It’s just the slack on the return side where there is less pull. If you run a chain too tight on one of these you’re just asking to walk a bearing in your primary or transmission. The output bearing on a 6 speed is pretty weak to begin with so you want to be right around 1 1/4 inch in your chain slack.

But it seems to allow the motor to breath more at the top end, and the amount of power available at lower revs is more than adequate - indeed it'll make the bike more tractable in town and traffic..... I would say that the bike would be good fun to ride with plenty of torque for everyday riding and lots of brute force above 3500rpm.... plus those open pipes sounds GREAT !!!!!!
It's nitrous, not n/a that's why. As if they've got the secret recipe to 200+ whp n/a no one else has. There's way too many Harley shops out there for this to be the only one to make it magically happen.
@@RidinDirtyRollinBurnouts Then where is the bottle that is the tank for the nitrous ? The graphs show that the pipe is not providing enough back pressure centering around 3500rpm, when the engine gets up around where the torque starts to taper off - this is normal for S&S 143's. The BHP also suffers at 3500 but it is higher at 4 to 5000rpm - again normal for this engine. and such a big engine is never going to breath correctly at lower RPM if the heads are set up (with bigger valves) for top end power. This is showing that the pipes are just too small for the size of the engine - and that is why S&S markets their own pipe just for the 143 which avoids the (probably reversion) problem . Remember this engine was built for baggers and bagger riders don't rev their bikes that high...... S&S know more than most shops and certainly more than you do !

And for the record I actually own a scratch built turbo vrod making 162rwhp on bone stock engine and injectors on 9psi from a t3 turbo off a saab 900, been in the bike and still running strong 13 years later and I built the entire system and thats a 69 cubic inch engine with low boost. As for the 454 reference I also own supercharged 496bbc in a 454ss now making over 1k hp on 12 psi from a v-27 vortech ysi-B billet wheel blower. Afr heads chris Straub custom roller cam hooker supercomps and csu blow thru carb. And an 88 fxr built 96" s&s ported heads woods cam putting down 114 hp 116 torque on 91 octane. Read a book build something and educate yourself.
HOW MUCH WOULD THIS BIKE COST PLEASE, THANK YOU, GREAT BIKE, I WANT ONE!
that chain gona kill somebody lol
Not trying to be a dick but I’m not seeing 200plus on gas normal aspiration harley engine pulling 200. I could be wrong but you would need 180 cu at least. Iv run fast harley and over 100 hp to me is great. But unfortunately harley has lost me and many other customers.
go indian?

@@ronjacobsen3264 what torque? torque wins races?
@@billgonzales8978 Not a drag bike but it will break 200mph. It's plenty fast from a standing start. Street legal and most important totally dependable. Don't have to worry about it flying apart.
Holy fucking chain flop! But otherwise very cool build
That chain looking very sus....
Its a s&s purposely built large displacement engine. Ot a built up stock harley engine. I can put a Pratt Witney f100 engine in a frame and get 1000s of horsepower so what? Lets see a built stock harley engine on 93 no blower turbo or nitrous pull 200 plus.
BS meter pegged all the way right. No Way Without Spray!
Fuel Moto has tested a 143 past 200hp now also. Damn would this be fun in my Dyna
Bro builds a badass bike but……. That chain slap is about to fuck your shit up if you keep ripping it like that especially standing next to it like that……
You can hear the nitrous hit in the video and see where it comes in on the dyno graph!! Nice try with the "all motor" claim there fellas!!😂
@Ben Franklin If you look at 3:05 with the bike all assembled they are blurring something out by the gauges and the power is not linear it jumps fast at around 3500 so I would question this.
What's the point ? Nothing bout that bike says H.D to me, now that's just me
oh the sound does!
Everything about does. Harleys rule
Do the Heads on a 80 Inc and a good tune you will embarass these big inch motores
You're dreaming
Thats a bad torque dip from 2,750 to 3,250 rpms..
Gear shift?
@@westcoast3595 you don't shift during a dyno pull
@@Doppelwhoppermcdonald well ya do to get there. It was a cut in where he was already in high gear. As far as knowledge goes. It depends on what ya want to know during other gears. Glad you are looking to be smart.
It's prob a race bike that will rarely see those RPMS except on the tree waiting to launch
Idk why you'd run a chain anyway.
Dwayne Henning with that engine, a belt would probably say goodbye on ya after a short amount of time
@@A_Ride_To I'm doubtful. If the belt and tire are aligned correctly, the belt won't break.
@@9kfx450rider3 belt would break with that much power. That's why you don't see drag bikes with belts.
@@Joshg1984 lol I've seen huge drag bikes with belts.
WOW! REALLY
After the dyno the thing probably needed a rebuild already lol
What is the recipe
The most expensive parts list u can put together front to back is the recipe. Dream build status on this!
Lots of nitrous

MONEY
All you need is s&s 143 with star racing work . 200 hp all day
Booooooom
Beast 👍👍👍👍 looks like that short pipe kills the bottom end
But it seems to allow the motor to breath more at the top end, and the amount of power available at lower revs is more than adequate - indeed it'll make the bike more tractable in town and traffic..... I would say that the bike would be good fun to ride with plenty of torque for everyday riding and lots of brute force above 3500rpm.... plus those open pipes sounds GREAT !!!!!!
It’s a Fab 28 exhaust. They actually make really good numbers and are quality pipes. Totally customizable but expensive as all hell.
@@humoroustumor Mmm, I see - $1800 US for my 113" Dyna..... well I will try to be good all year and maybe Santa will be kind !
Nice peak numbers but all really way up in the high RPM range and nowhere a H-D lives in the real world.
That chain also is what happens when you don't use a cush drive lol
Jesus christ show some professionalism and tighten that chain properly
It seemed we lost a few hp with it snugged up. Loosened it again to try and break 210whp, ended at 209.99 lol

@Jesse Mitchell I believe u are thinking of the "S1000 RR" not an "S1000R" as he wrote. Which is designed for all the things u mentioned, look it up. They are one of the top choices for riding vacations all over Europe, due to their comfort, power, handling, braking, riding position, equipment, luggage etc. etc. :)
@Jesse Mitchell A couple of their models have had reliability issues (although no worse than a couple of manufacturers I could mention) but in general, for decades reliability and rugged construction has made them the weapon of choice for globe trotters since I began riding in the late 60's
