Watching the old videos it really makes you realise how much Casey admired his brother. His video style very closely mirrors the style Van used. It's so cute and wholesome to think Casey is the younger brother using is older brother as inspiration

The effort to record, catalogue and maintain decades worth of media and be able to pull it up on a whim is so extremely underrated.*

I randomly came across Vans channel a couple months ago and didn't even realize he was a Neistat until just a few days ago I don't even know why. His videos are amazing, you have a super talented brother. What an inspiration he must be.

This has been a dream come true for a lot of us older Neistat Brothers fans. Had social media existed to the same extent when they were both working together, I think both of them would have been huge. But Van kind of mysteriously walked away while Casey continued and became this quirky/cool video guy who’d make videos with $300 cameras. Then he blew up and has become THE Casey Neistat. Nice to see that Tom is still sticking to their old aesthetic of using cheap and wonky gear. For a lot of us, Van was the more interesting and creative one and he kind of became the JD Salinger of cheap digital video. Glad to see he’s back and he’s actually making TH-cam content. I think he’s gonna be hugely successful.
After watching this I have started going through Vans whole back catalogue. What can I say apart from .... You are right, well, not exactly. It is the best you tube channel (so far). Van is a master , a master story teller a master communicator , but above all he is a master adventurer, an adventurer of the spirit. His travels havnt just entertained, excited and moved me , they have taught me , healed me , and inspired my own spirit. I thank you both 💞

How are you so damn good at this? Seriously... it's been talked about to exhaustion, but it never ceases to amaze me how a movie can be so recognizably "Casey Neistat" style that we all know and recognize the elements of it, and yet nobody -despite hundreds trying- has been able to properly recreate it... Just amazing.
I recently found Van's channel serendipitously when looking for the book "The Fourth Turning." His review came up. I watched it and was mesmerized from the beginning. There's something compelling about his style and message. "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" immediately came to my mind, for some reason, though I have neither thought nor heard of it in decades.
Ive been following you since the Neistat Brothers days and I watched a great deal of the vlog from what I saw Van never appeared even though Dean showed up quite a bit. I always assumed there was some falling out and have to say it's nice to see you together in a video again after all these years, hope you finally make that second season.

Seriously... it's been talked about to exhaustion, but it never ceases to amaze me how a movie can be so recognizably "Casey Neistat" style that we all know and recognize the elements of it, and yet nobody -despite hundreds trying- has been able to properly recreate it... Just amazing.
I recently found Van's channel serendipitously when looking for the book "The Fourth Turning." His review came up. I watched it and was mesmerized from the beginning. There's something compelling about his style and message. "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" immediately came to my mind, for some reason, though I have neither thought nor heard of it in decades.

HBO totally lost on letting Neistat Brothers end the series.
Ive been following you since the Neistat Brothers days and I watched a great deal of the vlog from what I saw Van never appeared even though Dean showed up quite a bit. I always assumed there was some falling out and have to say it's nice to see you together in a video again after all these years, hope you finally make that second season.
I have so much respect for this family, that I looked up every book on Van's shelf. I'm very familiar with a few of them and I"m quite proud of that.
