@@wobblyboost Thanks dear. It's 4 years now and the laptop with 'my' music my only painkiller since (24/7 pain for more than 10 years). When it breaks down beyond repair like recently, even my fortitude starts shaking. Nevertheless: never again back to opioids and antidepressants! Still the best decision of my life.

@@netwitchtatjana4661 That's a fact my friend. Debilitating pain since 8/11/98 has taught me that opiates are my friend, I'm sorry to say, but they improve the quality of my life. I've cold turkeyed off 4 or 5 times over the years due to M.D. issues and of course the Man, so I know what you're going through. All I can say is stay strong in your mission, we'll all be there soon enough in the end. Then we'll all be proud bedridden rejects together.

I can't even describe...I lived in the woods in WA for nine years, flying signs. Knew three people that got splattered and killed by Am-Traks. The Builders and The Butchers kept me "sane". Bringing home the rain was hauling the daily water up to camp. Peace and love to all. ✌

I've been trying to remember this band's name for several years. I just remembered it. saw them in LA in the later 00s and their music existed on multiple playlists lost through the years.
Been off the shit more than ten years as the tears run down my face as I remember back in those days when I used to poke holes in my selves instead of dealing with life. It still hurts but I'm still alive. That's what this song means to me.

When I was leaving in Labrador I was bringing home a lot of rain sometimes weeks in the wood with a 22. Riffle and a backpack a stove and a tent I miss this life, but not enough now I live in Thailand and that song makes me think about the rain season now hahah

I used to go see these guys play in small smokey clubs often when they first started in Portland in the mid 2000s. So many good drunken times. I booked at one of these said small clubs and they left a large crinkled paper bag with a bunch of instruments like tambourines, shakers, etc after a show one night which they would hand out to the audience to play. A few nights later at their next show, at a different venue, I brought the bag to the front of their typically exuberant, fun and drunken crowd, motioned to the singer, and then proceeded to hand out their leftover mini instruments to their people in the crowd to play along to one of their last songs. I think that was the last night I saw them. Such a fun band who really cemented a particularly dark and creative time in Portland pre-Portlandia. Everyone in the band is super nice and a fun fact the lead singer is a Fish Biologist during the day.
