@@MR3DDev Thank you! Yes for sure change the oil shortly after you get possession of it. If you check out my other video you can see why it’s very important to do so. What color/spec did you order?
@8:09 FYI: 6.4 liter oil is for the AWD version (I think it's the only way the IS350 comes in Canada) - here in the US we can also get the rear wheel drive (8-speed transmission) IS350 F Sport and it only takes 5.7 liter (6quarts) of engine oil.
@@chasinglimits The ISF and the IS 500 got the AA80E transmission (the world's first 8-speed transmission), the one in the RWD 350 is the AA81E. Very similar and IS500 and IS350 got the same final drive ratio (3.133). I just got my RWD 2024 IS 350 F Sport (same color as yours) two months ago and your video helped me doing the first oil change. Thanks for that!
@@northbee15 That’s good glad it helped! Yea I really wish we had the RWD option with the 8 speed, would be such a better driving machine, I had a 2010 ISF before and loved how it drove and shifted so crisp, it was a wild beast!
@@chasinglimits Never drove an ISF but heard the same thing from previous owners. Checked some of your other videos - I too have a 2021 4Runner TRD Pro (lunar rock): two matching cars --> subscribed 🙂
@@gregthesplintercell It’s really not that bad. Plus trusting someone to do your oil change these days is a gamble, putting in wrong oil or saying they did it and they don’t, I’ve had that happen before.
This was not a "how to change the oil" but more watch me change the oil and I will show you what I removed. . You edited the "changing" portion. How to remove the plug? How to remove the cover plate will it fall on the floor, How to remove the filter without spilling it on the texture floor mat. Thus I am not sure why you need the jack how much room is under the car. But I am mostly here to comment That Jack should not make any noise. Also I do not know why you see anything in the old oil, The oil should be clean with only particles in the 30 micron or smaller.
@@danc2014 I’m sure most people can follow the steps I took to do it. I would assume they would know how to remove the drain plug, etc. As for the jack, it was for sure needed to lift it up as the car is too low to get under with no jack. It’s quite normal for the old oil to have some particles as it’s the second oil change since new, first time there was more so eventually it will be clean coming out.
Always loved the body design on these cars. Great diy video 👍

Getting mine hopefully this week (is in transit) so this is the first thing I needed to learn. Thanks for the info

@@northbee15 Yes you are right. Unfortunately we only get the awd as the only option. I believe the 8 speed is borrowed from the ISF or IS500 now?

How many miles on one oil change till the next one please help thanks
@@Shaq12007 I normally do an oil change every 8000 kms (5000 miles).
That's a lot of work. No wonder why most people just pay to have it done.
