If you're in the need for a great souls-like with excellent music and art style while waiting for silk song i would highly recommend a game called nine sols. Its definitely worth your time, trust me.

I love Elden Ring I just discovered the game recently I beat the Elden Beast last night I’m planning to play the dlc. I am typically a Zelda player but Elden Ring is very fun. I will probably try other From Software games!! I am planning to play Zelda Echoes of Wisdom before I play the Elden Ring DLC because I need to play Zelda I just miss the Hyrule / Zelda map so I gotta do that next. Astro Bot is definitely on my list as well I’m sure I’ll enjoy that game. I’m excited for Elden Ring Night Reign it definitely will not be my favorite game at all it’s not even my type of game because of the multiplayer and rogue-like all of those words are not words I think of as being super fun but I will definitely try it tho. I agree Rockstar games are not for me I tried GTA 2 when it came out I tried GTA 5 definitely not for me. I’m sure GTA 6 will be a global event but it’s not for me really so I get it. I’ll be happy everyone else is enjoying it but I will most likely be playing games I really enjoy. I do plan to try Ghosts of Sushima at some point I’ve always heard good things about it and that game is more my speed anyways. So maybe if I play that I will try the sequel too!

I don't know if you (Cosmic Eye) will see this comment anymore, but I'd give the same advice to anyone else that sees this comment. If you're interested in the VAST lore of From's library, please use more sources than a VaatiVidya playlist. His videos are good for sure, but relying solely on them can lead to a very one-sided understanding of the lore. There are many great theories he omits or that offer different interpretations of the environmental insights, so please check out some other channels. His is by far the most popular but many others put out equally worthwhile observations and get just a fraction of the recognition for it. the last time miyazaki wasnt working on a project we got dark souls2, because he was on bloodborne and the most important is that this game is absolutely not made to compete with their main souls franchise

I think a lot of people don't realise how big a deal a Billion Dollar title actually is, especially when it's a single player game & even more so considering we're talking about a fairly niche genre on top of that. Elden Ring was a Billion Dollar title, Fromsoft's first (& Japan's also I believe?) so damn right Kadokawa are gonna want to milk that success.

An interesting thing I recently noticed about the Capra Demon fight is that the dogs in the fight actually respawn in the boss room, but the Capra Demon of course does not.

As someone that platted RDR2 and can fully admit it's a graphical masterpiece, it might be one of the most objectively boring games of last gen.

The greatest game ever. The PC version single-handedly revitalized my love for gaming which was disappearing for the past decade. I have no idea who the dude behind the emulator is but he's got my vote.

2025 is such an interesting year of releases, cuz, there is almost certainly something for everyone coming. Now let’s just hope it all comes out good.

How surprising, dark souls 2 at the bottom of the list, and 30 FPS capped bloodborne at the top. I realize after seeing so many of these, that I look at the souls series in a completely different light than most. Aesthetics, area diversity and overall replayability are the main priorities for me, and in this regard DS2 blows everything else out of the water. There is no Way in hell that a 30 FPS capped game will ever even be the halfway up the list, much less at the top. If I were to rate, it would be 7. Bloodborne. anything that gives you a headache to play simply can't rank much higher. End of story. 6. Demon souls original, or remake. Lack of interconnectivity of levels, immediate fail. Some allowance made for the fact that it was the first. 5. Sekiro. While some people might like one continuous graphical theme throughout an entire game, just like some people might like one album by a band where every song sounds the same, it ain't making it for me. 4. Dark souls 3. Better, but repetitive level design, too linear. 3 Dark souls. Now we're getting somewhere. But clunky and outdated. 2. Elden Ring. Could be number one, but... 1. Dark souls 2. if I put this next to ER, I will simply go back to DS2 for a replay. The world is incredibly dynamic. All the criticisms of it are based on nerdy minutia like hit boxes and life gems. But the command that the game establishes over your psyche, is untouched by any other, with the possibility of ER. I could see if I had played ER first I probably would lean in that direction.

All that crying and whining over the Chalice Dungeons!! 🙄 I for one, loved them and had a blast with another challenge. It felt like a game within the game. I concentrated on them as soon as I was able to access them (After the Blood starved Beast fight in the regular game)Once I was done with the Dungeons, the rest of the game was a cakewalk.

I feel like whatever order you played these games in will definitely reflect how difficult they were for you and how much you enjoyed them. I started with Demons Souls, so it was the hardest for me until I understood the formula. Every game that came out after got easier for me. If I played Dark souls 3 first, then the older ones would probably be hard to play so it will vary from person to person.

I'm very interested in Monster Hunter and Yotei, but not really any of the others. But there's so much coming in 2025 that I'm guaranteed to not have time to play it all any way. There's 10 games I want to get, in the first 3 months of 2025 alone! And that's just the one's that have a confirmed release date.

59:00 Just from personal experience, on my first playthrough I skipped a lot of minibosses I didn't enjoy fighting and it didnt hurt my experience, the extrinsic rewards are nice but you don't need every prayer bead to beat the game and its perfectly feasible to skip some of the worst instances of reuse.

do another analysis after beating everyboss focusing on parry, without spamming mortal draw and charmless I'm sure your opinion wil change and you will enjoy the game even more, it's a masterpiece

Funny confession. I played bloodborne for 2.5 hours and I’m outside the door of where you start. I just couldn’t do it lol. I’m on sekeiro now and it’s hard but I like the quicker combat for sure. I’m not much better at it though.

Silksong is still at the top of my list, despite what issues people have with its development. Like you said, there’s not another game that really did the same thing for me as Hollow Knight. I’ve played about 8 other metroidvanias since HK (with the most recent being Pseudoregalia that I played _completely_ just yesterday, on the first day of the year), and the only one to reach a similar level for me was Salt & Sanctuary. I don’t mind waiting for Silksong, because I know I’m not likely to find another game to replace it in the meantime. Out of the two games that are confirmed to release next year, Nightreign is the one on my list that I’m maybe looking forward to a little bit more. The idea of a roguelite with FromSoftware design and quality does sound like an exciting prospect. But unlike a lot of people online, I’m going to wait until I’ve played the game in order to form an opinion of it, rather than deciding whether I love or hate the game based off one trailer and a bunch of assumptions. Because I still remember when the first Elden Ring gameplay leaked in 2021, and a bunch of people online were calling it “just a DLC for Dark Souls 3”. Right before the game came out a few months later and turned out to be nothing like a DLC. The last game on my wishlist is Hyper Light Breaker. I played Hyper Light Drifter back in 2018, and it was fine - I enjoyed my time with it, but had no interest in ever going back to it again. I’m big into the concept of 3D action roguelites, after Risk of Rain 2 came out some years ago, and HLB seems like it could be a good example of that.

Dark Souls 1 is my favorite game of all time. DS3 is my least favorite Souls game. I still love DS3, but it’s my least favorite
