I worked at a tech firm in nyc that did catered breakfast and lunches and I was shocked how entitled some of those people acted. If turkey bacon wasn’t on the menu that day or they ran out of quiches, some people would get legit upset.

I used to work a couple blocks away from Twitter HQ. There are some wonderful high end restaurants with a variety of international cuisines, falafel, delicious tacos, sushi, blue bottle coffee, the Melt (fancy grilled cheese, etc. All within walking distance and if that's not good enough for you - there's a whole ass Trader Joe's right on Market Street. They are so full of shit it's beyond pathetic. I also used to work in an industrial area of SF called Bayview, and within walking distance was a carry out Korean food restaurant that closed at 2 pm and this funky old oyster bar. Funny how I didn't "starve"

I’ve interviewed quite a few people in my time and I’ve always followed up on references. Imagine interviewing one of these people and then calling Twitter HR and they say the employee was terminated and they wouldn’t hire them again. 😂 You Google their name and see them publicly mouth off to their boss. That dude will struggle to find work.

I think Bay-area groupthink goes a long way towards explaining why the Twitter staff felt so emboldened to dunk on their new boss. They're so used to everyone around them espousing the exact same NPC views that they essentially think that flipping Elon the bird on the way out will give them five minutes of fame without any negative consequences. Hell, they probably aren't entirely wrong, I'm sure there are still oodles of woke SF tech startups that will hire them just for antagonising Musk.
That said, I'm rooting for Musk's massive layoffs to start a trend in tech. Wouldn't it be hilarious if a year from now most of the IT companies have laid off their woke commissariat and stopped pretending to care about social issues and the environment?

I worked at a tech firm in nyc that did catered breakfast and lunches and I was shocked how entitled some of those people acted. If turkey bacon wasn’t on the menu that day or they ran out of quiches, some people would get legit upset.

I used to work a couple blocks away from Twitter HQ. There are some wonderful high end restaurants with a variety of international cuisines, falafel, delicious tacos, sushi, blue bottle coffee, the Melt (fancy grilled cheese, etc. All within walking distance and if that's not good enough for you - there's a whole ass Trader Joe's right on Market Street. They are so full of shit it's beyond pathetic.
I also used to work in an industrial area of SF called Bayview, and within walking distance was a carry out Korean food restaurant that closed at 2 pm and this funky old oyster bar. Funny how I didn't "starve"
