I always feel like in these types of situations, you should be looking for three position players, SS CF and C, because you can always transition them to other infield positions, and focus SP over RP unless you find someone with overpowering stuff in a closer role.

I once drafted a big, hefty outfielder in 15 the Show named Anibal Lyon. He eventually became a 99 overall monster with 99s for contact & power vs both handed pitchers. Had multiple seasons with 80+ homers and 200+ RBIs! Couldn’t run or field for beans, but who cares when you’re producing that much at the plate?

@@brendonbuffaloe8830 baseball is a different sport than football though. Prospects needs alot more time before they succeed in MLB usually this trend tracks in RL.

This is much better than Madden, but I do wish they’d give a little more separation with the blue chip prospects. You should be able to tell the difference between a guy with 97 potential and a guy with 90 because you’d definitely be able to irl
Occasionally you can catch a non blue chip that has 90+ potential, but it’s rare. Need to take blue chips, especially early on in the rebuild. If you’re a playoff contender drafting around 20, go ahead and pick those guys that can help right away. That being said, the scouting is dumb and hasn’t changed in years. I’m getting bored.

Whenever I play franchise mode I make alot of trades for good starting pitchers so my bullpen is filled with starting pitchers that would start on other teams. It makes sense so you can rest your starters more and use your bullpen starters because well they are starters
shout out to that one Joe Random at the 23 minute mark staying the course unlike the other cowards, and being kept in the league on a 16 era. Has also improved his ovr by 13 points 🔥

Was I seeing things with a lot of your pitchers being Two-ways? Might have been interesting to see how those would have helped as well if they were. Lol nvm was answered later on. Love the draft stuff. Always satisfying to see how well or poorly you do when looking at the potentials of draft picks.
I just realized watching this, as I’m starting my franchise tomorrow; that they don’t even have the new playoff format. It’s supposed to be 12 teams and the wild card acts as a 3 game series instead of a winner take all. Oh that’s really ass. Like how do you not add that. I usually wait to start my franchise after the deadline so I don’t have too make the moves myself. I was really looking forward to that new playoff format. Where is the immersion? On a next Gen console nonetheless smh. The rule change came in the off-season way before the game came out. But you add the extra inning runner rule? San Diego Studios get it right!!!!
