I'm so happy to see full Metal furries receive some love! I love this game so much, such a unique and charming game. I did a whole modding framework try to keep the game alive. Unfortunately, life and money forced me to put the project into hiatus.

I love it too! Played it with my brother and a friend, but we never finished it. That sounds cool. Was that project ever available to the public?

@@ClassicCo-op sort of. It is on github.
But I never actually did a formal release.
My goal was custom characters, to play with my sis. However, Cellar door was nice enough to provide me their internal the character and level creators, which they asked me to not release to the public. So some part of the framework cannot go public. Still, many things can be done with it.

I didn't expect to suddenly be interested in Captain Toad, but it may have to go on my to do list.

Heya, love your channel, making a big ol' list of co-op games. What I'd love to see is a video for child-friendly or easy co-op games. My five-year-old is easily frustrated when things get more difficult. Kirby games are mostly relatively easy; also Goof Troop I remember from my childhood, shouldn't be too hard. But there's also mechanics in other games that make games a lot more accessible. For example in the Trine series, the second player can just jump in and out at any time, which is what my kid does when things get too dangerous or he isn't able to make some tricky platforming: He just presses a button twice and immediately he appears at my location. Stuff like that, so it doesn't necessarily have to be super-simple games. Anyway, a vid like that would be cool :)

Thanks for the comment! Goof troop is an all time favorite of mine! I have a six year old daughter so I’m always trying to find more games to play with her. So far, Mario 3d world and Mario Wonder are some favorites. She loves Kirby as well. There’s an indie game called Voyage that she really liked. It’s an artsy game without much challenge, but it’s a really solid experience. I’ve tried some old games and she is less interested. But she did enjoy Toejam and Earl, Secret of Mana, and Pocky and Rocky. But those aren’t exactly easy games to play with a kid. I’ll work on something soon! But I did make a video for best co-op family games of 2023. Maybe you’ll want to check that one out.

@@ClassicCo-op My kid's favorite is Kirby and the Forgotten Land; it's also one of my own fav games of recent years to be honest :D
Mario 3D World was too hard for him; he hates games with precise platforming (where you can fall to your death) and time limits make him panic, lol. Secret of Mana is definitely on the list (though for now maybe too complicated in battles) and I love Pocky and Rocky, but damn, that game is even too difficult for me :P
Thanks, I'll check that co-op family games of 2023 out.

"A way out" was such a waste of my 60 bucks...it has a very cool story, but lack in gameplay, its moslty cutcens and very basic qte segment.

My only problem with the game was the end. The game is a coop point n click. If don't like point n click, you will probably not like the game

It feels like a proof of concept. It Takes Two is so much better in every way.

@@seriouskano2 i finished it take 2, but not sure what i feel about it, some levels were just boring and it felt too long..but the game mechanics were good.

That’s surprising to hear. It’s one of my all time favorite co-op games.
