I just ordered my 35-100mm, cant wait to put my hands on it. I also have the kit lens, the 14mm and 20mm in my collection. I hope my budget collection will be full with this. 😅
Useful video Gary showing the capabilities of this lens. I have this lens and find it produces very sharp images that compare well against more expensive lenses despite its low price. It's such a small lens to cover 70 -200 range at full frame equivalent
It is definitely the most flexible one lens option for travel. I love it too, but I always like to experiment with my lens setup for travel, that's why I don't always carry the 14-140mm.
I have the 35-100 f2.8, I've come to enjoy it as a walkabout lens. Definitely not as compact and portable as the 4-5.6, but then the sun in Ireland is a little different to the sun in Bali. 😂 Favourite photo? I'm partial to the shot of the cargo ship with the plants in the foreground.
Hey nice choice as well, it's a great lens and it does have weather sealing. Thank you! 😁

I'm using GX880 and 35-100mm on holiday for the first time and I love this setup (inspired by your videos - thank you very much). It's ok even for handheld low-light photos if I don't need to shoot action. And I'm usually too lazy to change to 12-32mm kit lens for wider shots :D.
I have been travelling with the 12-60mm f/2.8-4.0 which I considered to be very versatile but it's a little heavy. I am tempted to grab a kit 12-60 f/3.5-5.6 from the used market. Realistically it should be quite adequate.
The only thing the Leica does better is gather more light than the lumix 12-60 other than that the 12-60 still gathers more light than the 12-32 and is as sharp as the Leica and for half the price is very impressive for a consumer lens it punches above its weight class for sure only pro zooms like Olympus have a different look and are better for they’re Olympus character and colors other than that the lumix is very good all video and images like life like with it

It's a fantastic lens, enjoy your new 35-100mm!

It's a wonderful little lens! Enjoy yours 😁😁
How about the Lumix 14-140? In my opinion that would be the most flexible one lens option for travel!? :)

For travel it’s pretty good but it lacks sharpness ❤
Super thanks

Good to bear you enjoyed the setup! It's a nice combo for sure 😁

I would need a 12mm - 35mm and a 100mm - 250mm to change with on my vacations
I agree because of the size and weight. Don't agree with the camera. Prefer Olympus.
No weather sealing, no good for real travel.
