    this ladder is awesome. I dont need anything else. I'm able to get up the side of the house to clean gutters, I can use it to do interior painting. it adjusts for stairs.
    and it folds away smaller than a standard A frame ladder.
    sturdy as hell, and grips the ground well outdoors for awesome stability.
    it's currently a black friday special. got it for $100.

      @@tonysreviews hey fwiw, I kept looking and settled on an 8ft fiberglass ladder. I don't get on rooves, so I don't need the Uber high portion. I do need to be able to have a big tread to stand on while I work and a reliable easy to use design I'm accustomed to I guess. It was similarly priced. I got it at one of my local ace outlets.

    • @richschmitt4621
      @richschmitt4621 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've only seen the first few minutes, and that is EXACTLY what I was thinking. When the spring-loaded "pegs" are both out of the "sockets" at a rung, putting your fingers into a rung "socket" is idiotic and of zero benefit. It can quickly pinch or cut a finger when the two ladder pieces slide open or closed.
      NEVER put your fingers near those openings when both "pins" are out and the guillotine is primed to chop.

  • @JerryIngram
    @JerryIngram 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have one of these and it works. But it is very heavy, and you can break some fingers if not careful when configuring the ladder. Follow the instructions. Also, I have lost two of the inner feet on mine and cannot get them replaced. Harbor Freight customer service says that they do not carry parts for this ladder and you cannot find parts online. Also, although the people at customer service are very nice, it is very difficult to get through to them.

    The middle locking mechanism has changed when I looked.
    Franklin gives the the 2 ladder conversion pieces. $20 with the Home Depot Gorilla ladder. Wheels???
    Are the plastic caps on wrungs just hiding sharp edges?
    Plastic on ladders that might be used 30 years is concerning. Warranty
    HF is 90
    HD is lifetime, though plastic breaking due to being outside might not be covered.

      Ladder manufacturers have mostly changed from reporting actual lengths and now talk about "average reach by average person." Harbor Freight says "Maximum Reach of 17 ft. assumes a 5 ft. 6 in. person using a 1 ft. brush or tool. Actual reach may vary. " for model FKL 17-24. They say the SKUs are 63418, 67646, 62514, 62656, 63419, 63417.
