Christmas Eve 82: A bunch of Vietnam veterans started the Vietnam Veterans Vigil for POW and MIAs 24 hours 7 day's 365 days for 20 years. I went back every 2 years meet a lot of Brother Nam vets there.
I served in the centrail highlands around pleiku ,ankhe, and crossed the border at Dak-tko. B co. 1st plt. 10th Armored calvery (recon) 4th inf. div.. A place i will never forget. 1969
So many words to say to all veterans and the women that helped our soldiers to heal . The best two words I can say to you all is Thank you . Also I want to say again thank you for giving me freedom and for the Vietnamese people to have the freedom. Vietnam would have not be the way it is today if it wasn't for you men. For all the families that lost a love one. The world is a lesser place without them. I am proud to a American and God Bless America. Welcome Back Home men because you all should have deserve welcome back home when you men came back.
You are right when you say that Vietnam wouldn't be today without first the French and then the Americans murdering Vietnamese people who only wanted their freedom and running their own country without being told by a foreign power what to do. Instead of being proud to be American you people should hang your head in shame for all the atrocities caused and not just in Vietnam but Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, Cuba, Chile. The list is endless and will get longer by the day.
Alpha 1/9 Marines the Walking Dead in the A Shau valley in 69 Operation Dewey Canyon 0331 it smelled of slow death in those jungles of malaria nightmares
well not exactly true. some of us in VN had physical problems and served anyway. We did not have the pleasure of Military School like the toe coward did.

we were..so young & proud then…doing what.we had to do.53 yrs later old men. with families & grandchldren….something that was denied to many🦅🇺🇸😪😎

When I return in 68 there was a lot of protest going on than to serve as I did it was a terrible mess to witnes was more afraid than I was over there
