@@carlosperezofficial7677 Front of engine disassembly went well. Must be very methodical in labelling bolts and brackets. The worst part was disconnecting the pwr str cooler. After 45 mins I cut the flex lines. We are now waiting for parts to arrive. Repair and reassembly should be a breese.
@@citizengroovesboogienation2242 I get that Im a year late on this comment , but this might help other people as well lol... When disassembling, Take a piece of carboard. Draw the shape of your engine, and shove the bolts in the cardboard drawing where you took them out from. Makes it way easier than trying to label shit in bags.
i was having p0011 and p0021 errors and oil pressure was almost half of what it must be... bought gaskets on z1motorsports.com and got installed yesterday... tomorrow i am going to check oil pressure again... hope it will fix my issue
@@deusvult9349 yep not that easy... i didn't do it by myself... i had mechanic do it for me... i was watching the process... gasket were in very bad condition... havent had problems since... got about 4500 miles after that
@@Nika-ro4er I don't blame you for calling in a mechanic to help you cause there's a lot going on with a job of that size. Just out of curiosity, what did your mechanic charge you in total?
Great video, it’s always nice to see a skilled mechanic at his work
If only every car video was this straight to the point and showed everything
This was honestly the best timing chain video for the vq thx so much straight to the point, all the others dont explain shit
Getting ready to do this work with my son on his Z. Very informative. We'll use it as a reference when we get going. Good job.
How did the process go? I plan on doing it to mine as well with the timing chain.

Take pictures before you remove anything and you won’t need to worry about labeling everything

Torque spec on oil gallery gasket covers? Can’t find anything anywhere
you ever find it?
What do I do if I didn’t adjust the cams to put it to top dead center before taking off timing chain
thinking about doing this on mine would i have to replace anything else or just the gaskets
What are the o-rings called @10:33
Did you find any of the gasket in the oil pan
How did you know that was the problem, any diagnostic code ? Any sintom
Low oil pressure and probably losing lots of oil
I have a VHR and wanting to do this before they go. Ballpark what’s a estimate quote a shop would give?
from what i've seen other VHR and HR owners ask, most common price they get is around 1k - 1.2k

@@Thablockkid would you suggest changing anything else while you are in there? I have the gallery gaskets, and the small Timing Cover O-ring.
What other gaskets are in there that could leak oil? I have to do this with my z and my mechanic said 800 for just removing the front end 😂
You're lucky .. I'm in Georgia and it's 2.2k to have it done at z1 and other shops. Nissan wants 1.5k
@@Ty_XP you ain’t lying I gotta replace mine as well but it’s expensive asf is you take it to a shop
How much would a mechanic would charge me for this job?
I’m not sure because every shop will differ on their prices.
I guess, Nissan shop is around 3k and small no name shop around 2k.
If we lived in the same place i would of charge 1200$
Holy chit
Fml I’m not looking forward to doing this.
