@@tokkisvk9723 I know it's their fault. They used it incorrectly (i.e. on it's own instead of supporting an attack) hence it 'did nothing' in terms of the wider battle. They might as well have shot the barrage into an empty field.

Also firing it across the map means its dispersion is crazy wide. They should be using it like more effective mortars, not long range arty

Rocket Arty is meant to stun and panic enemy infantry especially in towns or forests immediately prior to an attack. Check out a dude named Razzman, he's got videos about this games mechanics and meta.
I was also going to say that players probably wouldn’t move their units during rocket spam, so you could use it as a distraction/pin a sector down. Mortars are a more precise arty if people are looking to actually kill things
Unless your using the ATACAM that thing is basically gods middle finger to every vehicle.(even low flying helicopter cant escape)
I barely begun and trying to learn the game, but even I should think a rocket arty is useful at something. I know from when I played Wargame: European Escalation, a rocket arty is getting less accurated the further out it fires at

Ok so there's actually a way to make rocket arty kinda useful, and that's when you get around 8 German rocket arty as a support specialist deck. When you have 8 MARS or MARS-2 trucks, you can essentially say "Fuck this general area" and usually take out something important. I like to use them to soften up the towns before an assault, because when you hit critical mass with those bastards they always end up taking out some aspect of cover and an entire squad of enemies with it.
Actually tried that a couple if weeks ago with 4 LARS 2, and it is fairly effective, but also tends to empty your FOB quite quickly.
It sure as hell looks impressive though!

Nice coincidence that you release this a few days before the South Africa nation pack was announced.
I think the forests still provide cover after being burned is largely to prevent players from just burning down every forest on the map as a strategy, as that would make them pretty much useless.

Rimmy the way to use the rocket arty is getting them at closest range so that they saturate their target zone, also watch out for any napalm arty with HE as these means thermobaric shells that stun them while burning them alive, e.g. the burratino

The thing with Rocket arty is that it stuns the crapp out of your army. In support of a defence or offensive, that is a game changer

Rocket Arty is a suppression tactic occasionally theres some collateral but overall its to supress a large area for a sustained amount of time to be able to position troops for a counterattack.
Granted not enough collateral in this game. In real life im sure that shit would be scary

You ever try a rocket artillery only game in Wargame: Red Dragon? Get some AA in the hills on the first map they played and get ready to run supplies constantly. By minute 30 you should crash most people's games and your AA net "should" keep the artillery safe. It's fucking beautiful when you see the frame drops because you literally blotted out the sun with rockets.
If you're wondering Germany is the best for Rocket Artillery in my personal experience. Longest Range and multiple types of rockets.

The correct way to use rocket artillery is to have them massed and to stun zones in preparation for an immediate push. Four BM-21s hit a town then you shove endless motor rifles into the town to murder everything while they’re suffering from intense PTSD
Rimmy and friends need to play a comp stomp on this game with a KPA/China spam deck on max difficulty and watch the rockets blot out the sun!
This game has definitely been getting a few updates and online attention here and there. I'm even getting back into it a little at a time, starting with the Busan Pocket campaign as a personal warmup.

I just had a dream where Rimmy and Iron where in a fake mcdonalds, investigating a terrorist attack, and start playing a ww2 real time strategy with nukes. Rimmy has like 5 nebelwerfers while Iron was stockpiling nukes and winning the midground fight. Rimmy manages to kill everything Iron spawns with the rockets, accidently hitting the 4 nuke stockpile of Irons, killing everything on map except a panther g on irons side who had suffered from engine failure. Point is, why am i having dreams about youtubers?
