This time I used beat greens, a bit of carrot greens, a bit of beat greens and some kale...
Also I added about 12 thai green chilli peppers, basil, ginger...
And topped it with sea salt, a bunch of different peppers and stuff I put in my pepper mil and some mint.
This is such a great approach to using the "tops" from the garden!!!!

I’m so glad I found your channel! I was looking for what to do with radish greens from my garden. I’d tried to make green soups before but they always fell kind of flat-but yours was so good! I used half garlic mustard from our woods because I didn’t have enough radish greens. I think what makes yours so much better is the amount of garlic, the nutmeg, and the cider vinegar. You’ve inspired me to try the homemade mayo tomorrow…I’m a Kenji fan, too, but I’ve never gotten around to it.

Garlic flavor is personal. If you tell me "3 medium cloves", I'm good. Why dirty something else just to measure garlic? Besides, I rarely measure anything unless it's absolutely necessary & that's usually candy or desserts and I don't eat sugar any more so no more of that. Thanks for 4 great ideas! We have a garden full of radish tops and I had no idea what to do with them.

If you're using minced garlic, spoon measurements are convenient enough - heck, you'd need them for a conversion to clove measurements anyway. But yeah - precision with garlic isn't required for much of anything.
