    We bought a 10' x 12' shed from Costco Wholesale. Backyard Products did the build on site at our farm. Check out some time lapse footage of the construction as well as on overview of the features, how much it cost, and our experience.

    To keep rodents (groundhogs, skunks, weasels, rats, moles) from digging under the shed and settling up household you should install rat wire (1”x1” or smaller) all around the bottom and under the ground extending about 24” out. We had to do that because they get under there and chew their way up into the shed.

    I bought an Old Hickory building. It came fully assembled and finished. Also 2x4 construction with several paired together on side and back walls for snow load. Steel roof and top cap. Delivered, installed, and leveled on an old cement garage slab. Turnbuckle braces top and bottom of the door for square closing. Only things I added were matching roof gutter and downspouts and some interior shelving. I was lucky to get this gem. Someone else was waiting right behind me to take it if I didn't.

      Not living...storage. If I had to move from a 3-BR split level into a shed, my head would explode.

    Very nice I'm surprised they don't put on cement or blocks to keep off ground.

      It didn't include one feature the salesman said it would, but we contacted the company and were compensated for the miscommunication. Other than the EXTREMELY long wait it was worth it.

    how much did you pay ? .I'm a Costco member in ct. the 10'×12' shed is $5000 materials and labor to build. gorilla brand. before covid in 2019 yardline was here and their 12'x10' shed was $3800 same deal , looks similar.

    If you had it spray foamed with closed cell foam on the inside, it would insulate it and air/water seal. Then you'd just need to add weather stripping to the doors, and then it would be ready for climate control.
    As I understand it, it's probably cheaper and will come out better to pay a company to come do the foam. Just make sure it's closed cell.

    Gutters and downspouts are not extremely expensive and will allow you to direct the water away and stop the erosion.

    Thank you for the video. I'm looking into buying a Costco installed wood shed. Did you resolve the issue with light and other gaps by the door? Would you recommend this style door or the Costco Yardline brand with an all word door over Gorilla's fiberglass?

      @@pattc2538 The door is very nice. but it didn't include a frame. just the doors which left a huge gap on either side. We spent about 400 dollars on materials to try and seal it up. To me the flooring looks like regular plywood with a thin coating, not a premium product. The seams were not installed evenly either. It is not air or water tight. • @RigginFarm
      @RigginFarm  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It was at a similar price point from others, but this one included the workbench and shelving. They also didn't require a pad or other foundation, because it was built onsite vs being delivered preassembled. There was also another promise the salesman made that wasn't fulfilled, but they took care of that after talking to someone high up in the company.
