Which video settings do you use to see shooting at night?
It's really hard to capture and camera/phone dependent. I haven't found specific settings. The main thing is that you need some ambient light. If it's too dark it won't pickup.
the best time of making the gellets was with hot tap water and it made useable balls 1 hour when normally it takes 3 to 4 hours depending on the brand making them is kinda' like Breaking Bad :)
That's a big speed difference. I just tried hot tap water too and it does work much faster.
Do you need to modify your mag to use the glow in the dark orbeezs

Glad you did this vid I've yet to find the best glow gels but the gel strike ones seam the most consistent
Did you try the Ausgel glow yet? geltactical.com/product/ausgel7-8mmhardenedglowgels-60g/ A bit pricey though for the rate that we go through these.
For the gel blaster starfire gellets would soaking them for less time bring them to 7mm instead of a full 8mm
@@kyngsama5247 Yes, you can control soak, but tbh it's a pita.
One thing I learned messing around with my Starfire gellets, is that a spoon of 91% isopropyl alcohol per half gallon can reduce the maximum size they grow to. My Surge xl + Starfire xl like them big, but sometimes I'll "sanitize" the water to make them a tiny bit smaller

Can you use the glow in the dark ammo without the starfire activator, I have the normal gel blaster surge do I need to buy the starfire activator or can u just use the glow in the dark ammo

what about tracer units for gel blasters
dont forgot airsoft tracer units can also work with gel blasters
but you need certain glow in the dark gels for them and i think that would be a good video to do about since i personally dont know what glow in the dark gels work with tracer units attached to gel blasters, though only some gel blasters such as the unlocx with its rifle barrel and a few other gel blasters let you put it on the barrel

i saw in this one video about gel blaster tracer units, where the guy in the video revealed that a fan told him how to put it on and he revealed that if you twist off the tip/end part of the barrel of the unlocx, it makes it able to fit a tracer unit
The glow in the dark gels shown in this video will work with any tracer unit.

Yes, they work well in other hopper fed blasters, but not that well in mag fed blasters.
I've found the hard way I bought 20 thousand gel blaster balls and they won't shoot out of my acr j10 lol

Ive put calipers on my gels and everything closer to the 8mm Mark seems to perform better in my magazine fed blasters. This video has me curious as to why they perform differently for you.
The cheap glow gels measured over 8mm, that's the problem.
Ah, the OVER part. I get it now. So the BIU gels were over? Have you noticed a difference between tap water and other water for soaking? I own a gel blaster arena in Louisiana. If you're ever down this way come by. Acadiana GelSoft
which gellets glow brightest?
It's more about what kind of tracer mod you have. The later it illuminates them, the brighter they glow. Even the cheap Biu 1kg glows brightly when illuminated by cheap glow hopper feed neck.
What is better a tracer or the glow device adapter for super bright glow?
Both together for brightest glow 😂. Barrel end tracer units are expensive, and only fit easily on blasters with outer threaded barrels. The feedneck adapter works well, but only for hopper fed, and it lights up the gels in the hopper also. My favorite is the t-piece tracer mod like I have done in several videos. That lights up the gel right before it enters the barrel.

Water temp doesn't affect size. It only affects speed of growth.
Oh ok thank you that's nice to know I'm still a bit new to gel blasters. I'm just thinking of solutions cause I found out the unlocx 4 in 1 version has a threaded barrel if you screw off the orange piece that can fit my brighter c tracer unit. So I have a generic brand of glow gels comming in and wanted to see if the tracer unit will make them glow instead of modding the magazine. But knowing now that they need to be a bit smaller maybe I could grow them for a little less time to make them the right size.

Hmm where did u get the biu gelblaster ammo as there website seems like one masive scam and the reviews also seem to confirm my suspicions
Biu Blaster sent them to me for review after I asked them for some. So, I can't confirm what happens when you order from their website, but they did send me everything I requested, so they have it in stock.

@@codered47819 well i did abit more digging and decided not to risk it as everythink points towards a scam i emailed the company with my concerns and was just told thats how you have to pay there is another chinise site where it asks you to purchase a balance from biu blaster its so strange and screams scam
dude i would love it if you could make a video on something to feed gellettes thats better than the gel blaster bucket. I have it and its not great it does not close easily and often leaves you dropping gels everywhere. if you could make a gel dispenser video with some common things you can buy and your hardware store or dollar tree that would be so awsome!! and helpful!!
I have become accustomed to using the GB Depot, but I definitely can't let someone who knows nothing about it use it, and talked to GB about that. They said that they are working on an improved valve system. I was planning to 3D print an attachment on the nozzle to improve the dispensing. Subs say they prefer the speed loader style bottles, but I have issues loading those bottles without spilling.
@@engineerable in my free time which i do not have much of I drew up a pretty simple system using a small table bucket and funnel add a couple of bolts drill a couple of holes and put a little door on the funnel and boom you have a dispenser just have to have the time to do it maybe ill make a small vid if it works out lol
thanks for the reply though! I'm glad they are working on that door its the worst part of their design and I don't really love how the lid closes its opened on me a couple of times making a mess.
So you can only use glow ammo with a outer tracer mod? I was going to add a rgb tracer on the end of my starfire XL. I’m assuming I won’t get the rainbow effects or colored stream of bullets without using glow gels or can regular ammo work fine? Can you link that big bag of ammo
You need glow tracer ammo. You'll get a short distance of viability with a rgb barrel mount tracer and regular gel balls, but for any distance tracer, you will need glow gels. The rgb rainbow effect will be very short, 1-2 feet from end of barrel. The glow gels only glow green, no matter what color light they are illuminated with. Links are in description.

Those will work well with GB SURGE XL. Shipping was quick, about a week.
