Pilot! Love Kennedy Steve. Always “had the bug” since I was a child and looked up in the sky every time I heard an airplane up there. Kennedy, Steve always made me laugh and smile. Thanks, Steve.❤❤❤✈️
This was a well done interview with a guy who is quite colorful with the his time as ATC at JFK! Favorite was his yelling at that Queen 😅 Thanks Kevin!
Love Kennedy Steve's professionalism and awesome commentary. Him injecting humor into his work while still maintaining his professionalism helped make other people's stressful day a whole lot brighter.
I can't be the only one who loved the irony that as they are talking about how they hated when the Singapore plane would be tugged a Singapore airlines plane appears in the background being tugted
I just discovered this guy a few days ago when TH-cam thought I wanted to watch some of these videos, and it was right. I had no idea what was going on, so I've been studying and listening to ATC. I'm at a point now where I get the jokes and have a gist of what's happening. I'm binging them, and it's like watching a series and getting to know the "characters." He's a '9ers fan? Yes! Those are my hometown boys! Steve needs to train the LAX ground in the art of humor to pepper in - when appropriate -, because what I've heard is too sterile. A little lighthearted humor can go a lot way to relieving some stress and lifting moral a little for everyone to get through it. :) That's what I love about Steve. He's funny while also being efficient and professional. Adding humor is absolutely something my dad did working at the hospital. He told me that's how he stayed sane, and helped to keep everyone else sane. "Ground?" "Yes, Plane." will never not be funny. :D
Oh wow - my first long haul was a BOAC VC10 from LHR to MRU in 1970 - quietest damn plane in the world. Been a fan of Steve's brilliant GTC for many years. Enjoy your retirement Steve
OK let me interrupt here talking about the Concorde call Card was ahead of his time. Wait ahead of his time it was the only passenger plane commercial plane that was fast and beautiful and unique so I had irrupt and I saw the the Concord landed right there where you are at at Kennedy airport. I think I was getting ready to go to Germany or Bermuda. I’m not sure how many Concord came up nose in the air went past me and then I saw it go down to the ground. It was beautiful thanks for reminding me of the Concorde because I love to see planes coming and going from the ground lno I’m not excited about flying. Thanks Kevin have a great evening. I appreciate seeing this clip.
Turning 55 in a couple of months and agree with Kennedy Steve that as you age mental acuity diminishes and your work becomes harder than when you were younger. Mental load is heavier. Saving grace is experience.
Hey Steve! In the videos didn’t know half of what you were saying, but boy, when I can’t sleep at night I’ll turn your videos on and all my cares fly right into the ramp. And wasn’t it Delta tug 4 your fav? Take care all the best from a west coast lady
Not really an AVGeek but Kennedy Steve makes ATC fun.. well except for the Middle East 3 carriers rhey did not enjoy Steve's humor 😁 One of my favorite quotes from Kennedy Steve is pilot says "which way should we face?"... Steve without missing a beat says "I'd face the front..the passengers get nervous if you dont face front while flying.. But you can face the tail NW"
Thanks for the memories, Steve! Would you be Godfather to my unborn child? (Note: pregnancy on hold until Delta tug 5, rolls BA Super out of the way...)
Personally I don’t think this interview done justice to Kennedy Steve. Steve is a very intelligent , funny, interesting professional guy. He should have been interviewed by a professional. Hope your retirement is going well. You deserve it.
I know the FAA rules and regulations for ATC and pilot but this is the most nasty ATC I ever seen. I've seen other pilots on the ground bail him out when he was not paying attention to traffic
Kennedy Steve is a legend. An incredible professional, great humor and what every ATC should aspire to be. His voice is still missed over JFK
Kennedy Steve looks exactly like you thought he would. Usually people don’t look like they sound. He matches the sound perfectly.
i thought he was black for some reason
i'm also shocked that he looks exactly how i imagined. down to a tee.
Wow!! Kennedy Steve at the high atop the TWA Hotel ❤
i may only be on a tide pods ad, but just from that i can tell this is gonna gonna be a great interview
This is GREAT! Glad to see Steve is around and well....his hilarious commentary is dearly missed.
Fantastic Interview, Kevin! Kennedy Steve is a highly intellegent fellow! 🙂
Pilot! Love Kennedy Steve. Always “had the bug” since I was a child and looked up in the sky every time I heard an airplane up there. Kennedy, Steve always made me laugh and smile. Thanks, Steve.❤❤❤✈️
Amazing interview with Kennedy Steve. Thanks so much for sharing Kevin. Will see you again soon!

Great interview with the man himself. Thank you Kevin.
Great interview. First time I have ever seen Kennedy Steve. Thanks for posting this, Kevin.

This was beyond awesome.
I just watched/listened to some Kennedy Steve to catch up. This guy is hilarious! He totally gives a run for his money!😂😂
I vote YES on the book, Steve.
He's a legend.
This is great. Sad that I missed it live.

Dearly missed. Da best
I love Kennedy Steve’s “caution propwash” transmission. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
And the reaction from the Qantas pilot... He really thought about that advisory. 😅
@@avidobe he really wasn’t prepared.
I would love to hear the “prop wash” audio again but if someone could post the TH-cam link, I would be most appreciative.
Just search for Kennedy Steve Best Of :)
What a moment. Wow!
@7:11 Oh the irony, right as he complains about an SQ tug, there is an SQ777 under tow!
👍Awesome👍
Wow!
Nice
Excellent

32:08 hell yeah!! Hopefully I can see you up here Steve!
Cool interview! Cheers!
The man himself Kennedy Steve
I feel like Kennedy Steve should be a trainer for new controllers (not sure where you study to become one).
7:40
I think thats the modern Singapore Mike on the right there! 😂
I would love to know if he ever got to see the Antonov.
Id buy that book, caution, Prop Washing!!!!!!!
Where's Delta Tug 4?
Kennedy Steve at John F. Kennedy airport? Was JFK from his family?
Nice to put a face for it all
I would ask him how he was able to instantly identify the myriad of airplane types.
"Ground"?
- "Yes, plane"?

Somebody-please.....
Where did Steve say he was born? I listened to it three times and could not catch it. Thank You, for whoever answers.
If I heard right, he said “South Africa.” I know it’s been 4 months, but here’s what I heard.
25:46 Kennedy Steve has used his retirement to live shame a very heavy AirAct cargo for lack of taxi enthusiasm.
Sound ?
It's there.
Which Airline has the most professional pilots?
Thanks for the memories, Steve! Would you be Godfather to my unborn child? (Note: pregnancy on hold until Delta tug 5, rolls BA Super out of the way...)
