Casey thanks for telling Doug's story in more detail. I've just been travelling and came across a theatre built in the 1930s that the town's government recently had the sense to buy back and restore to its glory and it is a focal point for this small town and regional area that brings people together to share culture. Streaming services keep people apart. But at least this one enables people from all walks of life, like us, to connect. You tell the stories that others don't even notice. Thanks.
Also noticed that, although he flew straight through NY to Texas? That's pretty darn far even for a turbo prop. Must have taken a decent amount longer than just a PJ
There are some real videography gold nuggets in this one (as usual): - 0:54 a regular person just does a zoom-in on that screen, Casey makes that vertigo zoom effect by moving the camera in while increasing the FOV (in reality the camera moves a lot further than it seems). Of course, he does this one handed while pointing at the screen. He also re-recorded reading the headline with a camera facing him, so he could cut between. - 10:49 there are a million ways you can cut between Doug thanking the crowd, and back to narration at the studio. Freeze-framing it on a screen and cutting to filming that screen so it looks like the camera pops out from the theatre into his studio, is perhaps the most creative (yet still pleasing) way to do it. There are no TH-cam vlogs quite like a Casey vlog.

I strongly agree with Doug. I am 21 years old and have vivid memories of my childhood going to movie theaters with friends and families. The big screen and audio systems do movies so much more justice than streaming services. As I have gotten older it seems as though there has been an abrupt drop off in large notable movies releasing, especially in theaters. I remember being at family dinners during the holidays and hearing my relatives talk about what movies were great this year and what they are excited to see. This new streaming age, which is good in many ways, is unfortunately killing this beautiful thing - the big screen. Not only does it hurt the viewers and experience of going to the theatre, it negatively impacts the most important thing, the artist behind it all. Thanks for another cool video Casey. The big screen is dead and dying, as far as I am concerned. We each have a big screen in our homes today. Thanks Casey
THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU, MUCH LOVE CASEY!!!
Casey's vlogs are so inspiring! His storytelling skills are second to none
Man! Caseys videos are just super informative and goes above and beyond to tell the story! He does it all so well!
This was an amazing movie Casey. You can really see the heartbreak in Doug, never heard of this guy before but the way he handled this was awesome. Thank you
It's when you see these perspectives that you know it's not about the money. It's about the art
I've never edited clips into a short film, I've rarely filmed my life. Thank you for making the movie bc I like this version. Everyone wants to compare the film to the original. It's not the original, it's the new age. So thank you.
I love how you make these videos relatable from the jump. Even just the title is always a win! 👏🏻👏🏻
And bro, your studio is just a living thing…
Last time I see it it has this small station for your short clips and now this place is completely gone, the wall is even wider open as it ever was before and on top it has now even a second floor for what ever and how ever that fit into this tiny place…
Everytime really impressive how much work you put into it in the background and never show this to anybody…
I miss the time a bit where you take us with you in any change you made to this iconic place…
he made a couple videos about the expansion process, they're down there on his channel somewhere
@@carterbliss484 not really, there is one video where he just shows the start of the again combined 2 studios but for example he shows never what happens to this shooting table, or when he break down the entire wall…
In the past he showed nearly every single step or change in his studio, that was way more as it is now…
And don’t get me wrong, when he just don’t want to show this anymore to us its completely fine for me but I just miss this vlogs cuz they where so inspiring to me…
I would have 100% loved to see this in theaters. I have a Dolby atmos set up at home, but I don't have the number of speakers that a theater would have nor do I have the similar space.
Some fights are worth losing.. beautiful and inspiring video. Couldn’t have been easy but he did the right thing. 👏🏻 mad respect. Def gonna watch that movie now. Thanks Casey!
What a fascinating look behind the curtain and great way of telling this story Casey.
My friend, your comment should make the hot headlines, hahaha.😂
Amazon did him dirty, he has a dream and should of been able to put in theater 🙌🏼
roadhouse looks like a direct to dvd film
The taxi driver lmao 😂
Casey I like the realness of this video. What I don’t like is TH-camrs always feeling like you have to be positive when he is telling you he lost just sit with his feelings instead of trying to push toxic positivity onto him. I love you Casey.
Love when you upload man! Great video as always!
My friend, your comment should make the hot headlines, hahaha.😂
Cabbie made me fear for humanity again.
Western humans you’ll never see this in east asia
Yeah. Sad.
@@Breakfaststststunfortunately you wouldn’t have seen that before as Casey said, however since globalism and mass migration societies are being changed.. not always for the better 😷
@@T_L00 it’s because blcks and arabs not East Asians. East Asians might be superior race
@@Breakfastststst He was indian
The story teller of TH-cam! So good man! 🎉
This is the happiest day of my life! I finally caught a Casey video the moment it dropped!
This is why contract attorneys exist! 😢
I did think it was weird that he just gave up and no one mentioned law suits or contracts.
@@morganedits1992Amazon was careful to say “we’ll see what happens”. These big companies are usually very well protected against lawsuits.
The only creator who can have me watch an entire video and be shocked when it ends. 12 minutes felt like 60 seconds...
That taxi driver is crazy. Big corp is crazy. But Casey? He is crazy awesome.
Its been 4 months since your last video. You good Casey? Much love dude
Awesome video. Alaays been a fan of Doug Liman. He's always been a competent and solid filmmaker. And Roadhouse was a blast of fun. Really enjoyed it. The action was cool and Jake Gyllenhaal is great as always. 8/10
Wish I could have seen it in the theater.
This is brilliant, engaging from start to finish.
It's a fantastic life lesson.
Plus, I ride a horse into my local Tesco's all the time. Me and Jeff are so similar...
*I love the grounded reality of this channel!!!*
Retirement took a toll on my finances, but with my involvement in the digital market, $47,000 weekly returns has been life changing. AWESOME GOD❤️
Only God knows how much grateful i am. After so much struggles I now own a new house and my family is happy once again everything is finally falling into place!!
Wow that's huge, how do you make that much monthly?
I'm 35 and have been looking for ways to be successful, please how??
Thanks to my co-worker (Scott) who suggested Mrs Maria Angelina🙏.
She's a licensed broker in the states 🇺🇸
Man Casey is still the GOAT. The transitions, the editing, the background music, and of course the shots all done for a fucking youtube video is mental! Keep raising the standards buddy!
Some shit in this world is worth fighting for.
