Tbh in this vid he doesn’t seem as polished as I would have hoped he would be. I know he said he’s focusing more on his channel but I really hope he puts in a good bit of practice to get all his tricks up to scratch and isn’t rusty going in. Would be such a shame for him not to do as well as everyone knows he can.

Jonny you can totally have a rule made after you. After reviewing the rules, it doesn't say anything about stalls. No feet on the ground etc, no malto manual shit...but you can totally flip into a casper stall/slide and flip out without breaking any of the rules. Would be hard to do but if you pulled it off there would be a new "no jonny giger casper shit" rule. Just food for thought. You could go down in BATB history lol... I'm rooting for you btw!!! @@Peksisarvinen Don’t be salty, just coz Jonny couldn’t do the basics doesn’t mean prod won in a boring way. Normally the best and most interesting games are when they go through a lot of the basics to warm up and then start busting crazy shit later on. And to be fair to prod, Jonny didn’t even land enough for it to get to that stage. No one wants to see a game that’s over in 2 minutes because someone just one person did 5 late flip variations in a row. It’s like a tennis match, you want some back and forth to build up the tension before someone pulls out a smash. And a switch heel is a perfectly reasonable trick to throw and I doubt paul even expected it would get Jonny a letter. If you can’t land basic switch tricks you shouldn’t even be in BATB in my opinion.
It's a shitty move to only do tricks like pressure flips or late flips. For example if someone wins doing 5 pressure flip variations it's obviously going to be frowned upon

Like when they get them with a simple switch pop shuv it, or the dreaded varial flip, which most pros are too cool to even practice.
Jonny, your skill set alone makes you one of my favorite skaters of all time but what really seals the deal is your mindset. Your determination to never give up when you are trying a new trick no matter how long it takes you, your positive attitude, and your standards (even if you land a trick that lots of people would accept you’ll then blow my mind and say you’re going to do it again and land it until it’s perfect). All of this is hugely motivating in skateboarding but also in life. You’re also a really good guy. I know I don’t know you but you’re just a really kind, honest, hardworking, inspirational individual. I think it’s because of your kindness that you don’t use some of your insane tricks because you might feel that it wouldn’t be fair to the other guys. I know there’s a general unspoken rule to a game of SKATE where people start off with basic tricks and I get it, but where you really shine is your INSANELY difficult tricks that almost no one else can do. Having said that, I know that some of your crazy tricks might as easy to do first try (or maybe they are for you) but I would suggest doing the difficult ones that you know you can do more consistently. I’ve been a huge fan of yours for a really long time and I’m rooting for you dude. Best of luck.

When the influencers bracket came I thought "man, I hope Jonny Giger Is invited" and when I saw your name, I felt really happy! I don't know how this is going to end, but I want you to have fun and enjoy, that new people see you and start following you and if the things work out, you advance at least some rounds.
