Riggin Farm
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 21 ธ.ค. 2019
Welcome to Riggin Farm! We are a husband and wife team that runs a small family farm on our 25 acre property in North Georgia. Nick is a culinary school graduate that has been in restaurant and retail management for nearly 20 years, and Ashley is an Air Force veteran who grew up farming. Together we have amazing synergy that helps us do so much more than either of us could do alone. The events of 2020-2021 created a plethora of challenges as we built our home, started acquiring livestock, and setup a garden. Check out past videos to see how that went and subscribe to watch our progress! Join us on our journey as we build our farming business from the beginning until we are living the ultimate dream life!

Tracking Food Cost for Home Bakery
We created a tool to keep track of ingredient expenses for our cottage food baked items. It shows us how much each batch & serving costs us with and without packaging. It'll also show the amount of profit we make from our baked goods.

How Much Money We Made at the Farmers Market
You can buy them buy the dozen like that at the local egg farm
Where is that? We are an egg farm and haven’t gotten one like this in years.
Yes
Yes i have
It's common, and the egg is usually bigger than the normal one
Yes maybe they are twins but sorry there're already done 😂😂😂
It's more common than you think
It’s common knowledge for those of us who have chickens
I'm a line cook I see it almost daily
Yikes, the poor chicken that passed that one❣️🤪
Hopefully she took a few days off to recover 😂
You sir's and madam's are a godsend 😊
Lettuce
It’s actually napa cabbage that bolted
LETTECE
Gluten, nothing but gluten
No, tell me.
Napa cabbage that bolted
We bought a Clayton home that had been ordered and was on the lot, it was never delivered as the buyer had passed away. They two halves were still plastic wrapped. All the warranties were valid. When it was delivered all the appliances were missing as was the water heater and outside AC unit. Seems the home was cannibalized for parts. Clayton did make good on everything. We did have to repair cracks in the walls and ceiling. It took a week to make it livable.
Thank you for this video! We replicated it for our trailer and it worked WONDERFULLY transporting our show pigs for weigh in. Used a 2018 Jeep Cherokee to haul it, and it was the highlight of the weigh in. Got mega compliments on it because we didn’t have to go buy an expensive livestock trailer and everyone on the road got a kick out of being able to see the pigs. People were taking pictures and videos and smiling at us. Thank you so much for posting this video!!
That is awesome! We’re so glad to hear that it worked out well for you.
How many acres is it?
25
@@RigginFarm that’s big parcel. We just bought a parcel of 16 acres. It’s full of pine trees. I was searching for cutting pine trees and I stumbled upon this video of yours
I ordered a cute single wide 2 bed 2 bath miyo spirit home from Clayton Homes in Huntsville Texas on March 3rd of this year. I put $1000 down. We did ask for any changes from the one we looked at other than smart panel siding and a different external color than the model we looked at. On April 15th we got the call that the trailer had been delivered to Clayton. On April 16th we took a cashiers check for the full amount to Clayton Homes and closed on it. We had found land that we wanted to buy but it needed to be surveyed. We couldn’t get many surveyors to call us back and the ones that did were booked out 6 to 8 weeks. We finally found one that could do it the following week. We purchased the property out right on May 8th. Since May 1st we’ve probably had a foot and a half of rain. The mulcher guy came out a few days ago to clear anything under 4 inches but he got his equipment stuck. I’m living in a rv on the property but I feel very cramped, along with running to open the door to breathe. It’s currently pouring down rain here now. My home is still sitting at Clayton Homes and the salesman that sold it to us tells us, we are fine because it’s flooding the interstate And they can’t deliver it in these conditions anyway. I’ll update this post if the rain ever stops and my home is delivered with any praise or complaints against Clayton Homes. Until then, I’ll be singing… Who’ll Stop he Rain by CCR 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄😩😩😩😩😩🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
We to are looking at manufactured homes and were concerned about the quality of any of them. Now we know we should just avoid Clayton homes entirely. So sorry to benefit from your loss. Thank you for the very balanced review, but we all hear the real truth between your words. ❤❤❤
Thk U for the info. Never Delt with Clayton Homes.
Should have Rejected that Home Too many lies Repairs
Liers
Bro do not ask stupid questions for attention. If you have doubts about it and do nothing then it's animal abuse
Bring them in jeeze
LOOKS LIKE SPRING TO ME ... MOST WILL SURVIVE WITHOUT THE 'SPA TREATMENT'
Or you can bring them inside the house in a box
In these situations we put our Birds under cardboard boxes for insulation. Same way you drape cloth over sensitive plants before a frost
I’m going to get some sheep 🐑 one day, they are beautiful animals!!
Why is your wife looking at you in amazement? She's like he knows all the information.
Do most manufactured or mobile homes come with only a one year warranty?
I got a great business idea! Im going to buy all the vegetables from vendors at farmers markets & sell hot stir-frys, in organic honey ginger sauce, Im going to sell at every farmers market in the US & make lots of $$$
I bought an Old Hickory building. It came fully assembled and finished. Also 2x4 construction with several paired together on side and back walls for snow load. Steel roof and top cap. Delivered, installed, and leveled on an old cement garage slab. Turnbuckle braces top and bottom of the door for square closing. Only things I added were matching roof gutter and downspouts and some interior shelving. I was lucky to get this gem. Someone else was waiting right behind me to take it if I didn't.
You should be reaching out to the FACTORY. Not Clayton homes. That factory makes your house and other manufactured company homes. Also Clayton does not make you sign a social media waiver. These two are trying to milk this so much lol
Thanks for sharing your experience--very informative!
The way she ran away 😂😂😂❤️❤️ "Enough!!!!" She said.
She does not like to be held 🏃🏃💨💨💨💨
I'm jealous 😭🤣
Love them baby chicks...
Why is starring at him like that.
This was such a helpful video!! Thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!
I think standards in America have gone down in general since 2020. If you find a business that provides a quality product and good customer service, stay with them. Corporations have gotten too rich and powerful and think they don’t need to compete to keep your business. They seem to think you’ll just suck it up. Thanks for this video. I won’t do business with Clayton.
Did you know that the soil would perc prior to closing on the purchase?
We did not know ahead of time. Luckily, it was good. They tested multiple areas of the property to make sure there was at least one good area to build.
@@RigginFarm thanks for the reply and lucky indeed! Same with the water quality test.
Clayton sucks
Butterflies love mucked water
That is crazy. They are literally be outside digging the footing for mine right now we signed beginning of February and it’s just flying by for us. They’re pouring the footing and the house can be put on it four days later we’ll see how bad delivery is. Hope it’s nothing like yours.
We wish you a much better experience
Here over the pond in Europe there is research to suggest the sprouted fodder is not overly nutricious as it is not picking up nutrients from the soil. Its ok as a bit of fodder especially in winter months but a lot of studies have found its unfortunately not the miracle grow we hoped.
Using organic fertilizer for hydroponics boosts the nutrient levels significantly for pennies a tray.
@@RigginFarm Good idea 👍
What about Champion Homes? Has anyone had experience with them? Thank you very much for sharing 💖
Thank you.
Thanks for the info. Apartment continue yes. Clayton homes No. How in the world do they stay in business.
Would different breeds such as silkies be much less destructive on the grass? I hear some breeds are more intense foragers than other breeds…?
We’ve never had silkies, so we can’t say first hand how silkies would be with the grass. Sometimes it’s not the scratching and eating of the grass but the large amount of poo that can burn the grass if they stay in one spot too long.
I live the look of Mangalitsas
I live in a stick built and i have rat activity. Only reason i know is I've trapped two of them. It's better to be proactive and put out traps when you move in. My parents battle mice in their mountain home as well. Good job kitty!
