- hi everyone. I purchased a front bumper chrome trim piece for my 2021 mazda CX-30 due to someone hitting my car while parked and essentially damaging this trim piece. In this video I go over how to remove and replace front bumper in order to get to this trim piece. You must remove both sides in order to change out one side or even both because of a clip that hold it together in the center of both trim pieces. enjoy the video and consider subscribing if you haven't done so already. you can follow me on Instagram @carsalan87
thanks for watching see you all on the next episode!
peace out!
Thank you for posting this. I need to do this soon to my GF’s CX-30
Appreciate the video! My trim piece is cracked and Mazda quoted me $800+ for the repair. Needless to say, I'll be tackling it myself soon. Did you follow a manual or any resource? Where did you buy the trim piece from?
I bought it original from the mazda dealer and tackled it on my own. If you're handy and have patience its not that hard to figure out should be about an hour until that part where I took off the bumper. All the best good luck with it. Take your time and use tools that will help you along the way to not break any clips or pieces. I'm here if you need me. Also I looked up the part online and got a better wholesale deal from a mazda dealer than I did if I were to go in person at the mazda dealer parts counter.
How do you think, is it possible to take it off using that bottom holes on the bumber? Feels like there is enough space to inject hand and reach out to screws.
What are you asking I'm sorry I don't understand the question?
@@carsalan1811 I mean, on the bottom of the bumber under the grill - there are holes. It feels like - it's possible to inject the hand in one of them and unscrew this molding from there? Do you think it's achieavable?
@sleepwalkergt I doubt it unless you have very thin hands. The trim piece is in the middle of the bumper its way easier to take off entire bumper rather than sneak it I think it would be more frustrating that way. All the best lmk how it works out for you.
Great Video!! Do you remember if there was any space behind the bumper? I want to add 4 parking sensors that are less than 4cm deep
You want to add aftermarket parking sensors?
Yes, to the front.
@jeffginsburg3603 there is space but Idk how you will drill holes and where you will place them. Does the kit come with DIY Instructions or you have to wing it?
They come with a drill bit to match the diameter of the sensors. I've installed these many times before. Occasionally I am unpleasantly surprised to find no space behind the bumper. I intend to go to my dealer to look at a higher priced trim to get a rough idea where Mazda puts them :)
@jeffginsburg3603 that's cool let me know how it goes.
Do you have the part# ? I need to replace the same
Hi if it's the driver side the part number is DGH9-50-7K0B
Hope that helps. You can use www.shopmazdapartsonline.com
