    Raymond, I believe that pressure was placed on Pope Benedict XVI and that is why he wasn't so strict with Bishop McCarrick and could also be why he resigned? At the funeral Mass of St. John Paul II, Cardinal Ratzinger said that the Church had "wolves in sheep's clothing..." The wolves are the ecclesiastical freemasons. They protect and support one another no matter what.

    I just found out about you today. What a great couple of interviews you have done. This and the one with Patrick Coffin. I am a very new Catholic, only been confirmed at the Catholic Church of the Holy Name in Adelaide, Australia on August 15th 2018. I have come at a time when the Church is going through a very difficult period indeed. So keep up your great work.

      Carl Strehlow Keep the faith, it seems quite apparent that God has gifted you with a strong faith to be confirmed during this craziness. Congrats to you brother, keep close to your Rosary as Blessed Mother will be the Ark during the modern flood we see, btw idk how informed in Scripture you are but this type of homosexuality problem is what God wipes out humanity at the flood, but that shouldn’t worry you. You need to draw closer to Mother Mary evermore during this crisis as she is the new ark always trying save repentant souls during this crisis and this should be seen as entirely bad as this is in someway a spiritual work of mercy as to alert those who are not entirely prepared to get ready. God Bless and Love you dearly!

      I know as a Catholic, we are going to go through hard times indeed. I joined the Church, that for many reasons, but ultimately this is the Catholic Church is the original. I could say more on this. Thanks to a Fulton Sheen in troubled times he talked of praying the Rosary everyday, something still foreign to me. But as of the 24th of August, I am trying to do just that with all my other prayers. I know that intersession of Mary and the Saints to pray for us is important. I know now that Catholics do not worship Mary or think of her as God. I think the traditional Orthodox prayer 'Jesus Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner' is also important to say. It looks like God's judgment is coming. I have found an excellent parish. It conducts the Latin Mass and it is so blessed with many people, including young people, people with large families. All from what I can see love God. I am starting to appreciate the Mass and what that verse in the Apostles creed 'The Communion of Saints' truly means.

    • @playstationuniverse1
      @playstationuniverse1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And in all honesty the Rosary is called The School of Prayer and if you’re a convert and you’re just starting with the vocal prayers, God is very patient with converts cause he knows that it’s a process. But don’t worry about the meditations right away just build the habit of learning the prayers first

    • @playstationuniverse1
      @playstationuniverse1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Carl Strehlow I also my friend am an avid supporter of The Latin Mass but do tread with caution in the Latin Mass circles as they’re many who are so hurt by the theological damage over the last 50 years and some exhibit tendencies that borderline on paranoia and those are the ultra Trads that think that they are holier than thou, and think that every little thing is a sin, and just so you know I’m a Trad as well, but I just want to forewarn you that some of the fringe elements of the Church congregate at the Latin Mass. Not saying judge them but for your own peace of mind stay with the young families, if you see those who tend to be on the conspiratorial end that makes The SSPX look mainline steer clear and just pray.

    • @thecatholicmouse
      @thecatholicmouse 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Mike, these people at this parish are great. Yes, there are many who are do not like the Novus Ordo Missae. I have yet to really experience itself, though I did have a look at it when I was at the St Francis Xavier's Cathedral in Adelaide CBD, where for my first penance I had to walk there and pray the Rosary. It was very much like the Lutheran Church liturgy I use to go to. I like the 1962 Missal. I have yet to see what the new one looks like. What I do like, aside from the fact this is a sung Mass where they are blessed with a wonderful choir, I do like the periods of silence. I know what Cardinal Robert Sarah means on the power of silence. You need it. I actually go to the church 30 minutes early so I can hear the silence. I also like the Confessions which can still be daunting. I worry about my sins as I never want to deliberately withhold anything I need to confess anything. That is a really great sacrament.

    I had the same reaction as arroyo to the letter regarding Benedict. When you’re a ceo, you’re relying on what your managers tell you. Benedict wouldn’t have known every detail about what the cardinals and archbishops were doing because an executive simply can’t micromanage everything. I totally believe certain cardinals could have kept Benedict in the dark. That goes for Francis as well. But Francis’s statement on the letter combined with his past statements about homosexuality make me suspicious personally.

    Accusations require evidence before they need to be answered. If an accused person is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty then the accuser must be presumed to be a liar until they can prove they are truthful.

    "Don't leave because of Judas." True.
    As my parish priest said from the pulpit this past Sunday, Jesus lost 1/12 of his first-round Bps. (Judas).
    God's Power will be known and Jesus' will be glorified through all purification that needs to happen with this diabolical lot.
    So many questions now about Pope B IX stepping down before his death.
    Can Pope Francis' Popehood be "annulled?"
    Keep up the good work of covering this situation, and keep the faith.
    On the evening of the first day of the week, even though the disciples had locked the doors of the place where
    they were.... Jesus came and stood before them. "Peace be with you." He said. (Jn. 20:19)

      And as that Bishop said, when the chips were down, only ONE of the E LEVEN were with the women at the foot of the cross. One in twelve bishops is worth a damn. Our percentage are, I fear, even worse. We celebrate the saints because they are so damned few.

      But unlike Judas, the 10 that fled died to themselves, embraced forgiveness from God, and were saved. Interesting that we don't have play-by-plays of where they went, how they spent there time until the Resurrection. So, it wasn't really 1/12. These 10 included Peter,and Jesus did not reneg on his appointment of Peter as first Pope.

    hearing about mccarrick and wuerl is so infuriating. the nerve of him that he would not pass a letter from the Vatican to the american bishops and this was the least of his crimes and deceit. it makes my stomach sick about their behavior. so evil...just so evil. I am saddened by this. how can we know about these men in the church? I wish Pope Benedict would have never resigned. Pope Francis always seemed to cultivate confusion and now look at the mess we are in..it hurts.

    "…Let us speak out and say plainly what worries us today… We are tempted to say, if we are honest with ourselves, that the Church is neither holy nor catholic… The centuries of the Church’s history are so filled with all sorts of human failure..."
    Saying that the Church is “holy” is not to say that each and every one of its members is immaculate and saintly. Ratzinger says that this dream of an immaculate Church has been reborn in every age, but that there is no place for it in the Creed, and indeed, the harshest criticisms of the Church are born from this unrealistic dream of a spotless Church.
    "…This holiness expressed itself precisely as mingling with the sinners whom Jesus drew into his vicinity; as mingling to the point where he himself was made ‘to be sin’ and bore the curse of the law in execution as a criminal-complete community of fate with the lost… and so revealed what true ‘holiness’ is: not separation, but union; not judgment, but redeeming love."
    Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, Intro to Christianity, 1968

Allowance need to be made for well-intentioned gay priests who fall occasionally but 'how much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?' - Hebrews 10:29.
