I literally live thousands of miles away and yet you make me feel as though I am right there with you with your enthusiasm. I can literally feel each shot you take. I truly enjoy your TH-cam channel.
Really only discovered your channel a few weeks ago, loving the content. I think I was born around your area mate, (Barrow in Furness) but moved to Australia with my parents in 1966 when I was 3. I do love Australia and capturing Australian landscapes but your images and the enthusiasm you share for your environment is addictive, and I like how you find beauty all around you. Great work mate, it's a pleasure watching your videos.
I swear, if you were updating your editing software and gave us a live update about what's going on with it, you could make it interesting with how excited you are about landscapes. I love it! Keep it up Henry!
Great video Henry. Anyone who is not infected by your cheerfulness, enthusiasm and joy for life can only be a grump of note. Your photography is also on another level, a true reflection of these very same ingredients. Keep it up lad!
You have such a great eye. I follow about 2 dozen Landscape photographers on TH-cam and they all seem to look for that big grandiose landscape but you find the real art in simplicity and capture more emotion in a quiet meadow than they do in storm swept seascapes. Thank you for sharing.
Your so positive and upbeat about any situation, truly a good thing! Love your vibes you put off and finding beauty in the ordinary. Keep happy and have a wonderful day!
Thanks again for sharing....yes my kind of photography...I use my Tamron 28-300mm lens a lot as it covers so much opportunity when out walking & shooting.. cheers..
I’ve been doing the opposite, for most of last year I only had a 70-300 Nikon. so I’m now using the 10-20 sigma so it’s a real change in you perspective. Great video thanks Henry
What a beautiful morning to be out and about, stunning photos as always Henry, I woke a few mornings ago to heavy fog so I grabbed my camera and headed for the nearest woods and got a couple of nice shots again all thanks to your inspiration and tips :)
Top video Henry. I had spent the afternoon doing some PP on some sunset photos struggling with the amount of sunlight. In the end I left them pretty much natural. That last picture sealed the deal for me 👍
Thanks Henry for another entertaining and positive video. I agree , a tele lens can add an extra dimension to landscape photos. The Fujifilm 18-135 has been my “go to” lens just lately because of its versatility. Equally, I enjoy using my 10-24 on close-ups to add a different perspective .
Really enjoy seeing where you are next Henry. I grew up in Morecambe so know most of the places you go. You still haven't come to my neck of the woods, but were close at plover scar. Keep living the dream dude.
many times ive used my 500 to photo mountain tops, you dont always need a short lens, sometimes its about isolating a subject, when the light is right, good job Henry
I just love your passion for life. You keep things simple and get fantastic results, that last image with the fence and the side light is just one example. Thanks for reminding me/us amongst a world of high tech and 8k this and 8k that. My coffee tasted extra great this morning. Love your channel Henry and keep up the great work!
Nice one Henry, I agree that the telephoto can indeed be the go to lens. Really getting many keepers with with my 70 - 200. The location of this vlog is an area that I used to visit pre covid!!
You excelled on this one again Henry, loved all those, but the one with the moon really stood out for me, I’m now really hoping Saturday morning is going to be a nice morning like that. So I can get out early. 👍👍
Another fabulously enthusiastic delivery Henry and the photography just wow! Bought your E Book the other day and I can hear your voice as I read. Makes for really easy reading and learning. Jules
Great video Henry. I agree with the telephoto use. The only time I find I use my Tokina 11-16 is landscape where I get really low to the ground to force that oversize sky perspective.
Great vlog. Some good , real world examples of using a telephoto in landscape photography. Always happy to see the notification that your next blog has landed on TH-cam land.
wow fab stuff iv got tamron 55-300 never thought to us it for landscapes just been doing photography for 2 years this month love waching u on youtube ur videos are 1st class Henry
Excellent video! My walk around lens is my Nikon 24-120 F4. I use it with a Nikon D750. Lately I have been considering switching to a my 70-300. Thinking about simplifying my images. You just gave me a huge kick in the butt. I also own a D7200. It is hugely capable camera. With my Sigma 150 to 600 the D7200 does killer wildlife photos. Please keep using your Nikon. I use a Sony for video. I find my Sony sterile... just something makes me feel less connected to the camera.
HI Henry, first of all fantastic video. Secondly thank you so much for doing a video using a telephoto len,as I have a nikon D750 and use 24-120 f4 len for 95% of my landscape photography & you have give me plenty of ideas to improve my landscape photography. So thank you. Look forward to your next adventure.
A great video as usual, just love your touque from Canada, I'm from Canada, I shoot landscapes and wildlife. I just love your videos, I used to live in England Luton Beds for 7 years back in late 1970's. I love England Top Drawer! Have a great day Henry, Dave
My favourite lens is a 24-105mm for landscape closely followed by a 16-35mm. I find with the narrower fov I can isolate foreground elements or go for high res panos. But I might be doing it wrong. I'm yet to use my 100-500mm for landscape but I'm sure I will in the future. Another great Video Henry!
Henry you are starting to convince me to stop relying on my sigma 17-50 as my must use landscape lens. I have 3 others covering up to 600 (I started out in wildlife) thank you for inspiring me to try at least the other 2 out
Your videos as well as your passion and insight inspires me to go out, explore, contemplate and capture the beautiful scenes this world provides. Ciao, cheers and be safe on your travels.
quality video mate, loved the penultimate shot with the fog lifting and dew on the fence! so now you’ve had a stunning sunset AND sunrise in that location! Keep em coming man 💪💪
Another absolute belter Henry, thanks very much. So atmospheric .. really enjoyed the video, and like how you're drawing on elements of other topic specific video content .. encouraging us to get out and make the most of the opportunities out there.
My newest lens is a 100-400 2.8 for my set up. I use a 2x teleconverter on occasion. Nice option against my 70-200. I never thought to use it in landscapes, but works well for building intimate shots and wildlife. It's all perspective. I love the stillness, for me that is what I call the "magic moment." Lovely zoomed shot with the moon. Cheers, Henry! Thank you!!!
Hi Henry, I like the way you develop your image with dew on barb wire. Personally I would have tinted it in the yellowish/warm, especially the highlight. You keep it neutral, as we see it on video and it’s brillant. I agree with your comment: natural is beautiful. Have a nice weekend.
Thanks for sharing so much knowledge. Love the way , you expresses your feelings , enthusiasm , and photography. I will watch all your videos. God bless you.👍
Looking forward to my next trip home to Iowa. A couple has offered me a place to stay on their farm. Thanks for revealing such potential in places many take for granted.
When I switched from my Nikon to Fuji. All I could afford was a 55-200 lens. Which I notice some limitations, but I’m enjoying the challenge of finding more intimate subjects until I can afford a wider lens. Tops video as always!
I recently switched from nikon to fuji and didn't have much funds for the glass, I highly recommend the Samyang 12mm is so sharp and so cheap only downfall could be is only manual focus but with focus peeking I haven't found it an issue
Thanks Henry!! My go to kit are my 'nifty fifty' and my 70-200 lenses. I love the perspective on the 50mm and the zoom helps me to get into the detail. If i need to go wide I carry a 17-40 zoom. Cheers to another week-end of photography!!
Thanks Henry for another inspirational and great video. Thank you for always bringing joy and enthusiasm. You produced some really great images. I loved them all and especially one with the moon and the last one with the sun. Keep bringing the joy and living the dream.
Who would give this a thumbs down?.. I was secretly hoping Henry was going to take a photo with the Slow sign painted on the road with a view with it, considering how still everything seemed. But it’s always a pleasure to virtually join him on his jaunts across the country.
I recently left all my other lenses out of my back and just took a 55 - 200 and it made me take photos I wouldn't have previously seen. It's a great idea, love the videography in this one - keep it up!
What a beauty of a morning eh?! I agree with you about the perfect exposure HDR effect with direct sunlight. I find myself bracketing my photos only to use a radial filter on the sun after to over expose it a little to make it look more natural.
My brother lives at the foot of Warton Cragg, fantastic photo opportunities all year round, can't wait until I can go and visit him so we can go out with our cameras. Great video!
Hi Henry , i often feel the general population miss out on the most beautiful times , fingers crossed for a good morning tomorrow here as forecast is looking good 😊
You are a great way to start my Friday 😁 Your passion and enthusiasm give me the umph to get to the finish line at 4pm when the weekend starts. One thing though, if you tell everyone to get up and get out there, it ain't gonna be quiet and peaceful 🤣🤣🤣 Sshhhhh! Keep it to yourself otherwise you'll be fighting crowds for the sunrise 🤫
That picture at 5:05 is stunning!! The other pictures are amazing too though! What a wonderful location, would love to be there! I always try to avoid getting fences in my pictures, but when I see your pictures, they can definitely add to the picture!
I feel exactly the same about long lenses, when i started in photography i had a pure wideangle obsession. I went all the way in buying a zenitar 16mm f2.8 for my pentax film camera at the beginning of 2000, for me it was all about wide vistas and crazy perspectives... growing up i went narrower and narrower... i shot on a 35mm EVERYTHING for like 4 years straight... right now my most used lens is a 80-200... and now when i’m mounting a 28 i’m like “whoa that’s wide!”. I feel like the more you master this craft the better you are able to feel confortable on narrow crops... and you just end up falling in love with the compression... so yeah you made a very good point!
That first image with the moon was an absolute banger of an image. Totally get what you were saying Henry about obsession with wide angle lenses as my 24-70mm was hardly ever off my camera but recently been using the 70-200mm more and got possibly my best image of this year the other night at sunset using my 70-200mm
I could really relate to this, I have a hobby farm so I'm up early every morning and am often greeting by a similar scene. I use my Tamron 18-200 a lot so I totally get it. Because I'm busy feeding its hard to take the big camera with so I've started taking my Canon 20d and a kit lens out under my coat as like you I just love the atmosphere of the mornings, the ice on the fences, kangaroos in the mist.....
Hi I've just bought my first Nikon d5300 first camera since I was a young lad and I've stumbled apon your channel you make photography so more interesting amazing enthusiasm im hooked top man 👍
Hey Henry, Yet again another awesome, enthusiastic vlog. Love your work. Thank you for continuing to deliver content. Helps keep all us photographers engaged and excited about potential reductions in restrictions. Richie.
Hi. I have recently discovered you on you tube, and I have to say your enthusiasm is brill. I have been on furlough for the majority of the year and moral was ebbing until I found these vlogs 👍 Wonderful photos keep it up 👌👍
Can express how happy I get when I see you post a video. Your positivity is a welcome boost in my morale.
Thanks Harold that really does mean the world mate, appreciate the support :)
I literally live thousands of miles away and yet you make me feel as though I am right there with you with your enthusiasm. I can literally feel each shot you take. I truly enjoy your TH-cam channel.
Thanks a lot!!
You could put enthusiasm into having a flat tyre on a rainy day.
True! 😁
You have a knack of seeing compositions that I wouldn't think twice about, and turning them into Beautiful photos bravo mate
Really only discovered your channel a few weeks ago, loving the content. I think I was born around your area mate, (Barrow in Furness) but moved to Australia with my parents in 1966 when I was 3. "Naturally desaturated!" That is my addiction at the moment, exactly that. Love the colours this time of year
Lovely vlog again, thanks for the motivation your enthusiasm is infectious.
I loved the little house at 5:31. Lovely shots that you captured again.
I also love that house, it's a stunner!
An absolutely beautiful morning! I love the softer sky colors in the winter/early spring.
I’ve been doing the opposite, for most of last year I only had a 70-300 Nikon. so I’m now using the 10-20 sigma so it’s a real change in you perspective. Great video thanks Henry

Watching your videos just make me want to go and take photos. So inspirational.
So glad to hear that Kim thanks for tuning in!
Addicted to your videos!
You are so right my friend...

I love the detail of the fence where you can see water droplets - goes so well the moodiness of the various light streaming across
Nice one Henry, I agree that the telephoto can indeed be the go to lens. Really getting many keepers with with my 70 - 200. The location of this vlog is an area that I used to visit pre covid!!
Beautiful as always. I love that frosty-foggy-sunny mood. Reminds me to similar winter mornings back home in Germany. Keep on cracking mate. Thumbs up
Thank you very much!
You excelled on this one again Henry, loved all those, but the one with the moon really stood out for me, I’m now really hoping Saturday morning is going to be a nice morning like that. So I can get out early. 👍👍

Brilliant Henry. Just what I needed today. Keep finding those incredible shots where others would just walk by.
Glad you enjoyed it
I really love how you can find a beautiful photo in a field that to many may look somewhat ordinary. Inspiring.
Fabulous photos again Henry, it certainly looked an amazing morning..

Your videos as well as your passion and insight inspires me to go out, explore, contemplate and capture the beautiful scenes this world provides. Ciao, cheers and be safe on your travels.
Wonderful video, sir! The difference between a great photographer and the rest of us is how you 'see' something we would often walk past. Thank you!
One of your best. Like you, I love the desaturated structural elements of late winter.
Glad to see you out shooting hand held. Nothing Wrong with that and that Last Shot is FIRE!
quality video mate, loved the penultimate shot with the fog lifting and dew on the fence! so now you’ve had a stunning sunset AND sunrise in that location! Keep em coming man 💪💪

Thanks Stefano :)

Super vlog Henry. Really did feel the emotion of the glorious morning along with you there. Beautiful start to anyone’s day that is. Great stuff👌🏻

I also love to use my 70-300mm Tamron lens a lot. And you can also make a pano if you needed more into the frame.

Just found your channel. Love your energy and love for what you do. Certainly inspired me to get out and try to learn this art.
Really love that you use Nikon not many Photographers that i see on YT use Nikon
Nice moon shot mate!
Awesome location! I’ve almost always used just my 14-24 for landscapes. Next time I’m only bringing the 70-200 to force different creativity.
Sounds great!
Loved that second shot.
Inspirational and enthusiastic to the max, nice one Henry 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hey Henry,
Yet again another awesome, enthusiastic vlog. Love your work.
Thank you for continuing to deliver content. Helps keep all us photographers engaged and excited about potential reductions in restrictions.

Nice vlog, a lot of inspirations ...
I agree with you on the telephoto lens.
Such a beautifully peaceful way to start the day. Great shots and, as always, so uplifting - thanks Henry 😊🇦🇺
Lovely Henry! What a great morning to be out! B
This was great! I totally get what you mean, I felt the same way last week just taking pictures of the morning mist on the Mersey in Manchester 😊
