I bought a trim piece for my 2021 Mazda CX-30. DIY on how to R&R this on front bumper.

hi everyone. I purchased a front bumper chrome trim piece for my 2021 mazda CX-30 due to someone hitting my car while parked and essentially damaging this trim piece. In this video I go over how to remove and replace front bumper in order to get to this trim piece. You must remove both sides in order to change out one side or even both because of a clip that hold it together in the center of bo...

    How do you think, is it possible to take it off using that bottom holes on the bumber? Feels like there is enough space to inject hand and reach out to screws.

      @@carsalan1811 I mean, on the bottom of the bumber under the grill - there are holes. It feels like - it's possible to inject the hand in one of them and unscrew this molding from there? Do you think it's achieavable?

    • @carsalan1811
      @carsalan1811 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @sleepwalkergt I doubt it unless you have very thin hands. The trim piece is in the middle of the bumper its way easier to take off entire bumper rather than sneak it I think it would be more frustrating that way. All the best lmk how it works out for you.

    Owners manual for CX-30 Turbo says to use regular engine oil, non-synthetic. I noticed you filled it with synthetic oil. Do you think synthetic works better?

    • @carsalan1811
      @carsalan1811 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think a good synthetic oil for this car is good because it has a turbo charger I wouldn't personally use conventional oil in this engine. I also only use 93 octane gas when filling it up. Thank you for the comment.

      They come with a drill bit to match the diameter of the sensors. I've installed these many times before. Occasionally I am unpleasantly surprised to find no space behind the bumper. I intend to go to my dealer to look at a higher priced trim to get a rough idea where Mazda puts them :)

    • @carsalan1811
      @carsalan1811 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      "They" would be mechanic friends of mine and also car enthusiasts. The oil is the blood of the engine. As I stated in the DIY episode that metal is in the mating period when it comes to a brand new vehicle. Since the engine is brand new you would want to change the first initial oil from the factory after about 500 to 1500 miles many of my car enthusiasts friends said any metal shavings that would come off is within the first 500 miles so I chose 1000 only because majority of them say 1000. Hope that answers the question. Mazda recommended intervals are fine but for me 5k even with synthetic is my limit only due to the oil filter not being up to par with the oil. The oil will last longer but the filter doesn't. Thank you for your comment. Please subscribe if you haven't done so already.

    Every time I change the oil I put the oil cap on the gage cluster and the drain plug and new filter next to the new oil. This insures every step gets done and in the right order.

    I've never, and no one I know has ever changed the oil when it was hot from just being driven. The reasons being 1) why would you ? It's HOT, you risk being BURNED. 2) Hot metal expands making the filter harder to turn 3) Why not just wait and change the oil when the car has been sitting for a while and the oil has fully drained down to the pan? 🤤 4) It's HOT, you could get BURNED ! Yeah, I got your Badda Bing!

      I didn't mean extremely hot i meant hot enough to get a good flow, because in the winter time it doesn't have a good flow. Thanks for the comment and support. Make sure to subscribe if you haven't done so already.

      You want to drain while the oils is hot because all the contaminants are in suspension. When cold the impurities settle to bottom of pan and they do not come out with oil.

      Always drain the oil when hot/warm. Never cold.
