    Small end of rod goes toward cover. Not towards engine.

    Just to clarify, what is stamped on the side of the engine for oil capacity is 2.0l which means 2.0 liters, not quarts. These vehicles are Japanese and like most countries OTHER than the U.S., they use the metric system. 2 liters is 2.11338 quarts, so plan on having 3 quarts available for that little bit extra. Buying a little more oil is definitely better than having to replace a burned out engine! :-)

    I changed oil in my 220 bayou and a while later oil leaked around the left side of the engine. Could installing the center tube in the filter cause this?

    Hey 1beastlydude I have the same atv I just got it and need to do some minor fixes like a new choke cable a new ignition. Is there a certain place to get the parts or a trusty site that has parts to buy online?

    • @1beastlydudefixbreakrepeat
      @1beastlydudefixbreakrepeat  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Edward Figueroa most of the time I ebay my parts, just go for the people with the best seller ratings.. sometimes I'll get parts from cheap cycle parts

    • @edwardfigueroa5358
      @edwardfigueroa5358 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Okay because I was going to get some parts from ebay but I guess that's not the "best place" get parts

    • @1beastlydudefixbreakrepeat
      @1beastlydudefixbreakrepeat  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Edward Figueroa it depends on who your buying from on ebay.. if all they do is sell parts and have a good rep then they are fine...if it's some random person that only sells shoes and China goods then move along

      Bike Bandit, Motorcycle Superstore, RonAyers, Dennis Kirk, among others. Rocky Mountain ATV.... Thats where I get my most of my Kawasaki parts.

    Now I am confused. Just got a used Wheeler doing a oil change. I took the oil filter out but it looks nothing like the one you took out??!!! It's not a filter one. It didn't come with a manual. First time owning a four-wheeler and learning how to maintain it myself. Please be nice.

    Run the bike for a few minutes and you'll have to add another half a quart.

    I heard you must replace the drain plug every time as well or it will leak. I see you didn't. Is this true or not? I have a 91 klf 220 bayou.

    • @LORDJESUSATV
      @LORDJESUSATV 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no not true only the crush washer. if you don't have a crush washer you can use Teflon thread tape

    OK, I'm three videos in to this and I still dont know which way to point that notch inside the cover. I noticed you actually flipped it around so maybe it doesnt really matter? When you took it off the boot mark was in front. I believe that is the normal position of the boot mark. i also believe the notch was DOWN. Another video shows the notch UP with same boot marks on the front of the cover. A third video didnt even show that part, LOL.
