The connection between royal families and sapphires has its roots in the Middle Ages. During this time, clergy members often adorned themselves with blue sapphires to symbolize the heavens, while the general population held the belief that these gemstones had the power to attract divine blessings. Sapphires have graced numerous royal crowns, garments, jewelry, and robes for as far back as our historical records can trace. Today we will explore the most iconic sapphire jewelry of the UK royal family.

I would really like to see Princess of Wales Catherine wear the tiara gifted to Queen Victoria from her Albert. It's time to flex her Pincess of Wales title and bring out some tiaras that haven't been seen in many decades.

That tiara no longer part of the Royal collection. It was given to one of Queen Victoria's daughters and was eventually sold. It later came up for auction and was to be bought by a foreign buyer but was held to see if it could be retained in the UK. A gentleman (Irish I believe) bought it for approx £6million and donated it to the Victoria and Albert Museum where it is on display to this day.

Maybe she could"borrow" it with the permission of the owner & the museum. I would also love to see her wear the emerald tiara that Albert designed for Q Victoria. That tiara is also at the same museum. Perhaps once she becomes queen she could make arrangements to borrow them here & there for some state dinners! 🤗

Beautiful Video🎉 Great work 👏 as usual! Did you know that Princess Di's Sapphire Ring was originally gifted to Prince Harry 🤴 in her will but he gave it to Prince William when he decided to propose to Kate because he thought it should rightfully be worn by the Princess of Wales? 😢 As a way to honor his mother with what should have been, what could have been.

And I'm so glad that Wm got the ring from hazmat whew they dodged a serious bullet. Personally I think the midnight cancatbury sapphires are the rarest but I could be wrong it's so blue it's almost black. Diana’s engagement ring could easily fetch £1 million at auction, or even more because of the provenance, but the truth is, *Prince Charles was roundly criticized by many in the press for being so cheap* as to buy his bride a ring that didn’t cost £30,000 at the time! I think I heard it sold for £27,000, when men of his wealth at the time spent as much as £1 MILLION for engagement rings! My husband could have bought that ring for me and he wasn’t nearly a millionaire, let alone on several times over.

She was not the home wrecker. Diana did it with her first affair after William's birth. She went ahead and wrecked 2 other marriages. Stop blaming Charles. He only became involved with Camilla again in 1986 after breaking up with her before his engagement. By then Diana already had quite a few affairs under the belt
