If I was 19 or 20 I would be trying hard to get into your school. The amount of knowledge you impart just in these videos is amazing. Please talk sometime about the school. The way you touch the horses you work on shows the depth of care and kindness you feel for them. Farrier work is not just a job for you, it is something you were born to do. Thank you.
Interesting shoeing on this horse! That crack looked like it would be a bigger problem. And spiffy new shoes for you, too! Congrats on the sponsorship.
Amazing job. It's so wonderful that you ❤️ horses so much. And passing on all your knowledge to younger people is awesome 👌 👏 👍 😍. Thank you to the camera person for doing such a wonderful job 😀
Absolute piece of art! Time and again I'm totally amazed by your craftsmanship. If I were anywhere near Idaho (which unfortunately I ain't as I'm basically halfway around the world away), I'd definitely enroll for one of your courses!
Truthfully I had no idea what a Ferrier did except horse shoes. Watching you and seeing all the things you consider for each individual horse is amazing. If your students learn and do what you teach them, thats a lot of happier horses. Horses are such special creatures.
Love these later longer videos. Great craftmanship and so nice to see the horses being taken care of. Would be great to see a follow up sometime if possible(?) on some of the more complicated ”cases” where there are longer regrowth processes involved etc.
Oh geeze, if you like this, watch Nate the Hoof Guy. His videos are exactly like this, simple and calm and packed full of knowledge and information. No dumb music or lifestyle crap, just professional, compassionate hoof care. NTHG. Nate the Hoof Guy. Check him out!
I'm not a horse person. I went horseback riding that's about it. But I am an animal lover and watched a couple of your shows on TH-cam. I was in ahh how good you make these horses look and I know they feel much better. You sir have a new fan keep up the Great work....
I'm actually surprised how straightforward this trim and shoeing was. Based on the thumbnail, I thought it was there was going to end up being treatment for an infection along with a specialized shoe.
"Happy spot"... going Bob Ross mode here? 😂 Edit: Congrats on the sponsor and beautiful ad drop. Will be interesting to see if the company uses a screenshot for a catalog page or trade paper ad. 😊
Wow! What an awesome job! You sure are the master of your craft, I could watch you make horseshoes all day long, so skillful, and that sure is one beautiful looking horse, love his colouring, thank you very much for posting, and everything you wonderful guys and gals do for these magnificent animals, take care.👍💙🐎🐎
It would be helpful if you talked a bit about how the hoof came to be in this condition. I have never seen this sort of "compaction" in a hoof. Is it natural or an issue of care? How can it be avoided? Thx.
If the hoof was hard and dry, it's likely the horse developed a small crack and just chipped the hoof off on something. He also mentions that the horse has a thin wall, so its even easier to crack/chip the hoof
First time I've seen the trick with the blow torch to soften the sole, Iwas taught by my Grandfather who used a heated iron plate for the same effect, and I agree that your students should know how to form a shoe from scratch, premade shoes will not always give the desired result, If I happened to be starting my career again now I'd be considering Farrier/Blacksmith as I think the crafts could be needed in the not too distant future.
I love your channel. I wish you would make more. Your video guy is excellent. Equal to your own skills. I just wish TH-cam had a Super Like button. Love your channel.
You are a fine crafts man. The hooves look bonza. For the poor horses ❤❤and their bad feet. I am glad these poor beasts get a few months out of them. More if only on good grass. I just heard you say you are in a school. If they have you there there will be decent lessons. No if the bad one can get good grass to walk on its all A1. Now at the end, job very well done and your gentleness with this lad is excellent. Thank you.🎉🎉🎉❤😊
i enjoy watching you make a shoe sir 👍🏻.. im sure its been said alot but... how these horses stay calm standing on 3legs while a mans doing major construction repair on his foot!
C'est de l'art au sens noble du terme. Des faiseurs de miracles pour ces pauvres chevaux negligés par leurs maîtres. Bravo pour votre travail d'expert.
I am not a horse owner or rider, but I am full of admiration for this man's work and have enjoyed many of his videos. I am curious though, I don't see any ear defenders when he is working at the anvil. I have to think a lifetime of making horse shoes is going to have long term negative effects on his hearing. Am I missing something?
Wonderful job. It looks like with regilar hoofcare the horse will thrive and have healthy hooves. Please, if you can, show followup care. I am an MD and I love to see how my patients look after I've sutured their wounds.
i was just wondering, if you cut so much off the one hoof, isn’t it off kilter with the other foot? or do you make up for that with a thicker shoe? thanks 🐴🌷🌱
“I am stuck under this horse and I can’t feel a thing” is the best sales pitch I’ve ever heard for a work boot 😂
That sentence made my day❤ I literally want to buy the boot now 😂😂
That’s what she said.

Great job as always! You are a very talented and experienced man. The hard work in the past pays high dividends. Fantastic ferrier!!
This farrier is awesome ! Really enjoy watching how you decide what to do to help this horse . Love the beard too

Watching you and THE HOOF GP is amazing. Ya'll 2 are awesome.

That is amazing, each time I watch y'all help a hoof, I am totally in awe and respect.
I was stunned he could hold his balance while you had his hoof up. Beautiful temperament too. Blessings to him and you.❤
1 of the best TH-cam channels
The skill, talent, and knowledge......amazes me every time
Amazing work as always, and might I also say a decent way to incorporate a sponsor as well? That there's definitely proof they work *grin*
Enjoyed the hoof repair and nice that you are trying out the Brunt boots, had looked them up and people seem to like the quality.
You make some really great shoes, I really enjoy watching your channel, and seeing how you help these horses. Good looking boots by the way
Outstanding boot review. Awesome work for the horse… as always. 😊

GREAT JOB...🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 the horse almost fell asleep. You are very good.
I appreciate the blacksmithing building your own shoes. It is an art that needs to be shown more.
Great knowledge and craftsmanship. Thanks for the lesson.

Amazing to watch! You do good work! Thank you for sharing this!
Great work on the horse.
Nice demo on the boots as well 🤠

Handling the horse and making em comfortable so impressive.

Awesome farrier work. This horse is very lucky he found you.
Grats on the sponsor :) love watching you work, brilliant smithing! 🙌
So very interesting. Thank you.
It's just a pleasure watching you work, we have many farriers here in South Africa but no more blacksmiths our horse shoes all factory made

Do you work on all feet on these horses? Seems like silly question but never see you working on other hoofs. But the job looked great.
Beautiful looking boots you got on made in America!
Such awesome work! Great teaching.
How long have you been doing this from Linda from Saint Louis Missouri have a nice day❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great work, and trying your best to keep the horse as comfortable as possible.
Hai fatto un lavoro bellissimo!

Girl horses, gossiping: Whew! He just got his nails did, and they're looking good!
Him: Oh yeah. He torched them. That's why.

That’s absolutely amazing work. Going far straight piece of metal to a hand made horseshoe.
Thank you for the awesome video ❤❤❤❤❤
Very nice! Was this horse rideable after this?
Have you ever had to put a horse in a body sling to support them while you worked their hooves Sir?
👍👍👍
YOU ARE SOOOOO GOOD @ WHAT YOU DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do take care. Fl.
I wonder if you have ever addressed if you have a horse that over reaches with rear hooves?
That is a beautiful toe clip and shoe overall. Nice camera work too🐴
its crazy the difference from how cows are done vs horses
Yes, I don't the think a horse would have the patience for being in a crush. They're wired differently and would go ballistic.
Cows are more Zen.
WoW! Beau travail et super fit!
What did kind of product did you rub over the hoof at the end before using the buffer?
Is it sick, how is the horse doing now
11:45 I thought that the custom shoes were chosen since not all horses are the same. And The making your own gave you more options to work with.
I met a farrier who never burned the shoes onto the feet. Do you ever not use a hot shoe to fit.
All the time. I shoe hot, cold, and even glue on sometimes depending on what the horse needs
Beautiful animal. Great work
Your amazing 😊
That sponsor product is awesome. Good video .
