I still don’t think that it was necessary.

The timing of this is impeccable given the grand scheme of France right now lol

    Great video 👍
Also a great starting project. I made a French Nail forging video a few years ago and after attempting to slash pumpkins, I can confirm that the Nail is not a great slicing knife. 😂

That's a cool project. He did good on his first time forging. Always good to see younger folks take an interest in history.

I love the aesthetic of the French Nail. It's beautiful just like a Sten submachine gun is. It's reduced to its absolute bare minimum parts.

Tell him don't forget to drop the rifle the next time he is acting like a French soldier

hey Brandon if he's supposed to be a frog in that shouldn't he have a white flag and being running away from the Germans? actually i've seen some of those in person (4 to be exact!) and i don't think that a standard size item! i saw a quarter inch one up to a 7/8th's one so i think it was whatever was laying around they could use size things!

That’s a cool bit of history. Surprised it wasn’t done before say in the war of northern aggression or the first crimean war?

no trenches before Petersburg and i'm sure it was just not on a noticeable scale as WW1!

Lol are you English ?? I'm from GA , I know England sided with the rebels in the American Civil War. I have seen photos of knuckle dusters that the southern troops made in the 1860s. "Johnny Reb" gets a bad rap for "fighting for slavery " . They were dirt poor those soldiers, just like the south still is. They weren't fighting for any high ideals....
