- update overheating wasnt due to the gallery gaskets my gauge was messed up, the power loss and other issues was due to internal damage from running low oil pressure for too long
not the gallery gaskets themselves but this is what can happen if not taken care of quickly.
Hopefully this helps someone out there
*Update* most all these issues were due to internal damage from low oil pressure and not the gaskets themselves! This is what can happen if left unattended to long! First warning signs will be if your psi drops below 15 at idle!

@@zygi22 oil pressure was low because of gaskets, I was trying to say not all things I described are direct symptoms of gasket failure it was engine damage because of the gasket failure causing alot of my problems described.

I think I have to do mine on my 08 HR.... think I had a little bit of metal in the filter an oil change ago, didn’t look too close and dropped the filter in the oil bucket right away but I think there was some in it. I also have a weird idle, and what feels almost like a miss but it’s not a dead miss at times. No oil pressure gauge, going to check it soon. For anyone wondering why oil pressure causes these symptoms, essentially the vvt is not working properly so it’s like the car is running with a performance cam all the time. This causes the unstable idle, and the slight misfires as the valve timing is incorrect for the conditions the engine is running in. I always like to know the why behind an issue, so figured I’d share.
What is the metal from?

Your coolant temp is a little high too, did you check that out as well? Or just faulty sensor
The gauge was bad I just never got around to fixing it

I had this with codes P0011 and P0021 in a DE Altima, it isn't only for HRs.
I see you have a another intake. Replace to the factory instead. Aftermarket intake make high pressure to the engine and blow gasket. Good Video 👍Nice car 😎

I had the same issue with my DE. just change the VVT solenoid and it ran fine. gallery gasket issues are only for 07 HR and up
De’s can have blown gallery gaskets as well ive seen it happen with my own experience
If a motor has a seal or gasket regardless of the year it was made they will all go out eventually as everything has a service life.

My car has 15psi oil at idle once hot but besides that have none of these symptoms could it just be oil i use 5w30
I have an 03 and it has all these issues EXCEPT mine idles/runs really well. Thought it was this but today I changed the oil and metal bits came out :(

Mine has decent oil pressure, but all the same symptoms
I have the same problem I change every sensor in the engine oem from concept z and still have this code p0021 and random misfire p0300 the oil pressure its good but car start and shut down after 4 minutes and not start after 10 or 20 minutes
That sounds like it could be the cam or crank sensor? You look into that? I realised after making this video that most these symptoms didnt come from my gallery gasket itself but after the damage had been done from low oil pressure and I was loosing compression,for you though that really sounds like the cam or crank sensors though
I have an 06 zed with 138,000 miles and its fine. I'm happy not have that problem since mile1. Does your oil pressure need past 60psi on cold starts?
Normally it will be at 60psi on cold starts, you will know if you ever have a galley gasket issue because if there blown it will never go past like 5psi and when you red line it it wont go past 30psi
At high revs it’s supposed to be almost 120

Where is the Oil light ?
For me it only came on when the car is fully warmed up! But It will be on the left side of the dash if your asking generally and if I'm remembering correctly
@@zleviz3376 ok ow because the oillight is supose to show up when have low oilpressure. I have g37 and i drop the pan and see some of the gallery gasket there but no oil light
@@GODiscomingsoonagain yes exactly! Yeah I'd say that's not a good sign, does your oil pressure sensor Work? If so you should be around 15psi at idle, if it is working and no oil light it's probably only a matter of time, if you find the right shop it's normally cheaper just to swap with a used engine, that's what I did in this one but I sold shortly after and got a 370z.
@@zleviz3376 i dont know if the sensor work but for now i will not drive it anymore to prevent the worst but i must order the gasket from ebay and then make a appointment to do the work.

Ok yeah I changed out everything except the gallery gasket still have a rough idle and low oil pressure of course
I have the same code even tho I changed everything so I think it’s the gallery gaskets that’s causing us the same thing
