The real “Sonic 4” is Sonic Mania. And I will always count it as canon. Classic Sonic isn’t from another dimension like Tails said in Forces, it’s the past. The Phantom Ruby was recreated by current Eggman from his experience with the original years prior.

What I did was hit the top right one then a bit later, the bottom right and you can jump on a pillar to get up there. Worst part is the bit later part since if you hit them right after each other, the platform retracts before the pillar that blocks it

You know people should go easy on dimps. They aren't the best but they brought us The advance and rush games and colors ds. (I also enjoyed unleashed wii but i won't directly include it for those people who will kill me for liking it)
Sure they should get more praise because they made a bunch of great games but just like Sonic Team they made one bad game and suddenly they suck and all the good games they made don't matter.

I know what I’m about to say is overrated, but I honestly would’ve liked this game and the sequel if the physics weren’t so broken. Music and graphics look cool though.

I can say one thing about Episode 1 that is good.
Lost Labyrinth, is one of the most unique stages in the game, every zone has different elements that are executed correctly. The first act doesn't have that much water, and mostly the stage is about the falling rocks, the second act is a dark cave, that you have to find your way out of it, and the third act is kinda like Labyrinth from Sonic 1, but the difference is that it is not as slow... kinda hard to tell, but if you try the zone, you might love it
Plus it has the only unique boss in the whole game

There's nothing wrong with Sonic 4. I'm glad it exists and enjoyed the hell out of it.
As for it not appearing on Mania's elevator, I chalk it up to Mania being in its own timeline, diverging from the main series timeline after 3&K due to the fact Eggman calls Classic as the Sonic from another dimension in Forces.
Theres a lot of wrong things on Sonic 4.

I played part 2 when I was like 7 or something, I genuinely enjoyed it, not as much as I enjoyed sonic one and two, (yeah I had played them both) but I enjoyed it. I found it really challenging, and I loved the metal sonic levels, because since I hadn't played part one, I thought all of the levels where brand new, I also didn't realise that the levels where practically re-used from older games, as I wasn't good enough to get that far in any of them
