Continues to draft pitchers and watch position players he wants get drafted.
But for real great video!!
As a real life MLB draft tip, always draft a position up the middle (catcher, pitcher, shortstop, center field) with your first round pick because it is easier to transition those players to other positions if they do not pan out at their original position (for example, converting a SS to 3B or 2B or a SP to a RP or CP)

Getting a generational catcher saved my Joe Random franchise as the Indianapolis Arrows. 2024 draft 2nd overall. 79 overall great hitting solid fielding. I have him at DH because I also drafted an elite fielding catcher with B potential. Good catchers are unicorns in these drafts, so I am counting my lucky stars. LOVING the new scouting and draft compared to what it used to be
I love it too but my only complaint is that I feel like it’s way to pitcher heavy there will be drafts where there are no goof position players and only pitchers

wayyyyyyyy too many generational talents in my opinion. the odds to find one needs to drop drastically! the fact you can find two in one draft class is absurd. "GENERATIONAL"!!!!!! it really should mean one in every 15 to 20 years but if you make it 1 to 2 every 5-10 years thats fair. its way too easy to find them
Generational talents are always at the top of the draft list and 18. Not hard to miss them.

there are WAYY too many in this game. its kind of annoying. should be a lot more rare to have one in a draft class
@@rektorik84I don’t think so because there is a lot sure but they’re not always a top 5 pick I’ve seen generation guys go round 2 and in competitive balance round as well , I’d say they’re easy to find early but also super easy to miss on them considering sometimes they just drop further .

We appreciate the quality content! It can't always be easy playing to create content for your viewer base when there's probably other things you'd rather be doing.
The way they have scouting set up for position scouting by region HEAVILY favors scouting pitching by region and kind of hoping with spot scouting position players individually.
They really ought to have you be able to scout infield and outfield as a whole by region, or at least group some positions together (2nd/short, 3rd/1st, whatever).
You can literally scout every starting pitcher, in every region, with two good scouts. You can’t do that, or even close to it, with position players.
I have plenty of pitchers I just need any position players *drafts more pitchers*

My last draft no generational but pick potentials were 88, 90, 84, 89, 80, and 88.

Love the vids man, what are your thoughts on just scouting specific guys around your pick range or do you think sticking with sticking with positions is the safest way to go?
That works too, I just scout the position to get a bunch done at a time. But I will have a scout assigned to specific players too. Kinda just mix it up depending on what I see
Did my draft only rebuild with A's. Took me until 2030 to make the playoffs and won the world series in 7 against Miami. The same team we started the season against.
The CPU auto drafted 2 generational talents for me and also signed ohtani Soto and Bobby Witt with a bunch of other prospects and won a World Series with the A’s

How were you able to scout so many players? Did you do regions and positions or did you pick out individuals for the 3 spots?
I feel so bad for you ant. I'm sorry but if a team is going 0-162 they should have the first overall pick in the draft, no contest, even with the lottery
I drafted a right fielder who looked decent from the Dominican Republic; he was an 81 overall right off the bat, huge pop at the plate and elite speed, the only thing he wasn’t elite at was discipline, obviously a 99 overall after 2 years

Tbh trading for drafted players feels so easy this year. Anytime I miss out on a player I feel I can almost always trade for them with an aged vet who doesn't have tht much in the tank anymore

I just finished my first week of scouting. Set one scout to discovery and he discovered 4 players. How do I see the 4 players he discovered. I thought it would be as simple as clicking on the scout but that didn't work.
Make your joe randoms 55 overall, with 65 potential. They don’t retire right away and will help keeping your roster full 👍

I started a new fantasy today with the diamondbacks using the roster you showed yesterday. I finally drafted a generational talent but sadly it was a CF so my outfield is Carroll, Generational Talent, and McCarthy. Druw jones is still 22 in the franchise but he’s already at a 76 and McCarthy is 88
Put him in left or right field and if that is covered trade him for an infielder prospect
I also always do this challenge but since it always gets to stacked for me I play with the As and any player I drafted I have to trade if their is a prompt to
One thing I learned from this video is that when there players that are unscounted with high potential ratings late in the draft you take them

btw when Rice's overall was pointing down, but all his stats went up. Its because you made him a reliever at the start of the season so his overall really dropped and never got back up to its original overall

There needs to be year round scouting on prospects. The way it’s set up just makes it so too heavy. Impossible to get guys scouted for every round of the draft

See my first and second picks I seem to suck at choosing but after that in the mid to late rounds I find 85+ players

Dude the AI in this game is so idiotic, I set my roster moves to auto because it's tedious to do on my own, they have released 3 mid 80s players over the course of a few seasons, one being a then 23 year old 88 ovr 96 potential player 😭
