Hey guys, I got accepted for Master of Public Policy programme 😊 this was the first video I saw on Oxford and I can't believe that my dream came true! I am still in the process of finishing rest of the admission technicalities and my accommodation is not yet confirmed. But, really stoked about going there this September!

What ever the difficult of the process to get a scholarship, I will take it courage to get in Oxford University and study a civil engineering. Faith and hard work are just my companion💕

Hari, asking this is would be too much for them. Their perception of student living is probably to end up with a single room with 5 people sharing it, sleeping on the floor with all the mattresses on the floor. And if we do get an amazing room like this sharing it all for our own... They are like whoa... he spends so much...etc...

Saumya Chaubey I guess your Indian, if you are, I feel you. We are middle class family and its pretty expensive so yeah I am never going there.
Accommodations for Oxford range from £3500-£4000 which can easily be covered with a maintenance loan from student finance. That pretty cheap compared to what you pay for rent for other unis

Some graduate accommodations at UCT in South Africa are like this. Lived in one of their residences, Obs Square with the same window view. Congrats to your sister.

What a beautiful dorm room! Is Oxford like the Harvard of USA? Congrats again to your sister. I also have a super smart younger sister and i did the exact same thing when visiting her school. I became the super proud parent and wanted to make sure everything was ok. haha.

Once, it was my ambition to study there. Thought of doing my degree there, couldn't. Did it locally. Then, thought at least masters, couldn't so did it locally. Let's see whether I can pursue my PhD in a prestigious foreign university.

I've got a year or so left in school, so now's the prime time to look up good universities. Oxford has always been a dream, but after reading certain experiences of students from the University, it seems like it's not the place for me. It has a beautiful environment and ambiance, but the pressure will tear apart every breathing fiber of your being.

This is probably one of the newer accomodations. Usually, colleges own older, listed buildings were you have to live in a moldy, drafty room with single-glazed windows and falling apart bathrooms and kitchens. The cheapest room one can get is 500 pounds per month, I reckon this one is around 600-700 a month. The uni has a notoriously bad housing system, where students have to compete even for bad, seriously overprized rooms.
