I use one aswell but it always leaves the raised ridge on the pipe. Admittedly I use the monument pipe debur anyway but I found in a bad position was easier with the m12 hackzall!
Yes, without a vent the trap will be siphoned when draining large amounts of waste. At least an auto air vent such a Studor vent should be used; assuming that the local jurisdiction allows allows.
@terrychristian5503 so it was done wrong yet the video is still up with people saying great job well done mate😂😂. People really think anyone can do anything which is true but doing it correctly and up to code is a whole different game.
@@exceleratorjoshua I know that UK venting practice somewhat depends upon the drain being half full thus providing a "wet vent" condition, but this assumption goes to pieces with small diameter pipe, 1-1/4 & 1-1/2 ID, because the available area of wetted surface is small, and water surface tension comes more into play; it tends to form a more U shaped surface with less air space above. Above pipes of 2 inch ID it is not so much of a factor which why you can have a 42 inch trap arm with a 2 inch waste.
This was so helpful. We even had some lead to make the washer and now no leaky sink! Thanks so much. Very clear explanation and images!
Being a newly qualified plumber been loving your videos. Professional and efficient,
Finally, a useful video on this topic! Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
The yellow/gold tin to your right hand side next to your tripod would’ve been prefect to draw around! 👌
Just spotted that 🤣🤣🤣
You do great videos mate, well done
I want to get better and will and stay consistent
I use Rothenberger 52000 Rocut 0-42mm Plastic Pipe Shear. Not bad. 👌🤓
Great job 👏👍

Brilliant loved the video many thanks for sharing
Why do you need the lead there with all the other seals/washers?
They wasn’t big enough to deal with the size of hole under
Where did u get that waste trap from?is it a standard waste or special belfast one?
What blade have you got in that saw as when I use them to cut plastic they are too aggressive and splinter the pipe?
Very fine Bosch blades, probs a bimetal
That is a nice saw what make is it and we're did you get it please
Excuse the silly question: what is that sheet you cut the hole and the circle out of? What should I search for if I want to buy it?
Vents aren't needed for your drains in your area?

What size trap/drain did you use on that please
