  • when it comes to fitting Oak worktops things get done a little difference as standard but when it comes to fitting a Belfast sink it can open even more obstetrical, in this video i need a drainer and the only way it with a router but then you need a jig which i don't have so i will make one, very easy and to the size i want.

Cracking job. The flappy splines on the jig were a bit scary but the finished drainer looked absolutely great 👍🏻

Thanks chief, I'm new to routing and this was just priceless for me, as I'm also new to biscuit jointing, and I'm about to make my own scaffold board kitchen worktops.
    Wish me luck fella!

I like when you said that you spend about a week making it then use it for 10 min and then never use it again 😂 loved your video. Thank you

Well done David I liked that one what a good way to get this drainer done. I would have been so nervous routing this out in solid oak mate but good work it looks very good.

Hi Kevin yes I've seen such jigs but as I didn't have one it made me think of so many others in the same boat so let's make one lol

Thanks for the video David - one question - there's no fall on the wider sections between the grooves - would water accumulate there when dishes are draining? Cheers, Tim

Hi Tim understand what your saying but it's just something that's not done and never seems an issue

I used a peace of multi panel as I have so much spare of this, it's a 10mm ply with a Formica cover on bother sides making it very strange and stable
