I just love the easy way these tutorials go together, They are very plane and simple. Takes alot of the measuring out of the projects. Thanks Jenny I just love the Missouri Star Quilt Co.
The Kansas Troubles color palette is warm and wonderful. So is the interaction between Lynne and Jenny. My favorite comment in this tutorial is "Oh look at her smart all turning her ruler." What a joy to watch Jenny in action!
I just watched this vid again because it is one of my favorites. Lo and behold, I watched this 2 years ago and left a comment. Much time has passed. Because of Jenny, I have a successful business, and still purchase nearly all of my fabrics from M*. Thank you both Jenny and Lynn for this wonderful vid. I'll make something with this ruler and post it here! Nancy
this is a BLESSING from heaven! Just what I needed for my toddler granddaughter's doll quilt I need to make for her 2nd birthday. Ill give her a sewn up doll plus her mummy's doll cot with a home made quilt for dolly of course! how wonderful !Thanks once AGAIN GIRLS!! Marietta, Brisbane!
I am so excited to have the ruler and be able to make this quilt. Can't wait to start Lynn Hagmeier and Jenny Doan are absolutely wonderful together They get along so well and all the smiles just make it seem so easy!! Love all of Jenny's you tube videos--so so easy to follow along!!
I've watched this video several times, and it just cracks me up. It's a WONderful pattern, and ruler, I love it. But the energy you both have together is delightful.
This is just beautiful! I felt like a stupid head watching this, I'd catch myself sitting here smiling at you two and watching the video! lo, Great quilt!
What is so fantastic is that you don't have to cut up and 'lose' all your darling little mini charms! You get to see the maximum of them! I can't wait to do this. Over to buy the ruler now!
I’ve just completed my first attempt at the spare change quilt. I love this idea and can’t wait to try the bigger size. Love the Kansas Troubles fabric range 😊💕
I love this quilt pattern! I’m going to make it with a Kaffe Fassett and a Moda Clover Blossom Farm. I love the Kansas Troubles fabrics, they’re gorgeous! I always listen to music when I make quilts and the fabric and colors help determine what I listen to. The 5 and Dime name is wonderful as one of my favorite singers has a song called Love at the Five and Dime. Thank you for this!
I just ordered the template! I have so many rulers but this looks like fun. Cant wait to get it. I have numerous baby quilts to make for great nieces and nephews. This will add a different dimension!
You ladies should really get together more often! You're brilliant :) Thank you for this tutorial. I saw the quilt on your Q&A video and loved it, especially the way it is quilted. It is on my goal list x
Another favorite, I have bought the fabrics and the ruler. Still working on my lattice quilt but as soon as I am finished with this I am going to make this five and dime quilt
Im going to make this quilt. I ordered the template for it....can't make it till after Christmas as making Christmas Gifts now.....got 4 to make. Thank you, luv your Five & Dime........GREAT!!!
Got this book in June and my friend almost wore it out looking at it while I drove home. I made one the next day in no time at all. My friend got the book a couple months later when we went on a shop hop and has been making them. I love the Kansas troubles and the small gatherings from Moda.
OOOOh you have the little one! I love using those 2 1/2 " rulers. Ladies, have a Happy New Year. Thank you for all the tips. I am currently reorganizing my itty bitty craft room and getting ready for quilting in 2014. Yeah!
Loved this tutorial so much I bought my rulers and book from KT and just got my fabric from you so I am ready to start. I got the Grant Park fabric so this is going to be my summer table cloth, beautiful red, white and blues, Thanks Jenny and Lynne
I love this. I bought the little mini's and didn't have a clue what I would do with them. I just liked them. Now, I know. Thanks for another great tutorial.
I have made that quilt and love it. However, that five and dime ruler is my all time favorite. I use it for nearly everything. The best investment and I encourage you all to get one. You can use it on layer cakes, or charms, and it makes trimming snowballs easy too.
I love this quilt and technique. Nice job KCT! Today's DD at the M* is you Christmas line called Holiday Wishes. I am going to make this quilt using a Layer Cake and Charm Pack. I'll be sure to send a picture to you when it is completed. Thanks again Jenny & Lynn!
I just noticed on my Five and Dime ruler that it shows placements for turning your 5" charm on an angle to make a diamond in the center of your 10" block. I believe I will now have to give that a try and see what happens. Thank you for your tutorials Jenny!
I think it would be super cute using a kona solid in the charm square spot, but then I think it would look awesome in just about any fabric line! I also love the use of pinked edges.
I love these videos. I gave my daughter-in-law a sewing machine for Christmas & she is excited about learning to quilt. However, my son is in the US Navy so they don't live close to me & I can't help her. I gave the Missouri Star website so she will have plenty of help from Jenny.
Jenny there is another KS trouble patterns that would be great for as video. It's called Cattail Creek by Kansas Troubles quilter Lynne Hagmeier. I totally enjoyed making this Five & Dime pattern. You both are great together.
Love the tutorial! Was chagrined to hit the MSQC website and find the rulers are not available yet! I am SO chomping at the bit to get them and create! Hurry! PLEASE! :D
What a neat idea. So many things you can do with this. I would try to do one with flannel. would it work if you made the seam on the charm pack 1/4 of an inch to get a bit more "fluffy"? Love this idea.
I was all pumped up to purchase the fabric, book and ruler to make this project. They are sitting in my cart. Very disappointed that the Five & Dime Ruler is currently out of stock! J
Love the five and dime quilt, bought the book and ruler and have made this. It turned out beautiful. However, when it was washed it frayed into the blocks and I had to go and sew them back together by hand. Made the seams 1/8 " but think maybe a bigger seam would be better. Any suggestions?
All the laughter and the relaxed fun of friends quilting together makes this my favorite video. One's like this make me wish I was there!
Hi Jenny - What fun your tutorials are. I absolutely love Jenny's sense of humour & the tutorials are easy to follow. Thanks. Jenny (thats Me)!
I just love the easy way these tutorials go together, They are very plane and simple. Takes alot of the measuring out of the projects.
Thanks Jenny I just love the Missouri Star Quilt Co.
Thank you so much Carol! Measuring is very intimidating for some people (myself included) so we like to figure out ways to eliminate it!!

The ruler is now available at MSQC's website; just ordered mine. That is, if they haven't already run out of the new shipment!
