69-89, retired EOC, Why didn't we build that wall ?
Ect!!!
18 Months in Vietnam, 1967-1968 Served with USN MCB 133- A-Co 5th Platoon. Honorably discharged 1969. God Bless the Seabees of our Navy.
Signed my contract for CE and I can’t wait to go to basic and A school to officially become a Seabee
We will go and check things out this coming weekend
NMCB 5 is the one home I miss. My prayers to all the Bees in harm's way and our veteran friends from 5 and NMCB 40.
Uct
I was stationed at Port Hueneme NMCB3. Entered August 1974 and became a CE. Best mistake I have ever made in my life. I continue with the pride as an engineer in my own remodeling business called Seabee Home Services, Inc.
I was a Navy Seabee. CBU-405 & NMCB-5 I had a wonderful experience building many things. I gotta say though that when I was in (85-96) we did not want to look like other branches. OD Green was boring but at least we did not look like Marines. Happy Birthday my brothers.
CM2 Seabee 77'-78' Diego Garcia Base Support field mechanic, 78'-82' NMCB 74 Gulfport, MS....Guam, Sigonella Sicily, Roosevelt Roads.....Chief O'Neill, Scott, Broasty, Rickey J and Jessie W.
I was on the Rock, as an EO2 in Alpha company. MNCB 133.
My pops was a seabee frogman blowing things up in ww2. At his funeral I found out he was part of what the navy seals would become. He didn't tell me much about the war he told he blew things up including several war ships. This was part of the war we don't hear much about in the west indies. He said they wear war supply ships that was running supplies for the german wolf pack submarines and war supplies. He also built a highway that is still quite popular on the island of Trinidad wear he was stationed and met my mother. He was a big 6ft3 of a man with hands the size of grizzly and he used them several times. He was the go to man against some marines that thought it was fun beating up sailors. Including the marine boxing champion. He even whent as far to dress up as a marine officer and go into there side of the base to get one of them. They chased him afterwards but couldn't catch him on his Indian motorcycle that he flew from Florida to the island of Trinidad in the bomb rack of a B-17 with himself hanging next to it in a hammock 😂 He said it turned into quit serious event of trying to find the sailor who put on a marine officer uniform got onto there base and beat up one of there marines and put him in the hospital. He told me this story in the 70s he said they were probably still trying to find him. 😮 Love and miss you pops ❤
Remember Marines may gaurd the gates of hell, but Seabees built the road to the gates.....
I was stationed at ACB-1 FROM 13 NOVEMBER 2003 THROUGH 30 JUNE 2009 as a boatswains mate working with the barge operations. ACB-1 HAD THE BARGE FERRIES THAT were used in WW2-THROUGH 2006 then we started to upgrade to the INLS FERRIES. INLS stands for IMPROVED NAVY LIGHTERAGE SYSTEM.
It's a small city! Absolute gorgeous! My husband passed away and I want to see if widows can apply. I am not remarried and am self sufficient. ❤
Worked here in 2011 in the Recreation department.
I was in NMCB-1 during the veitnam war. Great outfit.
After Seeing The Seabee I See No Evidence Using Bomb Explosive Demolitions Not The Combat Engineer Explosive 🇺🇸💪🏻⚓️🪖💣🧨
Our unit( MNCB133 ) used a rock drill to bore holes at low tide, then used dynamite to blast the coral reefs to make runways.
NMCB74 , Cco, Bco, and Airdet went in at 18 and it has shaped who I am to this day. I wouldn’t trade the 18 hour days for anything, Can Do
I was CM from Gulfport,Ms. I'm proud to have been trained to work on all the equipment that I did, because I took that knowledge with me and made a career of it. I'm very blessed to have served beside a great group of people and will always remember each and every one.
Sometimes...every single darn day, I ask myself what the heck have I been doing here? Getting bullied by family and breaking my back with no appreciation. At least some are free of that and build things up instead of getting destroyed. Keep up the great work, Seabees!
I was an EO, And I always got the best rooms when I traveled. I just told people I was an E,. O3.
I was a CB 1965/1969 heavy equipment operator in Dong Ha, Vietnam 1968/69, it was a wonderful experience in my life.
would love to join
Nmcb 40 in California was decommissioned a few years ago.theyll be back.gonna need em with the Chinese threat.gotta build up our Pacific bases again
Most of these navy civil engineer corps officers never served in a cb battalion.they sat in Norfolk or port hueneme in air conditioned offices designing shit the battalions built while on regular deployment
NMCB 62 ...81-86
Hey NMCB too 😮
UCT
For retiree's or can DAV's qualify?
I think they can!
I ALWAYS get a nostalgic feeling after watching these. Been There - Did That! Lived It - Loved It! and I wouldn't trade it!
Strange to see female SEABEES, lol 😆 we had none and did not need them in the battalions. Battalions were considered a combat force. I guess a girl can be a seal 🦭 🤷 also lol.
Females came into battalions around 93.some were good some not.
None of them could work on a bridge unless they had major help.they wanted equal opportunity and weren't so happy when they got it.alot different than the public works gravy duty they were doing b4 then
My papa was apart of the seabees, he told me all about it, I was around 4 when he started working in pearl harbour, i remember him coming home all sweaty. When they didn’t need him anymore he decided to become a builder/constructer. So proud of my papa.
Of harlots they arey missing in action. Sobs. We. Are the guns. And do lay roses in memorial. Even tho there ain't no graves
I'm not pow miss. Or pow wiws but I do study it mias. Ain't Jerusalem they are peace not wars Indians in Zion her step moms. Harlot the problem.
WOW looks awesome!
I was a Seabee at Chu Lai, SVN and also at Roosy Roads, Puerto Rico. I'd do it all over again. Builder 3rd Class. M
Amen brother 😎
God bless the 🦭
Yes sir sw3 74-78 can do and did
My late father was a sw2 in the seabees he served ww2 Korea and Vietnam he loved his time in the navy
Thanks so much for this video. It gives a very clear perspective of what the facility is like and how spacious the rooms are. I've been eyeing the AFRH-G for a few years as a likely landing spot if I find myself alone again.
