Sometimes your favorite forms of media in life aren't something you latch onto immediately. This is my case with souls games. It took me far too long to actually fall in love with these games. When I eventually did, I became that annoying friend that says "hey, hey, you guys should play dark souls" and I wouldn't shut up until they do. So, the real moral of the story is being friends with me is more of a chore than a gift.
Great video! I agree with you on Central Yharnam. Being the starting area, I think it's the most difficult area in the game. I spent a few days there. In fact, I originally rage quit there and didn't come back until recently. I really think it's one of the best starting areas in any game because it teaches the skills to beat the entire game.
I agree, I think central Yharnam may be my favorite starting area. I like unlocking my trick form and killing a handful of enemies at once. Thanks for the kind comment :)
Dude your content is great. In a year or so you wil 100% have at the least more than a 1000 subs. Very underrated channel.
Such an awesome comment. Thank you!
I can definitely relate. My first real Souls experience was Bloodborne and just like you, it was because my friend wanted to play co-op. I recall being stuck in Central Yharnam for days and constantly seeing the 'You Died' screen over and over. Eventually I got gud and I beat it and it started my Souls itch. I bought Sekiro and Dark Souls 3.
I instantly clicked with Sekiro (and to this it is my favorite Fromsoft game) but Dark Souls 3 I could not seem to enjoy. I actually rage quitted after I beat the Abyss Watchers. I took a long break and eventually revisited it with a newer perspective and focus on making a strong build from day one and from there on in, it really clicked with me and DS 3 is now one of my favorite games as well. Great video and I'm sorry for leaving an essay in your comment section lol.
No worries about a long comment, I enjoy reading them. Sometimes you have to take a long break and when you come back, you see the joy everyone speaks of. Thank you for the kind comment :)
The first time I gave a try to a Souls game, it didn't click for me either. It was DS1 for X360, which I got for "free" with a gold membership. I just didn't understand what this game wanted me to do; I was so used to different game direction styles. A few years later, I got Bloodborne as a gift, and soaked in. This game helped me actually get through some hard times, for which I will be grateful forever. Great video! 🙂
Thank you for the kind comment (again!) It's great to hear that Bloodborne was there to aid in getting past some of the less enjoyable times you mentioned. Thank you for the kind comment :)
Keep it up with these videos, I must say they are really great.
Thank you. I also like your profile picture of Levi
i owned Bloodborne for over a year before I could ever get into it and then i decided to pick it up. Took my time with it since I was older and was appreciating game design way more. I didn’t have any friends on it and i didn’t have any interest in playing more from the devs for some reason. It wasn’t until Dark Souls Remastered came out and for some reason, instead of paying the full price for a “new” game I bought Dark Souls 3 since i looked it up and say it came out right after Bloodborne and it was super cheap so I fell in love but didn’t buy the remaining games. I played Bloodborne and DS3 on a consistent basis. I didn’t get Sekiro. Built a PC, got into games there then bought ds3, DSR,Sekiro, and ds2. Then Elden Ring came out sunk a couple into it and still play the games now.
Solid video man, keep going!
Thank you for the kind comment. I love hearing stories on how people found these games and your story was great too!
I really enjoy watching your videos. hopefully you get the attention to your channel that you deserve.
I hope so too! Thank you so much!
i really loved the video keep it up bro 👍🏾
Thank you so much!
I like your style , keep at it!
Thank you so much!
If you wanna get into lore, the best way in my opinion, is to watch lore videos as you play the game. Specifically the dark souls youtuber daddy VaatiVidya.
Vatti does make great content. I will check a few of his videos out. I have always heard BB has the best lore, may be best to start there
Gaels lore is heartwrenching i tell you
youtube algorithm brought me here, commenting so other people also see this video!
Thanks friend
NIER AUTOMATA VIDEO NEXT PLEASE PLAY UP TO ENDING E AND COME BACK
I really need to play Nier. I respect Yoko Taro. I have seen some interviews with him and everything he says manages to interest me. Luckily, I know 0 spoilers about Nier.
@@CosmicEye597 In that case please play it as soon as possible, it's very easily spoilerable and in my opinion has the most impactful ending in gaming history thats so easily spoilable. My personal favorite game of all time even after the souls series (altho ds3 is kinda close) I'll be waiting for your vid on it.
@@amrmans2 I can easily say that Nier will be my next game. As of right now, I have like 3 games I am playing lol. But I have always respected Nier. I will keep in mind the fabulous ending E that I need to experience.
@@CosmicEye597 Don't forget Nier Replicant either, a re-release of the original Nier. Both fantastic games.
